a row of water bottles lined up against a wall

If I could not put a star, that is what I would choose. ReadyRefresh started out really good. Arrived on schedule days, then they updated their website. Website, which had been user friendly, all of a sudden became difficult to navigate, and for me always signing me out when I was trying to arrange my schedule as the schedule they set was all over the board, even skipping two to three weeks, when I was on a weekly delivery schedule. I have not had a delivery for over three months. They claim some of my payments bounced, when in fact per my bank, the payment went through. Now fighting with them regarding that. These bottles have been sitting on my front porch for 5 weeks now. I have requested account to be closed for over a month. Spoke to customer service via phone and chat multiple times. Each time, I have requested bottle pickup. They claim they schedule it for two to three days out. Spoke to Jessie on the phone this morning. She claimed my account was not closed, and the first availability to pick up bottles was 6/23/22. When I requested to speak to a manager, she placed me on hold for 40 minutes and then hung up on me. I called back, got Jessie again, after placing me on hold for 16 minutes, she hung up on me. I called back, got Jessie again and after placing me on hold for 31 minutes, she hung up. If you are considering ReadyRefresh, do not do it if you would like water delivered in a timely manner.

    Bottles left behind.

Even then, we had a couple drivers that were really good with us and worked with the bad system that Primo put in. Now, our good drivers have been replaced with... well... I don't know who these guys are. You order Alhambra, and they try to bait and switch you by delivering Pure Life, which I can buy at the grocery store for half the price. I called customer service and waited 20 minutes on hold and was told they would replace what they delivered. The driver showed up and once again, dropped off Pure Life. Wasting a valuable work morning on the phone with them again for another 45 minutes. Supposedly they are going to refund this incorrect order and try to call the driver back out here to replace. We'll see if this happens. Either way... I'm stuck with Pure Life while I wanted the Alhambra brand that I wanted? Why are they pushing this crap brand on me? Alhambra used to be a really good company. It's sad to see them become part of such a shady company.

After a month and multiple aggravating calls to their horrible customer service line, we decided to cancel our account and get a refund. Shocker: we are still waiting for our money. It's been three months now! Every time we call them to discuss, we have to start over, re-explain our situation, and wait forever on hold only for someone to tell us a new excuse or just flat-out lie to us. My wife and I have wasted hours on the phone and yet we're at the same place we were three months ago. Total nightmare. How is this not theft? How are their actions not criminal? The fact that so many others have had similar experiences makes me wonder if there are grounds for an investigation or a class action lawsuit. What are they doing with everyone's money? If you're considering opening an account, tread carefully! Do your homework and read the other reviews about them (here and elsewhere). I wish we had paid attention to the warning signs and run the opposite direction.

Some months later, I started researching about BPA (Bisphenol A) leaching in water bottles. I ended up calling the company, Brio, that makes Pure Valley's water containers. They make 2 types. I found out that the ones I was sold were Polycarbonate and not BPA free. I was shocked that a water company that advertises the "purist" water would sell BPA water containers, when the push has been on in the bottle and can industry to replace with "BPA Free." Now, when I purchased the containers I wasn't informed that these were not BPA free. I contacted Pure Valley Water about this problem and was told they did have some containers that were BPA free (but not any in the rectangular ones with the spigot for home dispensing). When I asked why they don't tell their customers they are buying containers that are not BPA free I was told that "we expect out customers to know this." Because I felt that this was a shirking of responsibility for what they sell, I asked them to replace my water containers with the BPA free ones. They refused. Therefore, I'm posting this review to ask the following question for other Pure Valley Water customers and potential ones: "Does it make sense that a company that prides itself on "pure water" would lag behind the trend to provide BPA free water containers? My answer: It makes no sense at all and defeats the entire purpose of "pure" water. Keep in mind that BPA is an endocrine disrupter and it can also effect brain development in babies and children. "It is a known endocrine disruptor that can mimic hormones, raising concerns about potential health effects on the brain and behavior, particularly in children." So, I would urge other customers concerned about this to take this up with Pure Valley Water.

About a year ago my Rheem water softener died so I decided to up my game and purchase one from the…read moreClean Water Systems because I thought they would carry a better product and I would get better service if needed than from a big box store---NOPE! First-I paid almost 3 times as much for the system than if I would have purchased one from Home Depot or Lowes. Second-The installation I had done on this new product was done by a pro and the programming of the unit went well. Third-Soon after the system was installed it began doing erratic things like regenerating at different times than the one that was set. The regeneration time was cleared and reset multiple times only to have the softener revert. Fourth-I called and Emailed the customer service rep. and he tried to correct the regeneration problem by walking me through the steps but none of those fixes worked. He then contacted the manufacturer and they responded with a new fix but that did not work either. Fourth-The owners manual is THE WORST!!! It is just a cobbled selection of random instructions, almost like you walked into the middle of a conversation and then try to understand what is the gist of that conversation. Early on when I commented on this I received a call from someone at the Clean Water Store and she wanted to know and understand how they could improve the manual. I suggested she look at how Rheem or Whirlpool or GE does it. Their instruction/owners manuals whether printed or online are clear and concise. Doing so would probably eliminate many questions and Emails to the service reps. Fifth-Here I am a year later with an outstanding service ticket. A few days ago the rep. contacted me and said he was going to close out that open ticket. I replied the manufacturer never helped us correct the regeneration problem. He stated, they never got back to him. Sixth-My impression and experience shows that once you purchase from the Clean Water Store you are on your own. The service rep. tried his best but like me he was left in the lurch. The warranty on the product from the manufacturer is worthless, it means nothing. The owners of the Clean Water Store should take heed, they can not ignore ongoing product problems that affect their customers. If they continue to not serve their customers, their customers will find a company that does. STAY WAY! You would be better off throwing your hard earned money in the street.
