Conveniently located right off of 1-94 between the Haggerty and Belleville Rd. exits, this little farmstand has the basics that you need during the summer weeks. Whether they are open or not is hit or miss. If they are open they only stay open until about 7pm both weeknights and weekends. They feature a big u-shaped driveway so it is easy on and off the 50 mile an hour service drive. They carry items such as cucumbers, new potatoes, zucchini, tomatoes, onions, green beans, apples, sweet corn, assorted squashes, peppers, gourds and melons. More veggies than fruit as a general rule. Basically whatever has just been picked. As the season goes on the stock naturally rotates. Nothing will shock and awe but it is solid farm grown deliciousness. If you are anywhere local it is uber handy and way better than the local grocery places. I will often swing by and pick up something on the spur of the moment to add to dinner. They are not uber emotive/friendly but the prices are very fair and they are not rude or anything. They know the regulars but the guy always seems to chat my dad when he stops by but not me when I am by myself. I purchased a sack 5 dozen of white corn on Last Wensday 24th. I cut the corn cut the corn scraping the milk of the corn on Thursday and put in the refrigerator to bag and freeze the next day. I decided to cook a skillet before freezing. When I went to taste before cooking to see if I needed to add sugar the corn tasted spoiled. I Googled spoiled sweet corn. This corn must have been old before I purchased it. There were lots of dark brown tops and at least a dozen were bad so I didn't even bother cutting. I didn't realize that FRESH CORN would spoil within 2 days of preparing for cooking and freezing. Can someone please tell me what happened? This corn was $18.00 a bag and at least 3 hours of prep time . See attached photo. Corn looks delicious in my BIG POT, but spoiled tastep bitter, like vinager was added. I love this place. Their tomatoes are some of the best I've ever had. As a matter of fact, I live in Dearborn Heights so it's a trek to get there but not when their stuff is that good. And someone made a comment about them not being friendly. I've never found that. I enjoy seeing them and talking to them. As far as I'm concerned, worth the trip. read more

The freshest produce every day during the growing season. It still doesn't get any better or any fresher! The white sweet corn is picked fresh every morning. We love the zucchini and yellow squash. I'm a local resident over 11 years in the Van Buren Township area and former military ops service member of 20+years! Quality of life has always been a chief concern and a main stay reason why I choose to live in this region of southeast Michigan. The people are fabulous and family oriented communities are outstanding...and I simply love the collaboration and cooperation amongst its residence which make it a wonderful place to live! Recently I inquired about local Farmer Markets in Southeast, Michigan from MOFFA (Michigan Organic Food and Farm Alliance) which I'm an email list member! And I was given a wonderful produce farmers market street vendor information (Budd's Produce) and decided to look it up and give them call! I was pleasantly surprised to find the location on FaceBook, and had an opportunity to speak with the owner himself (Budd's)! I'd shared my concerned with not being able to find a sustainable amount of healthy choices or quality organic foods-fruits & vegetables at the local grocery outlets throughout the course of the year and wanted alternative markets to service my needs! I've stopped in twice this summer and have been happy both times. Green beans, zucchini, peaches, apples, peppers, tomatoes and potatoes. All fresh picked and flavorful. Today we grabbed some corn and grilled them over a fire - they were some of the best ears of corn I've had this season! And they've got gourds and pumpkins out now so I'll be back soon. read more

The corn has been good but no way can you open it or they will have a FIT. The tomatoes they sell often are bought some where and sold there and they will not tell you that it is not theirs unless you ask. Once a girl said it was theirs so I purchased some and was so disappointed. The taste tells you all. It was garbage for eating. Hard inside and not any flavor and the price was very high. No way ever would I purchase the tomatoes. My neighbor said when he was their they treated him like he was stealing something. If they want to have a good business it is time to treat your customers better and put signs out if things are not from your farm and stop the games. read more
