Aldi is amazing period They have no red dye in their personally advised brand and I feel confident feeding my kids their products Even the junk food options (their brand) like Cheetos or Doritos Or even the cereals I love checking the special buys and finding new goodies every week This location has some of the nicest staff and is kept very clean If you get a chance stop in grab your necessities at below market price and even some pleasantries like wine at even more mind blowing value read more

This Aldi is actually one of the worst customer experiences you can get. I frequent Aldi's as an Instacart shopper, and I have never received anything but horrible, rude service here when checking out. Customers seem like a nuisance to these employees. read more

Love this location. They seem to have more varieties of plants and bulbs- imagine bulbs at $2. Floribunda roses for $8!

This Aldi is located in the Willis Wayside Shops off of Virginia Beach Blvd near the corner with Thalia Rd. There is a sign from Virginia Beach Blvd., but the building itself may be a bit harder to see, especially if heading west on the boulevard. This store is pretty much right behind the shopping center with Tijuana Flats, FedEx, etc. There is ample parking available. I have been to this Aldi several times. I usually end up coming in here after visiting Tijuana Flats or something else next to the place when up in that part of the city. One thing to note right off hand is that if you want a cart, make sure to have a quarter with you. You have to insert it into a cart in order to use it. You will get it back when you return the cart after your trip is completed. You will also need to bring your own bags or buy some from them. Once you come in the first door, the entrance is to the left. The area you will first see likely are the breads along the wall to the left and vegetables and fruits area in front of you. This is primarily a grocery store, so you won't necessarily find everything here as you might in a big box store. There are many items that are their own brand, but they do carry some national brand items as well. At the back of the store, they also have their meats and poultry as well. They tend to have off and on sales, especially on the chicken breasts, which as just as good as anywhere else. They also seem to have some items you don't find at other locations. I've gotten their southwest guacamole a few times, which is so good too. They also have a section for Aldi Finds, which are items that are there for a limited time until sold out. In the end, this is probably the closest competitor to Lidl in terms of what they have and focus of the store. Overall, I have had great experiences here. Staff have always been friendly and helpful when looking for something or questions and corrections at check out, etc. If you're in that part of the city and looking for some general grocery shopping items, this is a great place to come and get them. read more

Aldi used to be my go to & I was so excited to have one nearby where I live. I've been on a health kick, so I decided to stop by to pick up some fruit and snacks. The store is easily accessible and has a parking lot of its own in a little shopping center off the blvd. I walked into the store thinking there would be baskets or even smaller carts, but there were none so I had to walk all the way back around through the exit, just to realize all the carts were locked! Didn't realize you had to make a 25 cent deposit to unlock them. Luckily I found a cart with a quarter still stuck in it. Once inside, I was quite disappointed in the fresh fruit selection and the selection overall. Not as many choices that I expected and many of the areas needed restocking. Maybe they had a major sale that morning? It was difficult picking a good set of bananas & when I left o get a cart, someone took my good ones I tried to hide! Overall, I just wasn't impressed and it would be seemingly hard to get a majority of my regular grocery shopping done there. Aside from that, at check out the cashier accidentally rang me up for 6 avocados instead of 3. Once I mentioned it to her, she immediately gave me a a cash refund. Though this store had good prices on some fruit & I liked seeing vegan/vegetarian options, this store was a big let down. Maybe I'll give it another chance when absolutely necessary, but I wouldn't go out of my way for this store. 3.5 rounded down to 3 stars. read more

The vast majority of Aldi stores in this country look and operate the same. This location is typical of most others. Located off of busy Virginia Beach Boulevard, this Aldi has a private parking lot that is well maintained and spacious enough to ensure you will always be able to find a spot for vehicle. The lot is generally free of debris and neat in appearance. Stray shopping carts are a rarity owing mostly to their quarter deposit policy. Put a quarter in the cart to use it then get your deposit back when you return the cart to the stall. I love this system and wish more stores would adopt the same practice. Employees are very friendly and efficient. There aren't a lot of employees on duty at any one time but they are all very professional and work very hard. There are no specialties here, everyone does everything from stocking shelves to cleaning to running the cash register to unloading trucks to...well, you get the idea. Prices are generally very fair and well under what you pay for comparable products at other supermarket chains. They carry mostly store brands of good quality but have a few national brands as well. I will caution you that their national brand products tend to be priced a tad higher than you may find at other stores. They have especially good prices on canned goods, breads, eggs and dairy, fresh produce and more. Fresh beef, pork, poultry and fish are of great quality and priced very fairly as well. There is a decent selection of organic products as well. I have never been disappointed in a product I've purchased at Aldi. Overall selection and variety is less than what is offered at larger competing grocers but that's just another reason they are able to keep their prices low. You also need to provide your own bags or purchase them at the store. I appreciate that they accept contactless payments so I can just put my phone near the checkout terminal to pay for my purchases. I always enjoy shopping at Aldi. I have never had a bad experience at any Aldi store and this one is no exception. read more

First time, LAST time. "Oh, I can get my organic veg at Aldi!" Quarter to release a cart...okay, whatever, but so many no longer carry cash. Luckily, I had a quarter. Organic section is PATHETIC, finally at least found avocados. Didn't have anything else we needed, so, get in line behind a woman with a loaded cart. And wait. NO ONE available to check us out, so, done. Put avocados back, go to leave to get my stupid quarter back....turns out, YOU CAN'T FUCKING ESCAPE WITHOUT GOING THROUGH THE *ONE* active check stand!!!!!!!!!!!! I ask if I can get my quarter back, checker didn't seem to understand the question, as he was having people just leave their carts by him??? Side hustle? "Oh, you mean you're not getting anything? I don't understand". That was enough. It was worth 25 cents to not have to explain a statement to someone, and to be able to ESCAPE!!!! ONE way in, ONE way out, blocked otherwise, either way. NOPE, NEVER doing this again, and the next person who suggest them to me....gets a punch straight to the mouth! read more

I love ALDI!! I was so happy when they built this location near me, and I frequent it a lot. There is ample parking however people that go to FedEx, Tijuana Flats, and the other places on that strip seem to use it too. They have a nice selection of produce store brand snacks. Prices are fairly cheap compared to other grocery stores. I love their wines as well. I haven't tried any I haven't liked. My only advice is if you are shopping for fruits and veggies, get there early. When I go in the evening the items are picked through and they don't restock until the next day. Overall I think ALDI is nice addition to the area and I would recommend it. read more

Customer Service. I found organic apple cider vinegar here for the large amount of BBQ sauce I'm making for gifts. I needed 6 gallons total. At Wegmans I asked if they had cases in the back and they said "no but you're welcome to take all the ones we have on the shelf". I got 3 gallons from them. Went to aldis. The bad 20 quarts at least. I put 12 in the cart and went to check out. The check out person called the manager asking how many I could buy. I was only allowed to buy 6. I tried to ask why but couldn't get an answer and they just repeated 6 was all I was allowed to buy. I asked when could I buy the other 6 bottles I needed and was told I could come back after their shift was over. I just don't understand..... Anyone on here work in the grocery business and can explain why one store said buy all of them and the other is rationing them out. They weren't on a sale or promotion or anything like that and they had 8 quarts left in that style alone. CONFUSED...... read more

Aldi used to be a place that I visited frequently; however, their products a low quality. I stop visiting this store even though the location is convenient. I decided to give it a try again, not surprisingly nothing has change. On top if that, the cashier was rude. She packed every customer grocery and when I got to her she left everything there, if your have been to this place you will know they do not have a counter for customers to pack their groceries. So I basically have to step in her place to be able to rich my groceries. read more

Aldi is an oldy but goody in my book. You need staples such as sugar flour baking supplies and canned items then This is your jam! Not so much if you need all fresh produce and a deli. It's cheap and easy but you can't get all items here. Bring a quarter and your own bags too! read more

i love aldi so much, they have great prices but their produce is not very impressive. normal i'll have a few rotten berries or grapes in a bunch but today i got a watermelon and it was completely bad so i took it back and they replaced it so i took the new watermelon home and tried to cut it up but that one was just as bad! so disappointed in the produce section. read more
