Work and materials were all top notch at a price that was more than competitive. Yes, of the three bids I gathered their bid was the lowest. I often will disregard the lowest bid, but I can honestly say Emmanuel gave me the same confidence that the job would be done right as the much higher bids. I went with El's and looking at the work some 4 months after completion, I am happy to say that I am satisfied with everything and would recommend them to others.

From my very first phone conversation with Emmanuel, I knew I had found the right company for my yard renovation project. That instinct turned out to be absolutely correct. Every aspect of the project was completed with exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship. Emmanuel is, without question, one of the most professional, personable, collaborative, and talented contractors I have ever worked with. Throughout the entire project, he communicated with me daily to make sure every detail was being completed exactly as I envisioned and to my complete satisfaction. He also was on-site most days to be sure that everything was being done correctly. What really impressed me was even before I signed a contract, he was committed to helping me make informed decisions. He brought samples of artificial turf, ground cover, and paver options for me to review, making the design process easy and enjoyable. His proposal was thoroughly itemized, so I knew exactly what was included and exactly what the project would cost. Even better, the final invoice matched the agreed-upon price to the penny--no surprises, no hidden charges. The entire El's Landscaping crew was outstanding. They were friendly, professional, hardworking, and incredibly respectful of my property. At the end of each workday, they cleaned up thoroughly and left everything neat and orderly. That level of care and professionalism is rare and greatly appreciated. The finished project exceeded my expectations, and I couldn't be happier with the results. So once again, my advice is simple: Hire El's Landscaping. If you do, I am confident you'll be just as thrilled with the experience and the results as I am. FIVE STARS AREN'T ENOUGH! (The photos only show one part of the whole project, but you can see what an awesome job they did with the turf around my putting green and the new pathway and circular area for my bistro table and chairs.) Baudelio is a nice guy and was one of a few gardeners who responded to my inquiry. He came right…read moreover to assess my needs and price the work. We agreed on bi-weekly yard maintenance. He was twice as expensive as my previous gardener, but I went with him after meeting. For a few weeks, things were fine. He showed up as scheduled. I was hopeful. However, all along there were quality concerns. Drip systems were not balanced so plants either got too much or too little water. Lawn mowing was haphazard, leaving the corners untrimmed and unsightly. No lawn edging. Some plants died. Although there is a ficus hedge, he only mowed and blew off the sidewalks. No trimming or other services contemplated by our agreement. The yard actually deteriorated over this period of time and requires significant work to bring it back. Then, without communication, he simply stopped showing up and did not respond to texts for several weeks of scheduled visits. I hope he's ok, but I have had to move on to a more precise service and one that consistently adheres to schedule. I don't have time to manage this work or to engage in a game of Where's Waldo?

Currently working through the project: stump removal. Began project April 26, 2021. Very responsive to original request. Pleasure to meet the owner as he finished up the project. *Scheduling appointments and providing accurate arrival times or updates for service is not stellar. If you have to arrange work or family schedules to accommodate personal oversight or provide details... it could be a challenge. In the end, project was completed (5/4/21) and the owner and crew are very pleasant. Again, this particular project was interesting and required multiple visits. Communication was a bit slow and sometimes not accurate... having worked with contractors/sub-contractors within this Coachella valley, (our personal experience help shape this review.) If this project was super simple, I believe it would have gone just fine, but a couple of wrinkles really challenged the finishing date. Conclusion: If you're interested in schedules and very detailed communication... it's a work in progress, but they're very kind. I'd give them another opportunity on a project. I'd ask for more details and press for proactive communication (detailed project plan, contingencies for any side issues and ability to adjust with communications, times and dates.) Super nice owners and seem like high quality people. Definitely worth giving them a call or a project. I'll update this review with any future thoughts or projects.

We hired Desert Landscape Line to complete the landscape portion of our backyard renovation, after…read moreour pool was added. We paid them roughly $11,000 in total which was overall a fair price for the amount of work it required, but the quality of their work leaves much to be desired. I hired them based off of a strict timeline because of our pool installation, and when certain items could be completed (I.E. moving dirt needed to be done before Pebbletec was sprayed, we agreed on this a month before they started). On the day they were supposed to start, they told me they overcommitted, and would not be able to start for another 2 weeks. This happened again in the middle of the job, they took on another project and did not show up for a almost a week. While they did a great job in a few areas- they suffered in more. It is now about 6 months since they completed our backyard and the putting green they installed is having to be redone as it is bubbling. Isaac did not put down weed barrier fabric as I had asked him to (he firmly told me it was not needed and asked that I 'trust him'), our $4k worth of rockery is now receding into the ground below, and we're having to pay a new landscaper a fair amount of $ to fix this and add new fabric underneath. Our turf is patchy, it is coming up at the seams around the perimeter. One of the workers cut a giant hole in my hedge which still, after 6 months, has yet to completely fill in. My advice to Desert Landscape Line...Your intentions are good, you are trying to operate professionally (the drawings were appreciated, Emerith does strive to provide great service) but the finishing work is quite poor. If you can't complete a job as expected with quality work, speak up and be honest. I would've rather paid more for somebody who took the time to do it right.

On the other side, a foot away from a concrete inground pool. Passing through this tight spot was an underground irrigation system AND also electrical cables for landscape lighting. But Alex had a very unique tool - he says he's the only one in the Valley with it - that allows him to cut up the stump more carefully and deftly without nearby damage. He showed me the hole when he was done so that I could see the stump was GONE. Now, you'd never even know there was a tree there.
