USE ANOTHER COMPANY This company was great before Primo water took over. Even then, we had a couple drivers that were really good with us and worked with the bad system that Primo put in. Now, our good drivers have been replaced with... well... I don't know who these guys are. You order Alhambra, and they try to bait and switch you by delivering Pure Life, which I can buy at the grocery store for half the price. I called customer service and waited 20 minutes on hold and was told they would replace what they delivered. The driver showed up and once again, dropped off Pure Life. Wasting a valuable work morning on the phone with them again for another 45 minutes. Supposedly they are going to refund this incorrect order and try to call the driver back out here to replace. We'll see if this happens. Either way... I'm stuck with Pure Life while I wanted the Alhambra brand that I wanted? Why are they pushing this crap brand on me? Beware: they are thieves and liars. We were charged over $300 for water and a dispenser that never arrived. After a month and multiple aggravating calls to their horrible customer service line, we decided to cancel our account and get a refund. Shocker: we are still waiting for our money. It's been three months now! Every time we call them to discuss, we have to start over, re-explain our situation, and wait forever on hold only for someone to tell us a new excuse or just flat-out lie to us. My wife and I have wasted hours on the phone and yet we're at the same place we were three months ago. Total nightmare. How is this not theft? How are their actions not criminal? The fact that so many others have had similar experiences makes me wonder if there are grounds for an investigation or a class action lawsuit. What are they doing with everyone's money? If you're considering opening an account, tread carefully! Do your homework and read the other reviews about them (here and elsewhere). Like others I've been with them 15+ years. It's expensive but was an easy way to go. BUT, recently they changed delivery times, and cut off messages, so I didn't get my empties out on time. Next delivery I made sure my order was 4, and I put out 9 empties. Driver delivered 9 which is 18 weeks worth (3 months!) I messaged through the website and was told "sorry for any inconvienience, if you don't have room, we can pick up, BUT CAN'T CREDIT YOU". Citing health code reasons they can't resell them. I think the least they could do is defer the billing 2 months. All their fault, All my problem. I just canceled my account as I used up my water, and not trusting them, took my stuff to them to turn in. I have to say as "No Customer Service" the parent corp is, Gus at the Salinas location is a true gem. I can't stress what a good experience I had. What a great guy. My review is actually for Alhambra water not the delivery, its for the company in general, not specific for Salinas however that was all that I could find for Alhambra water at this site. in any event we had an Alhambra water account since 2019 . I have a Costco membership so originally set up the account for a special price for Costco customers . About 2 years ago we noticed water bottles with primo on them being delivered. Evidently primo bought out Alhambra and I had originally set up the special price with no changes. However I called and found out that evidently starting with Alhambra , at sometime they had switched my prices over to the pricing which was twice as expensive for the same bottle of water. I hadn't checked the pricing because I knew that I originally had set up the special pricing which was supposed to continue... to make a longer story short...I contacted the business office twice and they refused to give me a refund for the overcharged bottles which amounted to quite a lot of money.. canceled their service and found a more reasonable and much better water company...in my opinion this company is not on the level and I have seen other complaints on this site about people being ripped off by this company . all I can say if you choose your water from Alhambra GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I wish I could give negative stars. This company has the worst customer service. They lie, they steal, they ignore emails and requests to fix incorrect charges. No one seems to know what's going on, everyone gives different excuses. Id almost find it comical if they didn't owe me for FOUR years of charging me for an extra water dispenser. The manager offered a refund of 6 months. Can you imagine stealing from a customer for four years and saying whooops you caught us, we will give you like 12% of that backI asked for his email and they refused to give it to me, but said he would call me. I asked if he would actually call because I have been told that I would be called back previously, and guess what, they don't call. She actually admitted that he probably wouldn't call me back because he made his decision. I have been a customer for almost a decade and this is how they act after making a mistake. It's appalling! I have used Alhambra for 20 years here in Santa Cruz. But the last few years have been a bit challenging. The delivery guy is very nice, but sometimes delivers the wrong amount of bottles. I have called customer service, but it seems that wires get crossed between the agent and delivery guy. Today 10 bottles were delivered, which is TWICE the amount supposed to be left!! I have no room in my garage for all of these extra bottles! I have tried to call, but I have not been able to get through. Spending way too much time on this today. Frustrating! TWO DAYS LATER: I feel compelled to write how impressed I now am with Alhambra's customer service! I have been contacted by a company representative and the extra bottles were picked up today. "GET WATER DELIVERED" they said "IT WILL BE FUN" they said NOT!!! I like most, got hooked up with Alhambra thru Costco. While usually suspicious in nature, they caught me in a very kumbaya moment , so I went for it cuz, Costco, right. If I don't like it I can just cancel, "no problem" they said. The first month or two was spent working out the rough spots; Arguing over cost, which were a bit higher then the Costco clan quoted and figuring out how much water I actually drink cuz those bottle were piling up fast. Clearly they didn't want me to get dehydrated. Several months pass and novelty of having water magically appear was starting to wane. Hauling 5 gallon bottle up and down steep basement steps was getting old. Ok, so maybe it's my knees that are getting old- don't judge. In any event I was getting over it. The following month they changed the bottle tops so that little pieces of foam easily fell into your water when you tried to open them, via the little hole hidden under the overly sticky sticker. It was time to say goodbye. A quick check of their online calendar showed I had time to cancel before the next delivery date; yes, there is a god. I called customer service and explained to them that while I liked their water, I was over trudging 5 gallon bottles up and down steep stairs, with a serpentining cat, did I mention the cat? Oh yeah, there's a cat, but that's a story for another day. I told them how the new foam hole cover thingy wasn't working for me, and that just for general purposes I would like to cancel the service. Sure no problem they said. "Ok should I just finish the bottles I have and call you when they are empty to be picked up?" Oh yes that would be just fine they said. Okey Dokey. Weeks later, 10 gallons of water show up, left in my driveway basking in the hot sun. Wtf? Oh well, no worries, it was just a mistake on their part. I will call Monday, I'm sure they will laugh at their oversight; they'll be reasonable and accommodating cuz Costco. Monday morning call to Alhambra...... Me: Hi, I canceled my water service almost a month ago and you guys accidently delivered more water. No hard feelings, if you could just come by and pick them up from my driveway that would be great. Also I should be done with the rest of my previous water so I'll leave those empty bottles out too, and we can finalize this cancelation. Alhambra: Oh, yeah you'll need to speak with a supervisor in regards to the additional water delivery. Me: Sure, ok. Alhambra Supervisor: Oh, yes we see that you did cancel service a month ago but we don't "really" cancel your service until we get all our water bottles back, so you are still in contract and are responsible for the cost of the 10 gallons delivered. Me: Oh hell no. I am not paying for water delivered after I cancelled service. How the hell am I to know that you don't "really" consider a service canceled when I cancel it, and how am I supposed to empty all my bottles if you keep delivering it. I am not paying for the 10 gallons. Alhambra Supervisor: Oh yes you will pay for the 10 gallons of water, it was a valid delivery. Me: No it's not a valid delivery and this is insane. You can't continue delivering a product and charging a customer after they cancel, you guys are scamming people. Alhambra Supervisor: You will be charged and if you don't pay it will go to collection. Me: Yeah, we'll see about that, you guys are crooks. Click. The next day I remember that they have deposits on my bottles and if I don't pay for the x-tra water they will probably just hold my deposit. Still pissed at their illogical and probably illegal business practices. I call back to see how and when I would get the bottle deposit refunded. The new girl on the phone was very nice and not like the rude supervisor I had spoken with the previous day. I told her what happened and she said she would send my account over for review and if approved, I should have the charges reversed within 5 days. On the 5th day I checked my bill and the water charges had been removed. What an ordeal. Costco needs to drop their contract with them. This was way too much drama for H20. read more

These guys are crap. Not only are they crap but they rip off their clients. I closed my account the proper way. Had my equipment turned in yet they are still trying to charge my $500. They have now put my account into collections over services I never received and equipment I turned in. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. THEY'RE CROOKS. Even after speaking with someone in the office they refused. So at this point I'll let it stay on my credit report for 7 years, they'll never get a penny from me. I am so upset with not my delivery drivers but the website which does not work and the district manager and regional manager who fired the delivery person who services Hollister/Santana ranch area and make the other delivery people in the outer areas try to service us! My bottles are sitting outside for 8 days because nobody will return my calls! I am so mad on Friday saw a delivery truck make a delivery on hey 25 coming in to town but never serviced my area 15 minutes away! I've been a client of Alhambra for a few years and when I moved, they kept skipping my delivery because my address was difficult to find, although NO ONE would contact me! I went without water for almost a month because I kept leaving notes for the driver to call me so I can give directions. They have charged me for deliveries that never happened. In 2017 my delivery date fell on an observed holiday so they changed my entire schedule. I had to schedule an extra delivery and even called the 800 number to confirm it was coming that day. They confirmed. By 5:30pm, it still wasnt there. I called the 800 number and they said it wasn't listed as no show or skipped. It never came. Again. What a joke. The driver finally called me and said that he couldn't deliver that day and he wasn't sure if he could squeeze me in the next day...but he can deliver 5 days later. He also SCOLDED me to never call the 800 number and to call him directly. When I called the 800 number to complain and CANCEL my account. They said that the driver probably wanted me to call him directly, because if I call the 800 number to complain that I got missed deliveries, they would contact his supervisor and he would get in trouble. The driver is MAD rude! And he said "I work on commission, so if I can't deliver your water, then that's that" I asked if there was another driver, and he said he was the only driver in our area. Save yourself time. Go to Quality Water/Culligan. They are less expensive, professional and way nicer. read more

I scheduled a delivery of a water cooler and bottles for a Friday for my residence. They require you to be home for the initial delivery (at least if you are renting a cooler). I was home waiting. All day. They didn't come. They don't give you a window either. They'll be there when they get there. FRIDAY - (The day of my scheduled delivery.) Me: "Hi, no delivery has come today." Them: "Oh, we rescheduled your delivery for Tuesday." Me: "Oh, nobody told me that." Them: "Well, they were supposed to call you." Me: "Well, nobody did." Them: "Sorry. They can come Tuesday." Me: "Fine. I will stay home all day on that day also then. Great." TUESDAY - (The day of my rescheduled delivery.) Me: "Hello, no delivery has been made yet." Them: "Oh yeah, there is a problem at the port so we don't have a water cooler for you. Didn't someone call you to let you know they won't be coming today? Me: "No." Them: "Well, they were supposed to call you." Me: "Well, nobody did." Them: "Sorry. We'll call you set up another delivery." SATURDAY - (The day of my rescheduled rescheduled delivery) Finally got my delivery on Saturday, the day of my rerescheduled delivery. Terrible service. Also, you will hold for 30 minutes every time you call. Every. Time. So that's THREE days I had to be home for their delivery because they simply failed to tell me of the changes. Thanks. After calling to fix a problem registering my account online, I was informed a different delivery day than I was initially told and that they will only come to my address once per month, rather than every two weeks as previously stated. read more

I am not putting this specific office location down, I am putting the company Alhambra down. I wanted to sign up for Crystal Springs home deliver. When I searched on the web for this company, I was given several results. I clicked on it and all logos stated Crystal Springs - it just didn't have a logo on it. That should have been my first clue. Me believing this was the real deal, clicked on submit to sign up. Unfortunately, it wasn't Crystal Springs but Alhambra. First this is false advertising and I think it is very unethical of Alhambra. Once I received the confirming email, I realized it was the wrong company so I called customer service at approximately 9:50 am. It is now 11:18 and guess what, I am still on hold after getting transferred to a new department and then had to call back a second time. I don't know who DS Services is but they are handling the Customer Service for this company. BAD BAD BAD customer service. I would not recommend Alhambra Water to anyone. Do not use them because if you need to call them, you will sit on hold just like me. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE! Our delivery person is never on schedule, no courtesy notifications of late delivery and most recently NO DELIVERY AT ALL! No delivery with no notification as to why. We log into our online account and it shows our next delivery will be in a month! So despite on-time payment of invoice, service is not being provided. Calling the 800 number gets you put on hold for two hours or more only to connect with a rude person who says "it's not my problem" when we tell them the issue. I have called, emailed and even posted on their Facebook page but comments are being deleted! Stay clear of this service!!! read more

Alhambra bills every 28 days so your due date will forever change month by month. I pay all my bills every month on time consistently. This is the only company who will expect you to pay on the 5th one month, and then the 3rd the next. I refuse to pay the double dues, and will continue to pay my monthly $32. Today I received a phone call threatening that they would suspend my account if I didn't pay it off. I called and the rep said that she NEVER gets this issue from other customers. Don't do it. It all start out easy until the billing comes into play. The don't give you credit for the bottles they pick up, they send more bottles than requested, they don't show up when they are supposed to, when you close your account they won't pick up your bottles in a timely fashion and charge you late fees. read more

I am so angry with this company I can hardly type. I made an appointment to cancel the service, which includes having someone pick up the water cooler. The appointment window was from 9-11 AM this morning. It is now 2 PM. I had to take the day off for this appointment so I'm losing money sitting here. I called the main 800 number for customer service when the driver was an hour late and was assured that someone would contact me "shortly." No one has called. I called again when the driver was 2 hours and 45 minutes late and asked for the name and phone number of the manager of my local distributor. They would not give me a phone number but they did give me an email address and assured me that the driver is on his way and the manager would call me. I am not at all surprised to see these other terrible reviews. I wish I'd read these reviews before dealing with them. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Their customer service is awful and the local Monterey County office doesn't get back to you. They leave deliveries outside, overnight for businesses. They have some real meat heads working the phones and the delivery trucks at this company. If you're actually lucky enough to get someone on the phone in under 30 minutes, they won't update your account/order and you'll have to call back and wait another 30 minutes to speak with the same incompetent staff who failed to update your order in the first place. The South Salinas delivery driver lingers in front of your house finishing cell phone calls and has the interpersonal skills of a rock. read more

On Saturday December 19, 2015 at around 4:00pm as an active customer of Alhambra water service I attempted to return my water service equipment, and in doing so, did not experience the best or even average customer service from your warehouse employee. Earlier this same day, I called to inquire where I could drop off my equipment because after being a long-standing customer of Alhambra I unfortunately had to end service effective Friday, December 18, 2015 as a result of re-locating to southern CA. On Friday, December 18, 2015 I had scheduled for a driver to come and pick up my equipment and the driver never showed. As a result, I was forced to drop off the equipment myself because my departure to southern CA was Sunday early AM. When speaking to a phone rep Saturday, I was advised to drop off my empty bottles and equipment at 314 Abbott St, Salinas, CA. When inquiring the hours of operation, I was advised that this particular location would be open from 8am - 5pm Saturday, December 19, 2015. I arrived at this location at exactly 4pm and was aggressively greeted by a female office staff and also a male staff. Both simultaneously exclaimed "I'm sorry, we're closed". I explained to them the aforementioned...."I'm moving to southern, CA tomorrow and I was told to drop this equipment off at this location due to the fact that the driver did not come to pick them up the day prior". The female office staff - Cynthia then sarcastically stated "well lucky for you the gate was open because if it wasn't what would you have done"? I explained to her that I was simply following the instruction of the phone rep I had spoken to earlier this day who advised how and when to drop off my equipment. My concern is such; the fact that I was given inaccurate information from another staff of the same company is not justification for an office staff that clearly seemed inconvenienced, to 'sass' me. Cynthia was rude in her approach and her stature was unwarranted and unacceptable. Up until this point, my experience with Alhambra water service was a good one. This one bad experience is easy to leave a lasting impression to never want to use your service again as well as recommend others not to use the service as a result of the experience I had. Please take this information and utilize as a tool to train staff on appropriate interaction with customers. Word of mouth (especially considering the era of social media we live in today) can either maintain or severe relations for a company and its intended continued success. read more

I don't know what's going on with this company. I don't get water on time. We have a small office and haven't had a delivery in weeks. We are out of water. We have three empty Bottles. I called their customer service line yesterday and they said they would deliver today. No one has shown up. This is not the first time I have reached out to the customer service and not gotten any results. I don't know if the drivers are getting the messages. I have told them several times not to deliver on a Friday afternoon. Yesterday they still had the deliver noted for Fridays!!!! Really!!!! What does it take. Late delivery service. Awful customer service. This company has no ethics, no common courtesy, no professionalism. Delivery/Sales Route Rep for the Santa Cruz CA area was unresponsive to multiple texts and calls Monday April 15 and Tuesday April 16 from the customer service rep which resulted in No Delivery on scheduled date: 4/16. Route manager from the Northern California branch was also unresponsive on 4/16. I was prompt in requesting service on 4/15 because the water dispenser was broken and bottles were empty prior to the delivery date. Customer service is in Florida so I made sure I called them at 7am PSTime to reach them as soon as they open. I was told to wait for my scheduled delivery date because immediate service is not guaranteed. Scheduled delivery date, Tuesday April 16th, came and nothing. The driver called me on Thursday April 18th after I cancelled service due to no delivery the prior Tuesday and did not accept responsibility for his poor work ethic and unresponsiveness. He blamed the route manager, being new to the route, etc. Lame excuses all he had to do was communicate by calling/texting back either Monday or Tuesday with an update as to why he was not on schedule. He came to pick up the equipment Thursday and still tried to kindly give me excuses and again blaming the route manager. I called Alhambra customer service again on Thursday after the equipment was retrieved, trying to reach the route manager to figure this out. And they were not able to transfer me to the route manager, only send him/her an email to reach me. It's been 3 days total of trying to reach the route manager and still have not spoken to him/her nor have any explanation about why and how all of this happened. Oh, and I still haven't recieved my refund for the April service. It's been 2 business days since cancelling. Horrible. Get a Brita people. read more

If there was a way to select a negative star I would do so. Without fail this is the WORST company I have ever done business with. They have delivered water after I have gotten confirmation for skipping a delivery, they have skipped deliveries when I needed water and have billed me incorrectly. I requested to skip a delivery last month, got the confirmation and two days after the original delivery date was scheduled I found 3 bottles on my porch. I called them and said please come pick these up I do not need them, I do not want to be billed for them. They failed to pick them up after verifying they would so I decided I was over it. Cancelling this service has sucked up WAY too much of my time as well. I have called them 8 times in the last month simply trying to get them to pick up the water bottles (that should not have been delivered in the first place) along with water cooler. I work full time, didn't feel good about leaving everything out front of my house but had to be at work. I set them out 3 separate times and they did not pick up even though I was told they would. So I lug all seven bottles and water dispenser back in the house after work and at 5:30 in the morning there is a knock on my door. They are there to pick up the bottles. WTF. Fine, get them out of my life please. So here it is a few weeks later, I get an invoice from them for the bottles I did not order, I go to verify this on line and sure enough. I have an outstanding bill. So I have just called them again and they have no confirmation that the cooler and bottles had been picked up. I will say the operators have been extremely sweet. But this delivery services BLOWS. People if you value your time and your serenity DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE EVER. read more

They deliver the day before so that you don't have the returnable empty bottles out and the next day thinking that since they have already delivered the day before the actual delivery date, they deliver again, and this time they deliver more then the quantity scheduled to be delivered. The CEO of Alhambra must be proud that their delivery person is on just delivers as they please, not to mention instead using the side walk like all professionals, they take the short cut across the lawn. read more

Worst customer service ever since we moved to Santa Cruz County. Would NEVER patronize them again. They refused to deliver to our home, and then refused to pick up the water cooler for several months but still billed me for water cooler rental. After I got that settled finally we get something from the collection service for 12 bottles at $6/each. We never had that many bottles, and we never received an invoice. Sounds like this company needs to take a serious look into their service department. Here is another review where my water delivery person is a 5 stars kind of guy, however my water cooler broke a week before the holidays and I have family flying in from all over the country. I called to get it replaced, they said they would be by Wednesday (48 hours after the call) to replace it, Perfect! Around 2pm I called because no one showed up and they have now told me it will be Monday, after the holidays and 8 days after the reported failure. This is unacceptable, and terrible service. So for now I just have to deal with the water tanks leaking all over my carpet. If this is not cleared up immediately I will be looking for another service, or go back to the hassle of doing it myself. Not worth the head aches! read more

Do not get service from them ever! Really bad customer service. I get their service through Costco without reading this company's review because I trust Costco. That was big mistake. If you are an old customer, expect to wait on the phone for over 40 min even on simple service... I got tired of dealing with them, so I cancel their service. Guess what? It has been nearly three month since we cancel the service. We haven't got our deposit money back for water bottle... The thing that upsets me is that it takes less than one minute to answer new customer, but they put old or existing customer on hole for more than 40 min...
