4 stars: because this seems like a really nice group of people and they desire to create and personal touch to their business. Very glad to have met them. Currently working through the project: stump removal. Began project April 26, 2021. Very responsive to original request. Pleasure to meet the owner as he finished up the project. *Scheduling appointments and providing accurate arrival times or updates for service is not stellar. If you have to arrange work or family schedules to accommodate personal oversight or provide details... it could be a challenge. In the end, project was completed (5/4/21) and the owner and crew are very pleasant. Again, this particular project was interesting and required multiple visits. Communication was a bit slow and sometimes not accurate... having worked with contractors/sub-contractors within this Coachella valley, (our personal experience help shape this review.) If this project was super simple, I believe it would have gone just fine, but a couple of wrinkles really challenged the finishing date. Conclusion: If you're interested in schedules and very detailed communication... it's a work in progress, but they're very kind. I'd give them another opportunity on a project. I'd ask for more details and press for proactive communication (detailed project plan, contingencies for any side issues and ability to adjust with communications, times and dates.) Super nice owners and seem like high quality people. Definitely worth giving them a call or a project. I'll update this review with any future thoughts or projects. read more

Desert Landscape Line - Stump removal. - Landscaping Near Me

We hired Desert Landscape Line to complete the landscape portion of our backyard renovation, after our pool was added. We paid them roughly $11,000 in total which was overall a fair price for the amount of work it required, but the quality of their work leaves much to be desired. I hired them based off of a strict timeline because of our pool installation, and when certain items could be completed (I.E. moving dirt needed to be done before Pebbletec was sprayed, we agreed on this a month before they started). On the day they were supposed to start, they told me they overcommitted, and would not be able to start for another 2 weeks. This happened again in the middle of the job, they took on another project and did not show up for a almost a week. While they did a great job in a few areas- they suffered in more. It is now about 6 months since they completed our backyard and the putting green they installed is having to be redone as it is bubbling. Isaac did not put down weed barrier fabric as I had asked him to (he firmly told me it was not needed and asked that I 'trust him'), our $4k worth of rockery is now receding into the ground below, and we're having to pay a new landscaper a fair amount of $ to fix this and add new fabric underneath. Our turf is patchy, it is coming up at the seams around the perimeter. One of the workers cut a giant hole in my hedge which still, after 6 months, has yet to completely fill in. My advice to Desert Landscape Line...Your intentions are good, you are trying to operate professionally (the drawings were appreciated, Emerith does strive to provide great service) but the finishing work is quite poor. If you can't complete a job as expected with quality work, speak up and be honest. I would've rather paid more for somebody who took the time to do it right. read more

Desert Landscape Line was very responsive to our original request. They did great work and we are happy with the final outcome, however there were several areas where they fell short, including reliability, timeliness, responsiveness, and finalizing the project. The timeline for the project was grossly underestimated, and Desert Landscape Line were not very responsive once the job was in progress. At times it took several days for them to respond, even after multiple attempts to reach them via text and voicemail. I assume the owners accept more jobs than they have time for. After receiving the final payment, they agreed to return to clean up the oil mess that they left behind, and they did not return to clean it up. There were a few dates they said they would arrive but did not show, and times when they showed up unexpectedly. If you are trying to coordinate your schedule around theirs, it may be very complicated. Overall, my ratings are as follows, on a scale of 1 to 5 stars (5 being the highest rating): Friendliness: 5 Responsiveness at first: 5 Responsiveness after job started: 1-2 Timeline accuracy: 1 Reliability: 1 (they often did not show up when they said they would) Final Result: 4 (landscape looks great but they left oil stains. Said they would return to clean up, but did not show. Attempted to contact and no response. Will update this post if they do show up to clean the oil). I hope this company can make a few changes to improve their timelines and follow through! I will say some of the contractors they hired to do the work (including the brick wall, pavers, grass removal etc.) worked very hard and did an excellent job. This company will be great if they can give more accurate timelines and improve their responsiveness, communication, and follow through. read more

We've been wanting to do desert landscaping on our yard for awhile now especially with the state that our yard was in. We also had a fountain we did not use or really like it was an eyesore, but it came with the house. They were able to easily remove the fountain and cement it like we wanted as well as DG our yard and add some plants. They were fast and efficient, only took a week! Very friendly and would reccomend anyone to use them. Will definitely be using them in the future for any other projects. read more

We bought a house in LA Quinta and inherited the previous gardener. Within a few weeks, we noticed that the plants weren't getting water, the irrigation was broken, and nothing was flowering. Isaac and team have been a blessing to improving our situation! They fixed the irrigation, replaced honeysuckles which weren't well maintained, and added DG stone to complete the look. This company was a godsend! My father's house had gone uninhabited for over a year and the yard had fallen into disarray with weeds taller than a grown man. Had there not been any rain the job would have been done sooner. However, DLL kept in touch and updated us through the unexpected weather conditions.
