I purchased from Baker Creek recently for the first time. The instability of things right now and the price of food has spurred me into more gardening than I have in years past. They have an interesting variety heirloom seeds, and some "bare root" plants and there was a number if things that caught my eye. I purchased two types of strawberries, two types of raspberries, and some boysenberries. Due to the issues currently happening with the USPS (some towns not even receiving mail for months on end) the shipment was delayed and many of the plants became decayed. I reached out to customer service with some photos the day of unpackaging and they replaced THE ENTIRE ORDER. I felt so guilty as I am trying to support small business not hurt them, and this was a shipping issue not a product issue. Jake in customer service assured me he was happy to replace the order and that I would not be charged a cent. I honestly can say that Jake and the rest of the Baker Creek customer service team are the kindest most responsive customer service people I have ever encountered. This company is incredibly professional. They live their values and provide an amazing product! As for the second batch of plants- they were pristine and green! Thank you so very much Baker Creek for being second to none in the gardening world!

We especially love the Amish / Mennonite stands that there seem to be more of. Everyone there seem to be friendly and helpful. The prices are nice as well. We've been going almost every weekend, and have yet to leave without bags full of fruits, vegetables, baked good, frozen meats, and jams or honey. We look forward to going again this coming weekend. If I absolutely, positively had to make a complaint, it would be that some vendors seem to leave pretty early, so you gotta get there early enough to catch all the vendors. Other than that, it's probably thee best farmer's market in town.

The experience exceeded our expectations in every way. A 5-star rating does not seem sufficient to reflect the quality of what Gardner's Orchard offers--this is truly a 10-star experience. It was particularly meaningful to see how approachable and manageable it can be to care for animals such as chickens, which has encouraged me to consider this opportunity for my own children. On…read moreseveral accounts I've made it home with moldy produce, poorly packaged meats (chicken specifically - they did not pack the chicken well AND put a damaged bag into the trunk of my car, leaving chicken juices everywhere), ridiculously packed bags (heavy cleaning supplies on top of produce). I've spoken to management and on one account had to have a refund...this is exhausting and i as the customer should not have to specify in the notes for my order to "be picky with produce and careful bagging"....that should just be the default. Sincerely, Tired of spending my money on bad food.
