Aldi is pretty much always good. Today they were not much busier than normal. Once again, the biggest problem I saw was the customers. If you pull in in a 12-cylinder Mercedes and park in the no-parking area you just look like an idiot. The same goes if you park there in a piece of garbage with half the front bumper missing. Shame on you. Many of the customers were very friendly and polite. I do appreciate that greatly. It makes it a lot easier to live with everything else read more

The produce is fabulous and I love the selection of cheese that I cannot find anywhere else.

Vegan Friendly Options Thrilled to see that in addition to the vegan burgers and ckn patties in the freezer section and the vegan milks, this Aldi has the accidentally vegan crescent rolls AND the vegan whipped cream!!! Dispenses easier than the Readi Whip and less $, too. read more

My opinion Aldi is over rated. Its messy not organized, empty shelves. Been to aldi in 2 different states and its the same story.

I love shopping at Aldi's! They have the best organic selection in town and always have fun and unique items. If you're a healthy eater- this is your go to place for groceries! Their selections of nuts is huge. Great selection of breads. Their produce is always great & purchasing fruit is always a good deal here. There's a great selection of healthy salad dressings. Just got a beet balsamic dressing I'm obsessed with! Awesome cheeses and deals on meats! The only thing is they don't have egg selection, just one! But still worth it to stop here first for my shopping. read more

We live in Nixa and shop Aldi often and love everything about it. Especially love the courteous employes there. Have always been impressed with how friendly and helpful everyone of them .are. As we were in Springfield this afternoon and needing some things from Aldi store, we stopped in at the one on Battlefield street. Was shocked at the difference in the workers attitude. Out of contact with 5 different workers , only one was friendly , he looked to be the youngest one working there. Even the checker was very rude. Last time to stop there. Love the one here in Nixa. read more

The greatest grocery store! Leave it to the Germans to figure out the perfect engineered shopping experience! Great quality food, super great prices for food!!!! Shop here!! The Amish do! read more

Aldi has become a great store for me and my family! Their items are better than brand names but much less in cost! We buy their fit bread that is delicious! We love their cheese slices! They have great cafe-free brown eggs! Their Simply Nature items is above superb! They have many items for vegans which I'm grateful for! Their almond butter is wonderful! Their sparkling flavored water is great! Their wine selection is amazing! I could go on and on! All I know is you'll never be disappointed! read more

I know what you are thinking. Cause I did too. Dented cans. Rotten bananas. Close dated milk and eggs. Lousy meat (did u even know they had meat?). Off brands. Generic smelly cold industrial yuck why would I ever shop here at Aldi's. Did you know Aldi is the parent company of trader joes? SGF peeps trader joes is nice but you aren't gonna save much money at one. Ever. And I say rethink Aldi's. Do it now. Do it today. Their in house brands are not generic. They are good quality. Their canned goods prices can't be beat. But - they have fresh good looking well priced beef, chicken, pork, BACON, Eggs, milk. Best prices in town. Even better than Walmart. And Wally worlds quality isn't nearly as good. Do you like snack food? Chocolate? Wine, beer, luncheon meat, cheeses from around the world, baking goods, baked goods? Top notch. Excellent value. Amazingly surprisingly good. Do you like screaming deals on frozen stuff. Frozen veggies, dinners, turkey, shrimp, fish, snack? Why aren't you shopping here? Their prices on household cleaners, baggies, pet supplies, toiletries. Amazing But you like paying more money right? Sure - you aren't gonna get your whole entire list here. Last week there was fresh cilantro but no Italian parsley. I needed canned tuna in oil and didn't find any. But stop here first. Seriously. Then go to Food 4 less and big lots for the rest. Oh wait? You are too fancy to shop at Aldi, food 4 less, big lots. You don't want to go slumming with all the executives, business owners, south side yuppies, professionals, up and comers who shop here all the time... You'd rather look rich than be rich right? No? Then shop at Aldi's. Don't waste your precious time at Wally World. Get in. Get out get it done and pay less. And don't forget your own bags (the sell them there). Don't forget to bring a debit card or cash (it's all about the cash, no credit). And don't forget a quarter for the cart. And yes - you'll get it back. Or you could save yourself the trip back to the cart corral with your empty or do the right nice thing and just pass it off to the next SMART SHOPPING LIKE YOU and say keep the quarter. They'll pass it on or keep it but who cares. Cause you just saved a bundle. See ya at Aldi's!!! Where are you? Get there! read more

Oh, how I love Aldi's. This place has the cheapest prices in town. They have a great variety of basic grocery, produce and household items at prices that simply cannot be beat. But what makes this place extraordinary are their weekly specials. Every Wednesday, they bring in different products, ranging from toys, clothing, garden, household or holiday items. So you can get some pretty incredible deals at bottom dollar prices. Make sure to bring your bag and a quarter for the cart because they keep their services at a minimum to offer such low prices. read more

Excellent selection, extremely clean, recently remodeled. Friendly and fast, hard-working staff. Great prices, too.

One of the places I often shopped at when I lived in central Iowa, and was glad to see they had them here in Springfield. Limited on selection, but very cheap in cost. Very nice store. read more

They are out of everything I came here for and the workers are not very friendly or helpful. I am rather disappointed. I normally go to the north side location, but I found myself on the south side so I thought I would stop in real quick. Looks like tomorrow I will have to go to the north side to get the things I actually need. read more

Super rude cashier names Jessica. Reported her to management. Has an attitude, snatched money from me and threw .. Yes threw.. My grocery in a cart. So many other people need jobs and they Decided to hire her.. Interesting, read more

TLDR: Aldi is a great place for value grocery shopping. We do about 75% of our food shopping at Aldi, with about 15% coming from Target (the only place we can find boo's favorites like his special salsa and KA bread flour on the CHEAP) and random/emergency things from more expensive, somewhat more convenient shops. Why I love Aldi: - Efficiency! The checkout process - where the cashiers put your groceries in an empty cart and you then bag them - is super-fast, and frankly I am happy to bag my own groceries. And I don't feel like I am slowing the flow when I use my own bags, since EVERYONE uses their own bags! :) The return-your-cart-for-a-quarter system is also a clever way to cut customer costs. I think that the (mostly) one-way flow of traffic throughout the store makes the shopping process more efficient, although I don't have studies that back this up (yet). - Great prices! Like others have said, it seems like our grocery bill is about half when we go to Aldi (unless we buy pricier things like wine, nuts & meat, when it's more like....half plus $5). Specifically, items I think are great bargains: organic milk, eggs (seriously, they were 40 cents a dozen the other day), cereal, nuts (we are partial to the wasabi almonds and cashews), dried fruit (cherries), bread items (whole wheat loaf, english muffins, raisin bread), avocados...I could go on and on. - Store brand products! Aldi may have "off" brand products, but seriously they are nearly ALL as good as name-brand, if not better. (The one "miss" we've had was some salted caramel ice cream.) In particular, Clancy's snacks (restaurant-style tortilla chips, pretzels, potato chips) are great, I like their tomato sauce, and their cheeses are surprisingly good too. - Specials! Usually it seems like they have super-sales on some of the produce, like I think we got an avocado for like 40 cents and snow peas for a dollar the other day. There are sometimes really good deals on meat, although I let boo deal with meat purchases so I don't know specifics. I like to check the stand-alone cooler near the bread end-cap, where they sometimes have (name-brand!) ice cream treats and other special items. What I think could be better at Aldi: - I would like to see more organic produce, although I think their selection has expanded even in the 1.5 years we've been shopping there. They are also making a push to eliminate synthetic colors, partially hydrogenated oils, and added MSG from their store products, so that's good. - I don't love some of their packaging, like bananas in plastic bags (I feel like I've rarely seen that elsewhere) and lots of styrofoam trays for produce. - Their lettuce is, for some reason, usually very underwhelming. - The last aisle (next to the freezers) is usually a traffic jam. The aisle dividers slow down folks from passing lookie-loos....but I guess they have to put their giant ferns/tomato cages/garden gnomes somewhere! Basically, Aldi has *almost* everything we want, in a good-quality and inexpensive form. I'd rather shop at Aldi where they only have one kind of greek yogurt that is GOOD than other places that have 4 sub-par brands for twice the price. If you are on the fence, give it a try - just DON'T FORGET YOUR QUARTER and keep the flow of traffic moving! :-D ____________________ To clarify: - Aldi is not owned by Trader Joe's. It's more interesting than that: http://www.slate.com/blogs/browbeat/2013/12/02/aldi_grocery_store_best_in_america_related_to_trader_joe_s.html Also, I do love Trader Joe's, they have great prepared food and you CAN save money there (on many of the same things that are cheap at Aldi, like nuts, dried fruit & dairy). They also have nice (albeit unnecessary) things that make me happy, like flowers and good chocolates. If TJ's came to Springfield, I would probably need to rework my entire shopping strategy. - Aldi also now accepts debit AND credit cards, so there's no need for cash (outside of your quarter!) or to torture your fellow shoppers by writing a check. read more

We started shopping here and we literally found our grocery bill to be half of what it was. My only issue is they do not change the produce out before it goes bad. I think if more people shopped here, it would be less of a problem, and Woods has better quality meat at a great price if you get there when they mark it down, but this is always my first stop for groceries. read more

I spent 100.00 at the store in Springfield mo yesterday 11/2/2018 bought a bag of oranges only to find they were rotten except for 2 out of an entire bag. I also had purchased a cucumber only to find it was also spoiled. I understand that the total lack if customer service saves them money but I still expect product that is not rotting on the shelf. I recommend that you closely inspect any produce you purchase there. I won't be shopping there again. read more

Not alot of variety but great prices on their generic products. They carry very few name brands so that is how you save money. Good place for all of your basics. Their Lacura skin care line is award-winning and gets good reviews online. They run about 3.99 each. Cant beat the price! You need to pay a quarter to get a cart, when you return the cart you get your quarter back. They dont take checks or credit cards (except discover card) cash, debit or food stamps accepted. You have to pay for grocery paper bags so bring in your own bags or use the spare boxes near the check out. No carry out service available. These are the reasons they can keep their prices so low. I wish we had one in Ozark. read more
