It took him a while to get to me from where he was, but officially he was done working at 5:00 and could've just told me he'd come tomorrow. Even though I was way out of his way, he came to my aid and fixed my hinge, and I was able to stay (barely) within my price range. I tried my landlady and my super, and neither were of any help. It's good to have a backup you can hire.

Kellam is amazing! He helped me out by taking on my job last minute (movers fell through, and I…read moreneeded shelving put up in order to unpack and get settled in, along with a bunch of small tasks like putting up pictures on the wall and rearranging furniture). Kellam was very courteous from first contact (responded in just a few hours from Yelp messaging), and then we switched to text messaging to confirm the job and communicate easily. He gave me a realistic set of expectations, including time and pricing (by hour for first 2 hours/minimum of 2 hrs, then by minute after that). Very reassuring right off the bat, with no surprises. Super professional, showed up on time, wearing a full suit and a mask (safety for COVID!), with all tools prepared for the tasks. Kellam was very efficient and didn't waste a minute of time - He confirmed each task with me, measured everything carefully, and made sure to keep each area clean as he worked. His assistant Jason helped to speed things along (helped with measurements and also put up some things independently), and was also super professional. Again this was all done after a really hectic move, so it was really amazing given that Kellam and Jason were navigating around 20 boxes squeezed into a studio apartment, to put up things on 10 foot walls). My job took 3.91 hours (going off our time stamps, and his final invoice since he clocks in and out via text) - and he earned every minute of it. He sent an invoice via PayPal to my email so it was easy to handle payment with my credit card. Loved how easy they made the whole process, from start to finish. I would absolutely not hesitate to hire him again or recommend him to others! Very impressed by his hard work. If you're looking for a magic-wielding 007 jack of all trades in NYC, and Kellam is available, hire him.

He explained every step of the process as he went forward and made me feel very comfortable that he knew what he was doing. The job was completed exactly as I hoped, and Kellam even took the time to dispose of the shelf and thoroughly clean the area he worked in. I would highly recommend Kellam as he is knowledgeable, thorough, and very professional.

I did some online research, asked some Edison Facebook groups, etc and heard Joe was a great home improvement professional with fair pricing. I connected easily with Joe who works well through phone or text. This was nice because I have had issues with responsiveness with other contractors and home improvement and lawn companies. Many companies would not pick up and if I left a message either not call back or call back weeks later. Anyway, Joe came to review all the items wanted help with such as a TV mount, a ceiling fan install, garbage disposal, driveway light install, etc and was very kind and patient with explaining everything we had to know. He then later emailed us a very detailed PDF estimate with all the information we could need on making decisions to move forward with the projects. This was great! A couple weeks later we reconnected with Joe and we scheduled him to come do the projects. My husband did a work from home while Joe worked away (since Joe owns this small business his hours are only on weekdays and not weekends). Joe did a wonderful job on all the projects he worked on and we are in absolute awe of our new home improvement projects. He also sets up a neat workspace and ensures he cleans up after all his work. It's been a couple months since and everything has been looking great and working great. Very happy to have found Joe and his craftsmanship. Would highly recommend him to anyone looking for home improvement help!
