Conveniently located right off of 1-94 between the Haggerty and Belleville Rd. exits, this little farmstand has the basics that you need during the summer weeks. Whether they are open or not is hit or miss. If they are open they only stay open until about 7pm both weeknights and weekends. They feature a big u-shaped driveway so it is easy on and off the 50 mile an hour service drive. They carry items such as cucumbers, new potatoes, zucchini, tomatoes, onions, green beans, apples, sweet corn, assorted squashes, peppers, gourds and melons. More veggies than fruit as a general rule. Basically whatever has just been picked. As the season goes on the stock naturally rotates. Nothing will shock and awe but it is solid farm grown deliciousness. If you are anywhere local it is uber handy and way better than the local grocery places. I will often swing by and pick up something on the spur of the moment to add to dinner. They are not uber emotive/friendly but the prices are very fair and they are not rude or anything. They know the regulars but the guy always seems to chat my dad when he stops by but not me when I am by myself. When I was teaching they would always give me a discount on items I was buying for the classroom though. CASH ONLY! Plenty of ATMs on the nearby crossroads. They have a facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Budds-Produce/193889017331473

Due to life and a pandemic I took a few years off from strawberry picking but I was excited to do…read moreit again this year! I was not left disappointed. First off, we went on a Friday early evening the week the strawberries were ready for picking and it was PLENTIFUL. So many berries. My family and I all agreed that we would only be picking enough to eat at home and that's it. No jamming, canning, freezing, etc. Yet the berries were so perfect, so ripe and beautiful we somehow picked a full tray each, even in the 90 degree, 60% humidity heat. NO REGRET! It's still super easy to go here. Drive up, grab your tray, pick your berries, drive back and get them weighed (there's stall with mixes for baked goods, jams, and more plus bottled beverages if the heat is getting to you). I can't remember exactly but it shook out to be around 2.59 a pound I believe (but don't quote me on that) and I got $23 dollars worth. Now I have nearly 9lbs of strawberries in my fridge for snacking, baking, and more. But don't expect jam this year. I haven't the energy for that!

Our family takes a trip here every year, for the last 12 years. We love it! We pick sugar snap peas…read more& strawberries. Prices are reasonable and it's a full day of fun. Pack sandwiches & have a picnic after! Pro tip: check the website, their Facebook page, or call them every year to see how the crop is doing and when it will be ready for picking. If you wait too long you'll miss out because they get picked pretty quickly.

Came here for my first time on Sunday. All the other greenhouses in the area were packed, so I…read morefigured I'd try a new place. Huge mistake. My daughter and I were having a good time shopping and picking out plants. Everything was great until it wasn't. When we got to the checkout we had a couple cut in front of us and I called them out to move to the back of the line to only be informed that these people have previously checked out and wanted to get something else quickly. The cashier didn't ask them to move to the back of the line of people waiting but continued to help them anyways. Which wasn't the worst part of my experience. My daughter was looking for yard decorations and wanted to show me something she thought was cool when a worker yelled across the room "HEY LITTLE GIRL DONT TOUCH THAT!!" Then continued to bend down and get close to my daughters face (who was already froze from being yelled at by some crazy old lady) and continued to tell her the item she was showing me was SO expensive and she would break it if she keeps messing with it. I told the lady she was fine meaning SHE'S OBVIOUSLY NOT GOING TO TOUCH IT ANYMORE and she looked at me and said "NO ITS NOT FINE" and continued telling her the $30 item cannot be touched by children and wouldn't stop until I told the women I GOT IT!! My daughter is 5. She was in my 5 year olds face and is incredibly lucky I didn't get into hers. My first initial thought was to leave my entire cart and let the rude employee put away the flowers I was shopping for but I ended up buying it so I could just get out of there. She completely ruined our experience and day after that with her horrible attitude. She was brunette wearing a bandana or whatever it was around her forehead. She wasn't nice, she didn't ask nicely, she surely doesn't know how to talk to children or to be professional. So if you have kids and enjoy going to greenhouses with them DO NOT COME HERE. They don't know how to treat little kids. ALSO most of their plants are diseased (zinnias, etc.) so buy with caution if you do happen to go here
