This is an update. I subsequently learned that ALDI charges a 25 cent deposit for shopping carts. Consumers get that back on return of the cart. I wish they had baskets. I walk with a cane, using a shopping cart is difficult. If they had baskets I could not find them. I am not a fan of ALDI.

Flour Power! I visited yesterday (4/14/20). Seeking Flour! Aldi's had it-I brought a bag of Flour! Very pleased; as Near by Target & Giant flour sold out! The line to a get in took about 10 mins. Store Capacity 60 people-ensuring Social Distance! Customer service/check out courteous & prompt.

Came on opening day and I'm surprised it wasn't more crowded. Yay for me! I received a free Aldi reusable grocery bag and $5 coupon that can be used within the next week. Parking was a breeze in the huge lot in the early morning, but I'm sure it will get more difficult during peak hours. This is only my second time shopping at an Aldi and I'm a fan. You'll find food at great prices and other miscellaneous items (household goods, clothing, pet supplies, storage equipment, etc.). If you see something you like, make sure you purchase it because it might not be there next week! So far my go to items at Aldi have been the fruit, vegetables, cheese, bread, and European cookies/candy. Overall a great location and addition to the neighborhood. Staff was friendly and were able to answer questions on items and their location. Check out was also a breeze. I'm still getting used to packing my items at the counter, which can get crowded so have some patience. Also not really ideal for those with strollers as you have to maneuver it and the cart to the packed counter. I see how it can cut down on costs and time at the register, though! Bags are 10 cents (rather than the usual 5 cents) and you need to estimate how many you will need. Carts are a quarter, which you get back once you return the cart. Some thing I need to get used to as well...always have a quarter on hand when you visit an Aldi!

I like going to Aldi's. I used to tell people about Aldi's and how it was like a little hidden gem and suggest that they stop by and now I am very careful about what I say to people. Before the pandemic I used to like coming here because their produce good and fresh, the prices were reasonable and their stores are always clean, however during the pandemic the quality of the produce is not always good. Pre-pandemic five stars during the pandemic not so much. I know this review may seem a little tough but I have to be honest with my review, because there are a lot of things that they could improve on including keeping people safe by making sure that their stores always have wipes available to wipe those carts down. One day I found some candles and the very first candle that I purchased was a cranberry holiday scent and ever since then I've been hooked. I've tried almost all their flavors so far. Every time I see a new one I try to grab it. The only suggestion I would make the shoppers is to carefully inspect the items that you're purchasing and look for expiration dates. If you cannot find the expiration dates do not get that item. Look for another one with a date on it. Also the dairy products for some reason mainly their cheeses spoil a good year or more before the expiration date that is printed on the package. I threw the cheese in the trash before taking a picture. I completely forgot to take one for this review. It was a brand new bag of shredded cheddar cheese and I had only used it once and the second time it ruined my food because I did not realize that the cheese was molded.

This new Aldi rocks because.... There is plenty of parking. Eisles are wide so you can browse. Lots of stock, more than other Aldi locations. It's new !! More different items to choose from. I usually shop at Del Mercado. This is worth the extra trip.

Most affordable grocery's store in the area. Decently clean given how much traffic it sees good selection.

Does this location have a bakery? I ask only because one in Columbia/Elkridge has a real bakery with fresh baked donuts, croissants, etc?

I don't think it has an in-store bakery, as some supermarkets do, but they have a nice bakery section. They sell all kinds of bread and bakery products. I especially like their large sourdough loaves, and their raisin bread which is only $1.79 and… Read more

Just an updated review of how much I love this place. It's been about a year since my last review…read moreand it feels people are a bit more organized with their set up. I still really like Rita's but right across from them is a wonderful charcuterie/beef selection. I usually get their naked bacon and black pepper bacon because my boyfriend loves it. They also sell really good hot dog sausages on the side. Verna's bakery is another up and coming one with their smoothie selection. I'm huge into their green machine. It's busy but everything moves fairly quickly.

My hubby and I caught the tail-end of the market and bought some treats to take home! Veg Heaven - Scrumptious vegan pastries particularly the moist and fluffy blueberry muffin! The banana muffin and apple turnovers are tasty too. While the bbq fried chicken sandwich was fun to try, it was dense and messy. The chocolate eclairs that I got from the Capital Harvest on the Plaza farmers market in DC was divine. The pastries rotate around different farmers markets, will have to check out their Tyson's location! Twin Valley Distilleries - The whiskey and flavored rum tasting was too tempting to pass up a bottle! The sweetness of the fresh juices perfectly masked the rum, cutting the alcohol content to 15% ABV. Refreshing and perfect for a warm summer day with a nice kick! We bought all 3 flavored rums at $25/each - Hibiscus Sorrel, Fruit Punch, and Pineapple. Potomac Sweets - The croissants and decadent pastries looked scrumptious! Although the pastries are stored in a glass display case, they are still baking under the sun and are dry and stale. The brownie was alright. Recommend grabbing a pastry here bright and early when the market opens. Senzu Juice - Refreshing cold-pressed juices. The "Refresh" Watermelon Mint juice is my favorite. Liberty Delight Farms - All sorts of dog goodies from raw bones to chunky pieces of dried beef heart and chicken/beef liver. Treat your dog at the market! Great place to grab some breakfast and some treats to take home!

A special, historic, little market hall - since 1932 - open only several days a week, featuring stalls with local items. Free to enter and shop! This Wednesday morning, only the florist and a farm goods stand were open. Although no need for produce at the moment, I appreciated their locally made items like assorted goat milk soaps from Madison Fields in Dickerson, plus various jarred items from McCutcheon's in Frederick, like: Fruit Preserves, Spreads, Butters, and Marmalades; Wildflower Honey; Hot Chow Chow, Hot Pepper Relish, and Bread & Butter Pickles; Spiced Peaches; as well as Apple and Spaghetti Sauce. Bought a jar of McCutcheon's Beet Balls, pickled that is, to take back to New York. Look forward to stopping by Farm Women's Market another time, like on a Saturday when I'm told it will be filled with all the vendors, to see what local cheeses and baked items are available! They also have a Flea Market there on Sundays. Recommend checking it out!
