Wow and if you need a basket it's a quarter and make sure and bring your own bags too. This is a small store that's super busy . The prices are way worth the trip . Going to the store these days is just crazy . Feeding little kids that's a struggle . As an outsider we have seen lots of families . Aldi has designed this store to be fast, efficient and simple . The affordability of the products are first rate . The store is divided and organized by category. Now the parking lot is small you might have to walk a little further for that special deal . Check this out, they include produce and freezer items for purchase in store . We did the whole experience purchasing spinach and blueberries. Im writing and update . After shopping at aldi for 2 years now I have learned what is good at aldi and what is bad . Im still having not much luck in the produce dept. It either doesnt ripen or goes bad real quick . You gotta keep the bread refrigerated it gets spots if you leave in room temp for more than four or five days . Dairy is good and good prices. Meats are good and ok prices . Canned good are good and great prices i get a lot of tuna ,potted meats soups all pantry items are good prices. read more

My 2nd time coming here & i gotta say i really love it. Dont have these "back home" but im growing to love this store. They have great prices, friendly staff, and amazing customers as well to chat with in the store. Everyone is so friendly and i always look forward to shopping here. They have a pretty good variety & even some specialty items you wouldnt expect to find. Right now i love looking at all their seasonal items and desserts. Especially i love looking at their snack trays.. im guilty for snacking at night so anything healthy or even sometimes pastries are a good find here. I got some amazing pumpkin bread in a couple different varieties.. & for my specialty items i got some sushi, a margheritta pizza, & some salmon for later in the week. I wish I knew why all Aldi Massachusetts locations are always lesser than the other New England states. Must be a different person in charge of stocking as they never have the Aldi finds and a lot of Aldi staple freezer items can't be found. This is probably my least favorite location. The store is very dirty and unkempt. Aisles look like they were picked apart and no one bothers to tidy up. It's harder to find items that are in the flyer. It's always busy and crowded too so browsing is hard. Prices are still great but even an Aldi super fan like me will not always stop when in the area because it just isn't as good as other ones (aside from the Medford location which is the worst). read more

This is my favorite local grocery store! The prices are so much better than other grocery chains, and they have a good selection of gluten-free food. There is also a fair amount of organic items. The cashiers do a great job moving the line through quickly. I'm in Aldi's at least once a week. I received the flyer for Sunday July 12. The flyer stated the Split chicken breast was .99c per lb. 5.5lb average weight on Wednesday the 15th. I arrived at the store at 9 am went to the meat section and found a freezer full of the chicken breast only it was marked 1.89 per lb. I asked someone that worked there and she said it would probably be taken off at the end of the receipt. When I checked out the price of the chicken wasn't deducted. I asked the clerk and he said it was probably all gone my response was the sale just started how could it be all gone my response could you please ask someone, he asked in the office they said the order didn't come in. What was the difference in the chicken breast? My opinion the freezer full of chicken breast should have been the sale item. I usually really like shopping at Aldi, but today there was a very rude cashier that rang me up. I didn't see her name but she had red dyed hair. I had my groceries in a box on the register and was ready to put them in a bag in the cart at the end of the conveyor belt after she rang them up. In a very irritated way she asked "next time can you take your things out of the box?" And started shaking her head as if it was the most inconvenient thing she encountered all day. She then asked "is it your first time here?" To which I replied "no". I left feeling as if I had done something terribly wrong when in reality I was just trying to be helpful. Last time I had gone shopping a cashier in a hurry has rang up the customer behind me's items due to a lack of a stopper. Aware of this I tried to ask for a stopper as the cashier was checking items out. As they were checked out the guy behind me's stuff was nearly mixing while I was adding more on. The cashier rudely tried very hard to shut down my request and looked at me like I was crazy. It was very stressful and increasing my anxiety. She had a very irritable demeanor and it was clear had no desire to practice customer service. It makes me afraid to go back knowing that not even the simplest and most reasonable concerns will be addressed. To make matters worse she didn't even give a receipt and rushed me out. I give three stars though because even though customer service is attrotious, the prices are unbeatable. read more

You can save a lot of money shopping at Aldi. Almost everything we've tried has been of equal quality to what you'd find at a pricier market. Ice cream has been an exception, though--just so-so. Staff seem to be really nice. Don't forget to bring your own bags or boxes as well as a quarter to unlock a shopping cart. read more

In general, I do cherish having an all these close by. I wish that there was one closer to my home in Shrewsbury. I originally went to my first Aldi's grocery store chain in Virginia, and to be honest shopping at this location was a little disappointing in comparison. The produce section is quite small and the quality is not that great despite the price. For all other things - canned foods, dairy, breads and pastries, snacks, I would definitely recommend and continue shopping here . However, I will likely get my produce elsewhere read more

They do accept credit/debit cards. Buy your own bags, and it's 25 cents to use a shopping cart (keeps costs down). Very cheap (but quality of most food is rather good for the price.) I have been shopping at Aldi's in Worcester since 2016. I am 63 and retired. I tell all my friends to shop there. I brought my son to Aldi's for the first time on December 6th, 4:pm. I was happy to see the ONE Handicapped Cart available for use, as my son, age 43, has Multiple Sclerosis since 2005 and he tires very easily. My son loves Aldi's now also and we will continue to shop there even though we had an extremely upsetting experience at Aldi's this time, although in the past, all experiences were very positive. I am writing to tell you what happened to my son and I. We must have spent nearly two hours in the store as my son was unfamiliar with the offerings. My son got to the Handicapped Cart but it was somewhat awkward getting in the entrance door to access it. Someone actually tied a shopping cart to the railing near the closest register aisle so that getting the handicapped cart in the shopping aisles was a bit difficult. Why? I did not get my own shopping cart as I had already shopped and was just there to assist my son, but I did end up buying quite a few items myself. Rather than leave my son unattended, to go get my own cart, I just added my items to his handicapped cart, so it was overflowing. When we got to the register, we planned to separate our items there, I was paying with a Debit Card and my son was using Food Stamps and a credit card. As we started to load the conveyor belt at the register, we were distracted by the extremely impatient cashier. Her name is Shirley. My son apologized that our items were not sorted and asked "Is it OK"? Shirley answered in a really sarcastic voice, "Well, I am not going to stop ringing because your stuff is not sorted". So we loaded the belt and the cashier made a fuss about the carts. She totaled my items, first and put them in her cashier's cart. She said, "when you are done can you bring back the cart", I responded, "Yes". So my son was next and she was totaling his items and had no place to put them and Shirley told him she needed a cart. My son did not realize she meant to pull his cart up, and asked me to bring my cart back. I pulled my cart back, but Shirley seemed angry with us, but put my son's items in my shopping cart in an annoyed impatient manner. My son tried to explain that he did not realize which cart she meant and that he could not make that turn, from the register aisle to the end of the aisle, with the handicapped cart anyway. I told my son not to worry to just forget it. Then Shirley said, "I can call my manager if you want?", in a mean and threatening manner. My son said "What did you say?" And Shirley called the manager Kathy and said, "Can you take this customer for me?" Kathy stepped in and quickly cashed us out. Kathy did ask me, what the problem was, but I told her I could not talk about it then because my son was upset and tired. We loaded up the car, and went home. My son said he felt discriminated against either for being handicapped, like he was stupid, or because he was useless because he was using food stamps. I was so angry to see my son treated so poorly when I had encouraged him to try Aldi's. In all this upset, an error was made, Kathy told my son that he only had $24.00 on his food stamp card. My son could not see the payment screen from the handicapped cart very well, so he said, No I have over $100 on the card, but Kathy did not check, just repeated that he had no food stamps left, so he paid with his credit card. Money that he wanted to use for Christmas. So when we got home, the receipt did indeed say he had an $86.00 food stamp balance, with $24 dollars used. So I went back to the store with my son's receipt and his Food Stamp card and his credit card. I asked Kathy to correct the mistake, so that cash could be put back on the credit card. Kathy said she had to re-ring all the items to refund and re-bill. Short of going back home and retrieving all the items, we walked to store with the receipt and collected all the items so this could be done. Kathy did a great job at a complicated return/re-bill. Kathy did not ask me again, as to what happened with Shirley. Shirley is not Aldi material. All Aldi employees have always been very friendly and helpful, NOT Shirley. I wanted to tell Shirley, "Don't you ever again talk to my son disrespectfully!" I held my tongue. Instead I apologized to the customers waiting in line, while Shirley made the Impatient, Uncomfortable Scene. Shirley's body language was also threatening. We are NOT afraid of Shirley. I did ask Kathy her name and thanked her, and asked for the other cashier's name, and told Kathy that I would be writing a complaint letter about Shirley. Honestly, this is my favorite place to pick up groceries. Its a decent size, which i prefer, large enough for a diverse selection of products but not so you're spending time wandering aimlessly looking for things. Almost every single time we come here, we can easily shop for the week and spend far less then we would in any other store. Their brands are definitely equivalent to any brand names of food carried in other stores. They have plenty of healthy options here and they have some fantastic deals. Also, my boyfriend is gluten intolerant, so its nice that they have many gluten free options available for pasta and such. Their dairy section is a decent size and they usually have some sort of deal going on with meat and/or produce. It is set up similar to a Spag's where many of the items are still in the boxes, stacked, but the store has always been neat when i have stopped in. You do need to bring your own bags for the groceries, but they sometimes provide boxes up front to carry them out. The only thing keeping them from their fifth star is that i have to sometimes run to another store if I am looking for a specific food item. If i need a bunch of basics for the week, I'd rather come here and spend less. Definitely worth it. read more

My German wife introduced me to Aldi when we were in Germany and when we saw that Aldi was opening a store here in Worcester we had to visit. Unfortunately we live a distance away so it's not our regular grocery store but visit every once in a while to get our fill of cheap German/Austrian Chocolate (much better than Hershey's, Nestle's, etc). For anyone that remembers Spags, Aldi is what it would be like if Spag's had run a grocery store. Product displayed in the boxes they came in. No Credit Cards, just cash/debit. No plastic bags (though you can purchase reusable ones in the store). Lines can sometimes be a bit long but they usually move pretty quickly. I've always found the staff to be friendly. One can definitely save money on many items at Aldi compared to the other larger grocery chains in the area. read more

As far as discount grocerie stores Aldi is alright. They carry fairly generic products none really that are big names. They do carry some brands like Pop-Tarts but I wouldn't go there for steaks or brand cereal. The staff, depending on who's working, is quite nice considering the people who shop here. Prices are fairly good for some products like milk and strawberries but they do not have a wide verity of products. If you're looking for something specific and they don't have it go somewhere else. I'd go back for the cheap milk and non-brand name food stuffs. Beware though, thoroughly check the fruit as you may never know the condition of them until its too late. read more

It is what it is. A no frills grocery store to get food at cheap prices. It has a decent variety but it is mostly their own food brands they offer like millville and such. It is way cleaner than other discount or bring your bag grocery stores that I've been to and the staff appears to be friendlier too. I love this store. Their produce section is extremely inexpensive and has just enough variety for me...I don't need avocados or other exotic stuff. They offer German-style foods which I love, not to mention Marzipan candy!! The occasional special items they have are very high quality--salad spinners, bathroom scale, exercise equipment, but like Sam's or BJ's they may not have things again, so stock up when they do have it. Staff are extremely nice. It's no frills for sure, but for what I need it's perfect. Pineapples for 99 cents? Awesome. If I can't find it there, THEN I got to the high-priced store (Stop n Shop) across the street! Thank you for bringing Aldi's to my neighborhood. P.S. In Spain in 1989 I visited a grocery store where you paid for and returned your own carts. I love it that Aldi's has established that practice here--saves the salary of a person to do that and makes sure they get their carts back. Other grocery stores should do the same. Went here for the first time and would come back again for a few things. The store is clean and the manager even asked if she could help me find anything. It's a pretty big Aldi compared to others I have been to, and the items available seem to be greater as well. Pros: Neat shelves and good selection of products Very low prices Household items for low prices too Cons: Only one line usually open - wait can be long unless you're there before noon on a weekday The frozen section was lacking in variety - perhaps they didn't get anything that day? You have to pack your own groceries. I don't really see this as a negative, as it saves plastic, but it's not for everyone. I would recommend this store to stock up basics like milk, cheese, boxes items, etc. but I would skip the produce section as most of the items are actually available cheaper elsewhere. read more

Being from Germany and having grown up with the real Aldi in town, I simply became emotional when I saw I have one 40 minutes from where I'd just moved to. I love everything about this store, on an emotional level when I put that quarter in the cart like I did when I was 6 years old and my mom would let me do it back home all the way to their weekly specials and German weeks with all the products I know from home. Some of their candy seriously makes me want to cry of happiness from time to time because all my family still lives in Germany and I miss it quite a bit sometimes ... but the one star missing, that I unfortunately can not give ... despite my love for the store, is because of their produce lacking in freshness. Too many times did my food go bad a day or two after. One time I'd gone through two boxes of raspberries and I could not find one single one out of the approximately 35 packages, that did NOT come with mold on them. Very sad. The price is low, so I guess they need to compromise somewhere to compete in this tough American grocery market ... but I simply wish that after driving 40 minutes, I could simply get all my needs in one shopping trip. We eat quite a lot of fruit and veggies, so that's a bummer. Oh and the fact they don't have parchment paper. Haha. But their laundry detergents etc. are seriously ALL I use these days, and no other products anymore. Love that they have a Dreft knock off for baby clothes, for a fraction of the cost. And it smells heavenly. Amazing non-brands, and I can't wait to make another trip soon. :) now you just need to expand a lot more, so I can have an aldi in the countryside of Worcester county! read more

On a limited budget? Aldi is the place to save. You won't find 500 brands of salda dressing. Instead you'll find maybe 5. I have been a customer of Aldi for years and have always loved shopping here because of the unique items they carry. I had a terrible experience this morning with a rude cashier. We were in line and there was no cashier to check us out. After waiting for a while I went to knock on the office door. One cashier came out and said the notice said they will be with us right away and she was upset although there were quite a number of customers waiting. She didn't have the decency to apologize for keeping us waiting. I have decided to only go there if there are male cashiers available. This is an excellent grocery store, but here are a few tips to maximize your success as an Aldi's shopper: READ the weekly flyer, and if there is something that you want, get there early in the week; specials sometimes run out. SHOP early in the day and early in the week; produce can become scarce and wilted later in the day. MEAT specials start on Wednesdays, and these can be good deals, but they can also run out, so shop on Wednesday if you are a carnivore! Seasonal treats are excellent, household items are very good quality (I have a large, bright red LeCreuset knock-off that is my favorite soup pot), and special items are fun to try. I love shopping at Aldi. If you want name brands, don't bother, but you won't be disappointed with the store brands they have. The staff is friendly and they always ask if you've found everything ok. Be honest and they will help you find something. My favorite Aldi brand is Fit & Active. They have recently just started accepting credit cards but right now their chip readers are not working.
