Just recently this location update their checkout lane - so now there's one lane for normal checking out and about 6 self check-out lane which is so much faster. I believe it's pretty clean here - the shelves are normally stocked. read more

This Aldi's is clean. There were some moldy grapes, but you get that at many stores. Masks were worn appropriately by all employees and patrons. They have this amazing system to encourage people to return their carts. All carts are chained together. You put a quarter in this little slot in your cart. See my picture. But your quarter stays in this little box in your cart. After you remove your groceries and return your car to the cart area, you put the chain back into your the little box on the cart and that chain pushes your quarter back out where you can retrieve it. So it doesn't cost you anything but it ensures that you return your cart. Unless you want to lose a quarter in which case you should be shopping elsewhere! There great prices. I don't buy much canned foods, so I cannot comment on the selection, but there are lots of cheeses, bread, vegetables and other fresh foods. It seemed well stocked on a Saturday morning. You do have to bag your own groceries, but to me, that is not a big deal. They place your groceries in the cart, and you go over to the counter and put them into your own bags. The Belleville Aldi's is on Belleville Road and has a traffic light, which makes getting in and out easy. read more

Clean with good variety. Love that they have organic vegetables at a reasonable price! I do wish they had more vegetarian/vegan options available. I love this Aldi's "Aisle of Shame" product availability. The employees are all very nice and courteous too! read more

I prefer going to this Aldi supermarket. The ride is nice over there from my home, for one, but mostly because they keep the place well stocked. The produce including vegetables, fruit and berries is always fresh and there is a variety of choice. The prices on their canned goods are excellent. The dairy selection is fresh and well stocked. They've got this special kind of carbonated water there, sweetened and unsweetened. I like the unsweetened kind. I highly recommend it. It comes in a variety of flavors. The staff is well trained and work hard. They are polite and efficient. The aisles are left unblocked even when they are stocking and they are glad to help. Sometimes they have plants here as well - the prices are good and the quality is great. read more

Big storm last week knocked out power. Let the freezers actually work. I was not sure the frozen food was still frozen. Favorites I buy regularly: Canned soups Low priced chocolates Value wines Staples like eggs and milk Fresh meats on special like chicken and pot roast Frozen foods (frozen fruit pops are the best) Weekly specials - some food but household goods too. Good food at a little better price. The store size is smaller then most others and the selection is less. However their prices are better and the quantity is very good. The staff persons were kind. I would say the prices are 15-45 percent less then Kroger. And they have the German holiday foods. read more

I usually turn to Aldi to purchase milk, half&half.... that sort of thing. The store is clean and well organized. I may buy meat, however I only cook for myself and they don't seem to carry smaller packages or cuts of meat. Some of their soups are low in quality. In particular, A can of Cream of Chicken soup only had 4 or 5 chunks of chicken. Just as other customers have stated, the lines can be daunting. However, the lines move quickly. read more

First to post a legit review- YAY! I wasn't aware driving by a business under construction and taking a couple pictures of an empty parking lot was considered a review of a business. Anyways... I wanted to come in here on opening day but since my house almost blew away on Wednesday it didn't really seem like a good idea to buy a bunch of groceries. But I finally came in here today for the first time and I have to say I was impressed. I had been to Aldi before but never for a full blown shopping trip. I usually needed something specific while I was out and near one and would just run in and grab what I needed and check out. I'm sure I'm not breaking any news here but the prices on 90% of the items are obscene. Aisle after aisle I was double taking on item after item that I'm consistently over paying for at Meijer or Kroger or Holiday Market. Now granted, I'm never going to be able to do all my shopping here because I'm a little bit of a food snob. But for staples like oil and flour and cheese and produce I honestly don't see myself purchasing items like this anywhere but Aldi ever again. Meat and deli stuff I am obviously still going elsewhere for but over the course of a year with how much I cook and shop I can see myself saving a bunch of scratch at this joint. The only thing that I was disappointed by was the fact that there was no beer or wine anywhere. I'm not sure if it's a licensing issue with the township or an inventory issue but half an aisle where the alcohol was suppose to be was completely bare. I had a great first impression though and this will for sure be a new weekly grocery stop for my fam. I just need to remember to keep stupid reusable grocery bags in my truck so I don't end up walking through the store like a game of grocery jenga. read more

I am here weekly. I don't remember to check in half the time I come in, but I absolutely love this store. I started The Whole 30 and Aldi's was recommended for their quality meats, veggies and other items that are compliant with my eating plan. I never actually been to an Aldi before March of 2017. My great grandmother absolutely loved this store, she lived in Germany years ago so she loved all the food here. I was really surprised by the simplicity of the store, low prices and I was able to buy a lot of the things I needed and didn't break the bank like at big box stores. I like the idea of keeping it simple, bringing your own bag, quarter for the cart so people return it, and the seasonal items they rotate in and out. No you can't find everything you might need here, but it comes pretty close! read more

I am not a big fan of shopping but a big fan of saving money. The prices are GREAT! The wine selection is awesome! Since I love wine, I also eat a lot of cheese and that too is plentiful here... Was caught off guard the first time about the cart rental and no bags, but once you understand it is how they save money to save you money, you go with the flow! read more

I shop at the Belleville Aldi weekly. The produce is fresh and inexpensive. I love the Asian salad, the cheeses and so many other things! I have bought their meat and it has been very tasty. Our family mostly eats low carb so many of the mixes I have not tried. I do enjoy the frozen quinoa dishes etc. Also as others have said, for the staples, it cannot be beaten! The staff have always been friendly. They keep the aisles well stocked! read more

I absolutely live Aldis and this store. The staff is very professional and friendly. I gave the store 3 stars because I refuse to buy milk because 3 times, he milk was spoiled upon opening. I've told the staff several times. I believe it sits before sticking. Also lots of fresh produce are expired. This could be staffing issues but I still like going. read more

Produce is terrible!!!! Except for the organic bananas! I feel like if your a grocery store you at least have to have decent produce!

In a society that is focused on health and eating healthy, I want to be able to buy fresh produce that lasts more than a day or two. The cut lettuce went bad after two days. Typically I buy heads of iceberg lettuce to help reduce this issue, which they didn't even sell. The apples were rotten after three days. I had to throw out an entire bag of apples that were squishy and brown inside. The rest of the store is great. The meat was delicious, and I really liked some of the random different things they had available to buy. But it's simply easier to go to a meat market and then a fruit/vegetable store. Any price savings you get here is removed due to the longevity of the produce. read more

This Store location and food choices are excellent! My family has both the Vegetarian and Meat eaters! We can find everything we need here at Great prices! Even their Off-Brand cereals and snacks are awesome! If you are on a budget and would like to save a few dollars on food ALDI has better quality than Walmart with lower prices than many other stores! I Love Rib-eye Steaks and Big Potatoes to go with it! ALDI has both and I Quote, "THE BEST" Rib-eye steaks around in My opinion! I am hooked on their Thick and Juicy Very High Quality Rib-eye steaks and eat about 2 every week! They are Awesome on the grill! I know I should Not eat red meats more than twice a week but honestly I could eat their steaks every day! This store is packed with fresh and frozen delights to satisfy "The entire family"! Poor customer service. Employees argued and were rude with paying customers. And it was very dirty last time in there.

I shop here probably about once a week. I usually only get 3-4 items, but every single time I'm there, there's only one checkout open. I've been treated very kind by other shoppers willing to let me go ahead of their shopping cart full of goods, however today took the cake. While I waited for someone ahead of me to find her credit card to pay, the cashier asked for backup. The manager, Kyle came out and said, "next person in line come to lane 5" as he was looking toward the back of the line. I really thought next in line, would have meant me. 5 people were able to check out in his lane before me. This person should not be a manager! So very disappointed....makes me question how valuable my time is vs. money saved by shopping there. Ugh!! read more

I remember how excited I was when this first opened a few years ago, it had the reputation of a cheap grocery store but with high quality. In these few years I've only been in a handful of times. They do have a decent variety of items, but I'll tell you now: steer clear of any perishables, whether it's dairy, fruits, even the flowers. They're always bad! I bought strawberries and despite checking them, I check the very next day and they're covered in mold. I didn't touch the fruit by hand in case I didn't purchase them but that resulted in the mold hiding on sides I couldn't see. I bought flowers, roses actually, and in my experience roses can last a few weeks, these started wilting the next day or two. Yet it was the same price as the ones I can buy at Walmart, a minute away. I've bought milk with a good sell by date but it's spoiled when opened. The cash registers are always closed except for one. They don't bag groceries which is fine, it's good practice, but they just toss your stuff into your cart, I've had dented boxes and cans because of it. I've had smushed items as well. The only time I go in there willingly now is if I'm after some cheap boxed snacks, and even then I'm wary. Even the dollar store has better quality foods at times. read more

Aldi is awesome! It is clean and has high quality products at amazingly low prices. I can buy fabulous produce at a fraction of the cost of other stores. What I am craving from there right now is making a sandwich from turkey, herbed goat cheese, bread, and romaine lettuce - a strawberry and chia seed juice beverage - and a frozen tropical fruit bar. I also love their protein rich coffee cake breakfast bars. They of course sell many more products than those - meats, cheeses, milk, soup, salad kits, fruits, vegetables, frozen meals, bread, candy, sweets, applesauce, tortilla chips, etc. read more
