We had two VERY tall palm trees in our backyard, that had to be removed. We contacted Alex (after scanning the internet), and he had us text him photos of the trees. We received a quote the next day, and we scheduled the work for a few days later. He showed up at 7:30am, and didn't leave our house until almost 6pm. Not only did he remove the trees (including the stumps), but he cleaned our pool from the little debris that fell in (which we told him he didn't have to do). I had a couple palm trees that were way overdue for a trimming. Not being FT in the area, I was worried finding somebody who could do it while I'm here would be tough. Alex warned me that he was more expensive than others, and he is, which is why we did not hire him. However, he was very courteous, responsive and professional. Very disappointing. They did show up on time but lied that my Washingtonian Fan Palms were "hybrid" and raised the price to $50/tree. I've been getting my STANDARD fan palms done for $45 for 11 years. Hybrids have orange thorns. Mine have the standard green thorns. I reluctantly agreed, just to get it done. They just completed pruning 18 Cypress Trees before reseeding. Alex came a couple of days after I called. His price was reasonable and they are worth every penny I paid them. They cleaned up well. Alex's dad, Nelson, does the actual pruning. He is a perfectionist and proud of his work - a diminishing quality. He worked almost 9 hours straight in the early October heat wave. They pruned these Cypress trees and many Pittosporum bushes earlier this year. I wrote a Yelp review but under Alex Tree Service - the same as Alex Tree Care. Here is that review.
