Old Fashioned-inspired Drink (Unsure of name)
Kizito N.

WOULD DEFINITELY recommend (dinner). Stopped by for a celebratory dinner for 2. The restaurant is located at the La Concha Resort, walking through the main lobby, keeping straight, and taking the first elevators to 'M' floor. Right away, this was one of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever dined in. The ambiance gives tropical with calm luxury, one of the best interiors I have EVER seen; Given the open concept design of the restaurant, there weren't any issues with it getting loud in there due to the multitude of conversations that were ongoing which was surprising. We were greeted by our main server but also had 2 other servers and 2 other food runners who catered to us during our stay. It was clear too that the staff knew the menu front to back, gave us so many details on the dishes to the point, almost gave us too much information (but never hurts to know more I guess) For the drinks, they have specific drink menu available in-person that I did not capture a picture of unfortunately, but for my drink, I basically ordered the equivalent to an Old Fashioned that they had on their drink list which was on par with other Old Fashioned (Rating: 8.2/10). They also have an extensive wine list as well. For the appetizers, we ordered the Fritto Misto (was basically fried shrimp, calamari, and Zuchinni with an aioli that I would absolutely DIE FOR. When I say that aioli was so good, I would get the appetizer again just for it (Rating: 9.0/10), blows Ranch out of the water in my opinion. I have never been obsessed with a sauce before (unless it's Wingstop Honey Mustard). For the entrees, we ordered the Cod, the Cappelletti, and Patatas Bravas (side). The Cod was a perfect texture with a tomato base that was simply amazing, didn't do too much and let the main part of the dish do the work (Rating: 8.9/10). The Patatas Bravas were cooked well with nice consistency and delicious sauce (they weren't too heavy with the sauce neither), came out piping hot which is what I like (Rating: 9.2/10), different style of potatoes that I am usually used to (e.g. au gratin, scalloped, wedged, etc.). Finally, the Cappelletti, nice al dente with the braised beef just tasting absolutely amazing, great presentation and adequate portion. To recap, this experience was very delightful and memorable. The service was of the highest quality and very active, cleaning the table as the meal went on and every food runner and server that came to the table made sure to say Happy Birthday to the celebrant, which I thought was very attentive. For the level of upscale dining present, the pricing was not horrible (compared to that of a standard American steakhouse/fine dining. With the different options they had on the menu to try, I would definitely think about revisiting the next time I am in Puerto Rico, a very comprehensive experience with no complaints. Well deserving of a 5-star review.

Giving 5 starts just for the ambiance and our waiter/waitress were kind. The food was good but I've better at that price point. Ordered the caviar pasta which was just butter and noodles, soft shell crab was nothing new you couldn't find elsewhere. Might have been the manager, bald older guy, wouldn't let us change our table to an empty table with a better view. Put a wine bottle on the table and said it was reserved after we requested it, no one showed up. Go, take your pic with your expensive meal in a shell.

The service here was top tier. The design is like a seashell and the it's beautiful inside. The food was delicious and authentic, made in house. I got a birthday card set at my table and even though we skipped dessert, we were given a small cookie to end the night.

An exquisite menu offering a unique dining experience curated by acclaimed, Michelin Star and James Beard Award recipient, Chef Michael White. Inspired by the Mediterranean, the menu is packed with creativity and flavor - Chef's story and vision speaks for itself. *The food - so much flavor, attention to detail and creativity in every plate. Every item is made to order, every dish comes out like a piece of artwork. *The service - absolutely phenomenal and everything you'd expect it to be. Friendly, knowledgeable and so top notch professional. This restaurant has been on our bucket list since we started planning this trip and it lives up to the hype. It's worth every penny... (lots of pennies) but food this phenomenal doesn't get a price tag when it's a bucket list - so bring your wallet because dinner for two will be over $400 when you're foodies like us. We were truly in awe of the dinner, the service and the atmosphere. It was the PERFECT date night.

Fritto misto

Located inside the La concha hotel this was a culinary experience for sure. Very attentive and friendly staff, the food leans towards Mediterranean flavors. Fritto misto with shrimp, calamari and zucchini with lemon aioli was fried perfectly. Branzino for two was delicious with some of the best Brussel sprouts I've ever eaten and white corn polenta was on point. Trio of gelato's for dessert ended the perfect evening. And you eat all this in a beautiful setting under a conch shell!!

I'm torn about my experience at Levant. It's a beautiful restaurant with great attention to detail. It was the perfect aesthetic for my 30th birthday dinner. However, it lacked in several areas. Service was extremely slow and seemed to be that way for everyone. It also took over an hour to receive our entrees and there was no apology. People around us also were at their tables for hours. Also it seems like they only enforce dress code for certain people, which is unfair. If you're good to have a strict dress code it should be the same for everyone. For the most part the food was really good. We started with the mezzo for the table and chose hummus, tzatziki, and tirokafteri. The tirokafteri was delicious! The whole table enjoyed it. However, the pita it came with was a little tough. We also ordered the fritto misto, which was perfectly cooked. The shrimp and calamari were tender. For my entree I ordered the lobster risotto, which was okay. I would have appreciated some Parmesan or something to elevate it. Although I enjoyed most of the food, I would not return to Levant.

incredible food, worth the price for the views and amazing service. check with the hotel first regarding parking because their valet gets full and the parking garage is a nightmare. overall the food, drinks and ambience were a 10/10.

Polenta - amazing

We went here tonight for the second night in a row. My husband just turned 50 and I put that in the notes to put the reservation. This restaurant is inside the La Concha hotel. You must make reservations and they have a pretty strict dress code so just make sure you please look that up before you go. If you're at the hotel and you didn't make reservations, no need to worry because they do have a bar in there that you do not need reservations for and you could order food from the bar area. We went here last night and we got the Bronzino for two and I came with two sides. We picked carrots and polenta probably the best carrots I've ever had in my entire life, and the polenta was delicious as well. I never had a whole Bronzino, so it was a bit nervous and excited at the same time, but there has served with no bones and no head. It was seasoned perfectly and delicious. Yesterday when we were replacing our dinner order, we were informed that we needed to order our desserts at the same time that we ordered our dinner because each is prepared separately by the chef and they needed time to do it. We opted for no dessert, but when they brought our check, they brought two little small cookie type items, two small, gummy's and a little disc of chocolate complementary Today we went and we got perfect seats and all three of the tables that were up against this window had a happy birthday index card type of a sign on the table. Tonight we ordered the cod, my husband ordered the swordfish and then we opted to get the fusilini with octopus pasta. The cod was good. It was over a bean type of a paste and it was a little boring the prosciutto they put on top along with the Swiss shard gave it a little bit more flavor. My husband's swordfish came with clams and mussels and potatoes that were small and perfectly round. The muscles in the clams were small as well, but his dish was delicious. The fusilini pasta with bone marrow and octopus was by far the star of the show. It was amazing with flavors and delicious. When you order one of the meals that are for two people which is a Bronzino and a steak those come with two sides however, if you order anything else off the menu, it does not include any sides and there should be an additional cost Because we each have a dish plus we shared the pasta. We had no room for any dessert after and no room for after dinner drinks as well. I'm not sure why we were not giving any complementary desserts like we were last night, especially since they knew it was my husband's birthday There appears to be a consistency issue. Tonight we were not asked to order dessert at the same time we ordered our meal like we were yesterday, but also yesterday we were given a complementary, very small, but it was still just a little something sweet for your palette that we did not get tonight Also, as we were leaving tonight, we saw a mother and a daughter who we've spoken with and hung out with a few times at the resort and she had told them to please bring us a drink and the waitress confuse us with another couple and we never did get that

We went to Levant to celebrate my father-in-law's 80th birthday. The food and service were impeccable. There was a birthday card waiting for my father-in-law upon our entry. We asked for the Chef to sign the card and they were more than willing to ask Chef White to sign the card and then even said they would see if he could come by later to wish our father-in-law a happy birthday in person! Guess what? The chef did come by and wished our FIL a happy birthday. Truly nice, friendly, personable staff. We had the mezze for the table and oysters for appetizers. We had the rack of ramb, the swordfish, the harissa chicken. We had the levant budino. Drinks were smooth and delicious, as well. They do give you a small bite for appetizer and a bite size dessert on the house! The ambiance of the entire restaurant felt like you were in a beautiful clam shell overlooking the ocean. A must try!

Amazing Service, Ambiance and Food. Love the rotating menu. Crispy Eggplant 10/10 Deserts are decent but the food is much better

Top Tier experience. If you visit Puerto Rico make sure to add this to your list at least once. We had an amazing time celebrating my nephew's baptism. Angel stood out among the servers. The ambience was intimate and the views are nice. The food was extraordinary. Thank you

We were in Puerto Rico for my friends birthday and we saw this restaurant on tik tok so we wanted to try it.. keep in mind we're coming from Las Vegas. The drinks were $26 each, which is EXTREMELY overpriced for what it is. The drinks on the Las Vegas strip are $20-21.. we did a family style dinner with everyone at the table. The chef did send out some complimentary spinach cracker featured in one of the pictures. For appetizers we ordered calamari & pita bread that comes with 3 sauces which is hummus, taziki & a cucumber honey one. They were good. For dinner we ordered the 26oz steak (6/10) I believe, patatas bravas (4/10) carrots (7/10) and a pasta (4/10) I forgot what it was called. They offered us deserts and I told the server that we were there for my birthday and if they had a mini birthday desert and he basically said no if we don't purchase one. Which again, is pretty insane coming from fine dining restaurants in Las Vegas that do a little complimentary desert & we paid over $500 for dinner. Their system also went down when we asked for the check And he said we could pay cash if we wanted to leave so we sat there for an hour after dinner was over waiting for our bill. The aesthetic of this restaurant is beautiful, but it's not worth the price or food.

However, we were about to leave to catch our flight back home, so we stopped in. Little did I know that they do serve local dishes as well. Since we had already had a lot of local dishes by this time, we ordered the sampler platter I think it was. We shared a platter with salad, rice, lamb chops, chicken kebab, beef kebab, and ground beef kebab. We also got the eggplant appetizer. We let Cecelia know that we were in a hurry to get to the airport on time to catch our flight home, and she made sure we were served quickly. It was really delicious! The rice was buttery, the bread was warm, the meats were all very tasty. It was a perfect lunch before we headed home. It was right across from the parking garage, so that made everything easy for us. We even enjoyed Cecelia's hot sauce even though it was a little too hot for me.

My brother and I tried dishes from both menus, and found it to be quite good. As we were walking past, a small sign for 'Grandma's Kitchen' caught our eye. My brother had been encouraging me to try Puerto Rico's national dish: Mofongo - mashed fried plantains. Unfortunately, restaurants were just packed with long waits and I wasn't in the mood to wait outside in the sun for a long time. The door next to the sign stated that it was a restaurant called 'Istanbul'. We peaked inside, and was welcomed warmly by a host, who let us know that the restaurant was both Grandma's Kitchen/Istanbul. There was nobody else dining inside, which was weird considering how every other restaurant in the area was packed. The dishes are made to order, so took a bit of time for it to come out one at a time. Mixed Seafood Stuffed Mofongo ($25) - served in a wooden pilon, the tall and narrow neck was stuffed with the mashed plantains, topped with a seafood blend of clams, dense fish pieces, octopus, and squid. The sauce was really well done, not too rich, but buttery enough to accentuate the seafood. I have to believe the seafood was prepared from frozen, but it tasted really good: a definite notch up from the seafood I've been having on the cruise boats. It was the first time having mofongo, and I liked it. This version had fried plantain chips, mixed with the mash of more plantains. I don't think this version had pork skin rinds, and I didn't miss it. It's extremely dense, so ended up eating maybe a third of it while finishing the seafood. It's a solid alternative to rice, though definitely can't eat too much of it. Doner Kebab ($18) - from the Istanbul portion of the menu, this dish was tasty, though the meat was cooked on a flat top grill like a burger patty, instead of on a vertical rotisserie. The lamb/beef patty was loosely formed and well seasoned, with the accompanying tzatziki sauce being a good add-on. Both dishes were cooked very well, the back kitchen has some skills. Service was friendly throughout. Water is not offered, but guessing they will give to you if asked. Payment was provided after the meal, and they do stick on a mandatory 15% gratuity for all party sizes.
