This place is behind a CVS and next to the world's sketchiest surgery center but me and my friends decided to give this place a try. Inside its run by assumedly the owner's kids and it gives a home-grown feel to the food being served. I know this place seems to be known for their sushi but I ended up getting the pad thai and my friend got orange chicken. Interestingly enough the orange chicken came with the orange peels still covered in sauce. We discovered this after biting into one and dissecting it. Odd but glad to know that there is genuine oranges in the orange chicken. The pad Thai on the other hand was unlike any pad Thai I've ever seen. The sauce was watery and brown and the flavor was... odd. Not bad per say but not really pad Thai either. Sure it may have had noodles, bean sprouts and peanuts but it was as Thai as Joe Biden is Russian, not really and could only even really be considered if your eyesight was impaired and you looked for half a second. The dumplings were fine and inoffensive. At the end of the day I may come back if I truly wish for some asian food but not regularly by any stretch of the imagination.

Pad Thai (I ordered with no egg)

This is one that I'm a little sure as to how to review it. The dining room is a little on the shabby side. I'm pretty sure the server may have also been cooking the good. She'd take an order or deliver some food and then disappear in the back until she brought something else out. I ordered the gyoza. They came with spicy ketchup. Something I'd never seen before and something I think is plain wrong. They tasted good, I like the way the had been fried, but didn't like the ketchup at all. I also got pad Thai. Also a very unusual presentation. I ordered without egg. It came with what I think was a peanut dust, that didn't really add flavor and gave the dish a very strange consistency. It also had green pepper. I'm not sure what the brown sauce was. It was a little sweet and a little spicy and I did like it. Overall, I did like the dish but would order without the peanut dust next time. There was only one other couple there when I was. I talked to them and they eat here quite a lot and have tried several different things. I think I will eat here again, but I do think it's a bit unusual.

Beautiful presentation here! We were just passing through and met a family member who lived nearby. It worked out great to meet here and catch up.

Chicken hibachi dinner! 2 thumbs up!

My kids insisted I leave a review. This place was really good. We had a couple of appetizers (edamame, gyoza and chicken on a stick), hibachi style meals and pad Thai. The only thing we didn't care for was the pad Thai. Everything else was amazing.

Pineapple fried rice with chicken, wonton soup, Thai tea, and gyoza.

We got this two nights in a row while staying in Town. I would have loved to dine in but we are traveling with two dogs that don't allow it. Both nights the food was delicious and the staff was so kind. I hope work brings us to Mount Vernon again so we can eat here!! Thai chicken fried rice with pineapple, Japanese Gyoza, Chinese wonton soup and two Thai tea. The food was still hot and tasted so delicious when we got back to the hotel. They have so much on the menu to try!!

Tempura shrimp sushi

This was my first visit. The waitress was quick to greet us and deliver menus. The menu is massive. There are so many choices that it can be a bit overwhelming. My husband ordered peanut chicken and I ordered tempura shrimp sushi. We also ordered the sugared donut appetizer for after the meal. The peanut chicken had a great crunchy coating and flavor. However, it was a bit tough. My tempura shrimp sushi was delicious. Also, the donut appetizer had about 10 donuts. It was very inexpensive. Our bill was surprisingly low for the amount of food that we had. I will definitely go back for more sushi.

My wife ordered hibachi filet and I ordered the hibachi filet and chicken combo. Our chef was good at the entertainment routine. I was surprised they still do the flipping of food (fried egg here) into peoples mouths. For the fee fried rice and the lo mein both are cooked pretty plain. They add egg to fried rice and nothing to noodles. These sides do get put on plates at the same time as the veggies so I guess you can mix in your own. The add a liberal scoop of minced garlic to the melted butter of everything they cook. So I thought that made everything tasty. We enjoyed everything in the hibachi meal. As you can see from my photo, there was plenty left to take home after eating a lot. I'd say the soup and salad were both just ok. Our server was friendly and very good checking on drink refills, getting our orders in quickly and getting our check. Our room had four grills and was pretty plain. I was surprised how many kids were there, I guess that's the place to take kids for an early dinner in the area. We both liked our food and experience and will return.

The food came out relatively fast, and tasted decent. But, those were some of the smallest rolls I've ever seen! I could've probably eaten eight of them! So, overall, the quality was decent, but the portion size was lacking. Not great, considering I paid $24 after tax and tip.

Ambience is a typical strip mall restaurant, but definitely on the better side. Service was friendly and despite a few minor snafus - which they handled with grace - service was good. I would rather have a service snafu handled with grace than a perfect service from an attitudinal jerk, wouldn't you? The food is where it shines. Check out the specials. We had a couple of specials and a couple of items off the menu. We split all of it and took home leftovers. The first special we got as an appetizer was Thai crab cakes. These were crab cakes not so fake breadcrumbed sugary nightmare. Real crab with almost no filler. They were small and fried (no greasy). Served with a flavorful red curry sauce that was delicious and complex. Topped with flash fried fresh basil. This was a perfect dish. We also had fresh spring rolls, pad prik with chicken, and crab fried rice. It was all delicious. The crab fried rice is also real crab. With two pepsi colas and a good tip, it was still under $80. Highly recommend. .

We came from out of town for lunch and saw decent reviews -- but BEWARE because good reviews are before COVID. We sat and the older lady immediately brought 4 waters to the table and walked away. We looked at the menus and she returned to take our order and warned us the prices are NOT accurate. I asked her by how much, and she said it's up by $3 because inflation (the entrees were already priced at $10.95 for chicken and $12.95 for shrimp)-- so add $3 to that. You'd assume the produce was fresh and decent portion sizes. What was ordered: 2 red curries (shrimp), and 1 shrimp fried rice. She walks to the kitchen and all we hear are the sounds of a microwave door being opened, buttons pressed, and ringing once food was ready. 5-10 mins later, all our meals were out. This was by far the nastiest Thai food ever. Portions sizes were 1 scoop of white rice and a small bowl for the curry. 4 pieces of shrimp with tail on it. Curry tasted like sugar water. Fried rice was cold in the middle and sweet in flavor. High salt content for sure. She comes around and asks if we needed more rice -- here I assumed she realized she gave VERY LITTLE amount of rice and came to her senses. The bill comes around totaled to $60+. She charged $4 for the extra white rice, $4 for the waters, and $31+ for the curries, $15+ for the fried rice. BEWARE AND TURN AWAY. I had her drop $4 from the bill because of how she never asked if we wanted waters, and never explained the rice was being charged as extra. She was extremely rude and pushy during this whole experience and was just honestly annoying to deal with. Do not come here. Oh and there was hair in the food.
