Evelyne is always fabulous, care-full and extremely gentle. She keeps her equipment super-clean and I cannot recommend her enough.

I have plucking my chin hairs (I do not recommend this) for some time now. I finally decided to do the facial hair removal thing correctly, with some slight hesitation of course, with electrolosysis. I have seen other electrologists but by far, Evelyne has been by the most knowledgeable, patient, and painless eletrologist I have seen. I also entrusted her with the skincare of my elderly mom who is five times more sensitive to pain than I am. Evelyne has a kind demeanor and enjoys educating her customers on skincare. I feel comfortable asking her questions about my skin beyond the hair growth. Lastly, her prices are beyond fair and competitive given what you are getting in quality. read more

I decided to try electrolysis for the first time ever with Evelyne on a whim, right as I was leaving town after visiting relatives in the area. A few days before, however, I called her office to see what her hours were. What I really appreciate about the way this office is run is that we were in the middle of a snow storm, and Eveylne had left up-to-date hours on her voicemail so I knew when she would be available. This is a sign of taking one's business and customers very seriously and I appreciate that element of responsibility. She was very prompt at getting back to me about an available appointment and very accommodating: I got lost, came late, and could only do half of the scheduled treatment. The office was clean, just one room with a tiny waiting room outside. She showed me clean, sterilized needles and explained to me the process as best she could during our rushed session. I give the service three stars because the next day, in New York, I tried a different electrolysis office to finish the treatment and I hardly felt the needle at all whereas at Alexandre Electrology the machine made more noise and felt more of a "kick back," if you can call it that, as the electricity zaps the follicle. I also had bruising starting as little as an hour after the treatment, which is still healing after over a week. I called Evelyne about this and she got back to me, but said it had never happened during a session before which was not so reassuring to hear. During the treatment with Evelyne, I was also made to feel a little concerned about my health when she asked if I had some sort of thyroid dysfunction to be having this kind of unwanted hair. Conversely, at the office I went to in New York, they told me that I really didn't have very much hair at all and that there was no indication of anything out of the ordinary. Sorry, was that TMI? I guess if you are reading this you're not squeamish about unwanted hair... The price, however, is very competitive ($25 for 15 minutes). Most places anywhere else charge much more. I have been going to Alexandre Electrology for a long time. However, it was perhaps every other month or as needed in the last four or five years. I had seen many other electrologist before but none was as effective. Evelyn knows what she is doing and she always uses the right current to treat and also not do any damage to your skin. She is very knowledgeable and always takes her time to explain it to you thoroughly. I could recommend her to anyone who is looking for an experienced Electrologist and would like to see permanent solution. read more

I have been going to Evelyne for over 8 months, and I couldn't be happier. Evelyne is very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Her office is clean, her hours are flexible, and her rate is very competitive. Prior to going to Evelyne, I was going to another electrologist in a different part of the country. When I compare Evelyne to my former service provider, I'm much happier with Evelyne. She knew which treatment to offer me, and it has been very effective. I'm seeing very little regrowth, and I know with more time, I'll be hair-free. Also, I used to experience scabbing and red marks that lasted for days with my former treatments, but with Evelyne, I see minimal redness and within a few hours, none at all!! Perhaps what I appreciate most, though, is Evelyne's personality. She immediately put me at ease with our first conversation, because she asked the right questions with a kind and caring manner. She always returns calls promptly, and easily adjusts to schedule conflicts. My visits are always pleasant, and we often have nice conversations.
