My wife and I have had our eyes on this place for a while. We decided to stop by today and try it out. I had the "gigante" torta cubana. It was huge! It looked more like a double torta. Gigante is definitely the right word. It was great except for the fact that the steak was hard to chew. It was loaded with ingredients. They are definitely not stingy. We also had the carne asada fries which were just ok. The staff is friendly and fast. I would definitely like to try other items on the menu as they sound delicious. I had the Baja burrito...tacos de chorizo plate...and asado fries.... soooooo.... the Baja burrito was massive just what I needed after a hard 10hr shift...the flavor was good not mind blowing but good... the carne asado fries were loaded with cheese and meat every bite had cheese meat or some sort of topping.. bomb my girls liked them... now I seen that they advertise home made chorizo... those chorizo tacos full of flavor ...super dank... the chorizo killed it out of the three plates... the rice and beans it came with need a lil work... I want to give a shout out to Omar thanks for the hospitality... This is a pretty new spot. And I like it. They got tacos, burritos, tortas, and other stuff. But this place is unique/different... The interior has a rock n roll motif going on. The food is very cheaply priced. The portions are big. Family owned and run. Good, humble, courteous people. And overall, the food is pretty damn good/tasty. They have/offer a "California burrito", but they call it a "rock n roll burrito" there, which is basically a carne asada burrito, but with french fires in it, instead of rice and beans. Its like 6 bucks. Their kind of hard to find in L.A., its more of a San Diego thing, but this is one of the few spots in L.A. that has them. But their crowning jewel, is a the "torta cubana". Its huge! It has more kinds of meat and things inside of it, than I care to list. Yes, its that many! Its freakin huge!!!! Its like 7 bucks, but one will easily feed 2 people. And its delicious! Theyre tacos and regular burritos are good too. The burritos are only 3.25 during happy hour, but like 4.50 the rest of the day. Fist off Yelp there needs to be a - star or 0 stars for service like the one this place provides. My review is solely based on their catering services, I requested their catering services for my sons birthday 3 weeks in advance, I informed the owner Alejandro of the date and location of the event and he gave me a quote of $295 for 100 people that included: tacos with my choice of 4 meats 24 hot dogs, quesadillas and an agua fresca. They were contracted for 3 hours of service.I thought it was a great deal and when had to text them to confirm their services I should've seen that as a big huge red flag, but when they text me back confirming i thought it was me just me over reacting with all the planning. I should have looked for another vendor then but the stellar reviews of the restaurant I read here made me second guess myself and I decided to give them a try. If I'm not mistaken Mr. Alejandro's son Alexander is the one that deals with finances so he contacted me on Friday A DAY BEFORE MY EVENT to tell me my new fee was $325 because I was too far from them and that was gas money..... shouldn't they have considered that when I talked to the OWNER? well needless to say I tried to negotiate and ended up agreeing to $320 since I figured it was too late to get another taquero at this point. Saturday came and we had agreed for them to arrive at 230 pm to give them enough time to prepare and serve my guests. At 315 PM the guys that were going to service my party call me to notify me they are lost. my husband redirects them noting the location they give him is only about a mile away from our house. Let me state that the owner and son never mentioned they had other colleagues or workers that were going to provide my service.Moving on, 330 PM came and went and they weren't there, I called the guys that called me earlier and got no answer, so I then called Mr. Alejandro to ask if he could give me any info. He was surprised they hadn't arrived, since he said they left the restaurant at 130 PM. According to Mapquest they are 28.10 Mi. away from us yet 2 hours later they hadn't arrived. At this point I was really upset I had a house full of guests and no food. I called Mr. Alejandro again however, this time his son answered and very rudely SCOLDED me saying that his drivers can't pick up the phone to give me an ETA because they don't want to get a ticket, and that I should understand they aren't around the corner and should be realistic about the time frame I Expect!!!! ARE U KIDDING ME??? you said you were going to be there at 230 you need to plan ahead!! take into consideration traffic on a 3 day holiday weekend... he hung up telling me he would try to make contact with his employees and have them call me. Needless to say they didn't call, my husband call Mr. Alejandro as 4:00 approached and they guys arrived about 15 minutes later. They sent one guy and the driver quickly hands me the bill. As the other guy sets up his pre-cooked meats and refuses to serve my guests until I pay the bill. I don't know about anyone else but I've never had to pay a Taquero before his services are rendered... he Seemed annoyed when I refused and told him I was going to contact the owner , he left telling me to deal with the owner that he was just the driver. I called and specifically asked to talk to Mr. Alejandro his son refused and told me he could help me after much discussion of what i thought was already customer service he gave me a $10 discount for the "inconvenience". Stating that they were still serving all my guests and that they were staying the agreed 3 hours. By the way he couldn't end it without letting me know what a deal i was getting that this is normally a $400 package and what not. I agree it was the cheapest around NOW I KNOW WHY! anyways, when I come back out to talk to the employees there was one guy left to serve my 100 guests and he sure helped himself to snacking on my food during "down time". and I guess he thought the food was pretty delish as he licked his gloved fingers before serving my guests with the same gloves!!! I wasn't made aware of this until later that night when my guest told me what they thought of the service. The only edible meat was the chorizo, The carne asada looked more like meat for a soup that was boiled not grilled like asada should be. But after all that happened what did i expect Quality food??? hahahaha who was I kidding.. We've had our share of parties and have dealt with many caterers throughout the years but these people deserve a big fat 0. Their customer service is beyond despicable. You cannot Charge for services you haven't yet provided, and let alone have that attitude of you are entitled to ....you cannot demand the customer to understand your lack of professionalism and communication and hold your head up high about the services you provide when they are below mediocre, you are a business and customers are what keeps your business alive. Don't recommend!! waste of your $$!! read more

The food is not that great it's ultimately greasy and leaves you with a sick feeling afterwards. The place is super dirty things that should be clean are dirty there seems to be a dirty look to the place. They had packets of sodas on the floor casually making their customers to go around it instead of getting their lazy asses up and put it somewhere like idk maybe the back! They kitchen is probably the most dirty disorganized I've ever seen. The lady who took my order was a bitch she had this mean mug face on her. And the cooks are some sweaty fucking pigs in the back. Do yourself and compton a favor and don't support these lazy fucked business. Their restaurant has a B rating in inspection which is inexcusable especially it being a place of food. Don't come here I wish I didn't waste my time and money on this shit place. If you're in the mood of these sorts of food I recommend going to Tams they are way more clean about it and more delicious. read more

Bomb!! I got a torta gigante of milanesa and a La Bamba agua Fresca. First off you are received with warm chips and a salsa. Second, la torta gigante was the best one I've tried so far! The cheese was melted to perfection and everything in it was just perfect!! They don't call it gigante for nothing! I was able to only eat half! The Agua La Bamba was so refreshing and good!!! Most times that I purchase food from here it's okay. Not the best but not the worse. Today when I went in the cook could not understand my order. In the middle of taking my sisters order he went to the restroom . He didn't excuse him self or anything. He returned from restroom and. Opened the kitchen door moved some vegetables with his dirty hands and then he started to wash his hands. After he just urinated or defecaded. The owner was polite. We ordered two combos. Large. They didn't have any large cups in stock, the rice in my sisters burrito was very undercooked and we never received our fries. The server was polite but that was the only positive thing about my visit here. I will not be returning to this buisiness. If It was possible to give this a zero star rating I would. read more
