I continue to be pleased with my shops at ALDI and this one was consistent with the chain. The same layout, the same merchandise, the same need to have a quarter for your shopping cart. The store was tidy and clean. Well stocked with stuff and I was able to find a few things that were on the list. The commercial bread had the whole wheat that I like, the usual demi stuff was present and while I wasn't shopping frozen today, all of that was as expected. This location is very well stocked,however I wish it were more modern like my local Lynn Road store. The weekly finds section has all The items advertised online, I just wish it had a longer aisle. The employees move lines along and stock well here. I was able to score meat with the 50% off red label here and that was a steal. there is a Food Lion near & I guess I need to start going back there. Two of the main reasons I drive further to ALDIs was for can mushrooms @ bulk sausage. Not anymore.. The mushrooms are outrageous & before I pay $3.99 for the bulk sausage I will catch Jimmy Dean sausage on sale & buy it. Also I am tired of seeing dogs in grocery stores. I am not talking about a guide dog. I have a horse that is a comfort to me, can I bring him into your store? I have four dogs but I have the sense enough to leave them at home when I go grocery shopping or out to eat. I have lead several people to ALDIs but that will have to stop too. I unfortunately wasn't pleased coming here and will go to a different location for a while. Generally they have great customer service but not this time. They have switched back to not cleaning off the carts and having to pay twenty five cents. That isn't even an issue for me though it would be for others. I heard some grumbling regarding this. My issue was the sanitation wipe dispenser that was full of used wipes and no clean wipes to use. I luckily keep some in my car. Therefore, I was able to still clean off the cart and able to shop. When leaving I asked the clerk if he was going to wipe the cart he was attempting to put my groceries into. He replied No you need to donit yourself. The container of wipes was sitting right next to him. I had to ask him if I could get a wipe to clean the cart off before he added my groceries to the cart someone else was just using. In my opinion that isn't great customer service. He wasn't very friendly.amd seemed upset I asked for a wipe. We are still in a pandemic. We still need to be vigilant and cautious. read more

You've got to love the prices! Have your quarter ready for a cart and bring your own bags to load up your purchases. There are bags for sale. I love their produce, cheeses, meats, low cost eggs, yogurt, canned goods. Okay I love this store! And make regular pilgrimages here to stock up. I must mention their wine selection--do not fear the Winking Owl at less than $4 bottle. It's pretty good! You will find they carry a wide variety of items, but not everything on your list, not the same things available every time you visit and certainly not a choice among brands. You want oatmeal--one brand available and it's generally the Aldi brand. Love their Fit and Active product line for some healthier options. Only downside is store can get messy and while the checkout is fast, crazy lines sometimes. Also beggars frequent the parking lot. I'm not a creature of habit but admit to some trepidation when entering ALDI! I knew it was a European chain of supermarkets for the thrifty and related to my fave, Trader Joe's right down the street. But for my first visit, I wasn't sure what to expect. .25 for a shopping cart? Ok. Private-label brand snacks, canned goods and more? Yep. One cash register open and bring your personal bag? Sure. Things are just DIFFERENT here and you do get used to your grocery and food shopping runs at Teeter. To try a new spot takes some effort but in ALDI's case it might be worth it. While there isn't a lot of known name-brands and there's limited selection, ALDI is like a more basic Trader Joe's. And in all honesty, I bet some of the suppliers are the same but with an off-brand of a private label. Hope that makes sense. So if you're on a budget and willing to try something different, check out ALDI. For kitchen necessities, I come here first. Then hit up Trader Joe's a mile down the same street towards downtown for things I can't buy at Aldi. Super affordable. The building isn't as nice as the Cary location, sadly. There's great vegan options. Good amount of organic products. Soy, almond, oat milk. Veggie dogs, Italian sausages. Faux chicken patties. I like that I can buy organic, fair trade coffee beans for $4! That's unheard of anywhere else!! read more

Especially when you are shopping for one person like me, it definitely makes a difference if you shop at Aldi vs. other grocery stores. And also, you cannot forget the $3 wine selection. Thank goodness for Winking Owl! That's my go-to wine at the moment :) Make sure to bring a quarter to get you a shopping cart! At first, I thought this was odd, but then I love how it keeps the parking lot of Aldi clutter-free with non-parked shopping carts. Since I started to come to Aldi, I always leave one quarter in my car. Also, shopping bags. They are not free at Aldi, so make sure to bring the reusable ones from home. If you know me, you know that my love of Aldi's is real. I like to run a tight ship and grocery shopping is a regulated process, I'm in and out and know exactly what I want. Aldi's provides for all my needs but at a very LOW cost. They cut their costs by having their customers help out, like by depositing $0.25 for a cart (therefore cutting out the cart-stocking employees), bringing your own bags (you can buy them if you need them) and rather then stocking every item, they stock what is in season or on sale and either their brand or a generic brand. The store is always clean and although the check-out lines can get a little long, their employees are extremely proficient. I also love the fact that they have one aisle that I call the "treasure aisle", it's filled with cheap items that you never knew you needed until you get there, and it's exactly what you've been looking for. The prices are insanely cheap and you'll find anything from car washing supplies to garden tools to kitchen utensils, Tupperware or household organizers. They're all close-out products, so you have to get them when you see them, because they'll be gone quick. read more

i have gone to this aldis several times I have had a great experience up until today the cashier was super disrespectful I asked kindly and nicely if she could not throw the groceries being that I had a lot of fruit she sarcastically placed an item and said there is that better? being super disrespectful my husband said hey just please don't throw the groceries she asked nicely she said she had no time do that because there was a huge line and was there alone I'm not one to complain or make reviews but this one needed to be spoken about I was able to speak to the manager there who was kind enough to say he would speak to her. I LOVE Aldi because I LOVE saving $$$! I have been to this this location 2x so far. Employees are always friendly and I don't know if it's coincidence but it has not been busy/crowded/anxiety-inducing like other Aldi locations I've been to. As for an example of price comparisons, I bought a 3-pack of Romaine Lettuce hearts at Harris Teeter the previous week (before finding Aldi) and paid a whopping $4.49 for them. Then at Aldi I find the EXACT SAME BRAND and paid $1.99! A dozen eggs, 85 cents. Gallon of milk $2.55. Good selection of snacks and canned goods. I never get meat here... I absolutely love Aldi. Love love love. Everything is super cheap. Most brands are generic, but rival their brand-name competitors. Staff is super friendly. I always go here on a weekday. I've never tried going on a weekend, but I'm sure my experience would be different. It's never super crowded and the lines are really pretty short if you go during the week. Side note: My mom used to take me to Aldi's in Ohio and I never liked it. It was so dirty and crowded. This was twenty years ago or so. I hit Aldi and get all the basics. Eggs, cheese, yogurt, cereal, flour, etc. It's nice to get a grocery cart full under $40. You will hardly find name brands here, but keep in mind that Aldi and Trader Joes are owned by the same company. Be aware, that this is a bare bones grocery stuff. Nothing fancy. I know there is a new place in Wake Forest giving Aldi some competition but I love me some Aldi. They have copy cat products of national brands that I would bet you the cart rent you cannot tell any difference. I swear by their cereals, their coffee pods and their protein bars. Weekly specials are excellent buys especially in produce, which is by the way mostly organic, as well as the meat selections. From Kobe beef to wild salmon to pork and chicken that is certified organic you cannot go wrong and you will absolutely save money. Each week has seasonal specials and clearances. I look forward to every visit no matter which Aldi I pick. I've been to That Other Store twice and outside of having an onsite bakery I didn't find a thing that was going to make me change my ways. I shop at Aldi at least once a week, although not always this location. I shop here when I also stop at Trader Joe's, which is right down the road. The aisles at this Aldi are much wider than other Aldi stores I have shopped at. It's your typical Aldi: bring a quarter for a cart, bring your own bags, and enjoy very low prices on quality groceries. They tend to have not enough people on the registers at busy times, but I still never seem to wait too long. read more

Most of the other customers are friendly and respectfully not on their cell phones and walking over you. The store is usually not overcrowded, in the afternoons or evenings on the days I am there. Parking is easy. What more is there that a national grocery store chain can offer? Oh, the special buys for the following week usually start on Tuesday, and by the weekend are nearly gone, so come by early in the week if you see something you like in the online flyer. I have been to Aldi twice, and I don't understand what all the hype is about. The store doesn't have much selection, and there are many "off" brands. I'm not opposed to store brands, but the food has to be good quality, a unique buy... IMO, Aldi has an identity crisis. It doesn't offer niche products like Trader Joe's, it's not big enough to be Costco, and it's not cheap enough to be Walmart. Overall, I don't recommend the store. My wife and I have been shopping at Aldi for about a year now. If you know what you are doing, you can save a lot of money by doing the bulk of your shopping here but it does take some getting used to. They have an organic line called Simply Nature which is a far better deal than any other organic around. Their produce is all paid by quantity rather than weight which can provide good value but be cautious because it is not always super fresh. Their meats are ok but I prefer to get it elsewhere. Their boxed goods are a very good value. Many of their no name brand items taste very similar to what you would find elsewhere but at a fraction of the cost. I pair aldi with trader joes and can do all my shopping at a fraction of the cost of other major chains. read more

This was the first Aldi I've ever been to, however, I wasn't that impressed. The inside looks kind of old and very spaced out. Everything was reasonably priced, but I felt like part of the reason was because of the produce being old. All the blueberries on the shelf had mold on them... ew. Very reasonable. For example, $1 for a bag of tortilla chips that are as good as most you can get anywhere else. Score. The guacamole is always what I come for, and end up with a few extra items to try. Most of the time, I think "huh...well...that was decent, but don't know that I'll get it again." My husband and I are Aldi shoppers for life! What you think of Aldi will be directly related to whether you are a lover of bargains. Not only are produce, eggs, dairy, chips and snacks very good, they're priced far below most of the other chain groceries. For a long time we skipped the meat counter, but their meat and seafood are an unexpected hit. It looks a little different because it's all prepackaged, but it's well worth trying. Our favorite? Salmon -- it's literally without ANY fishy odor, which is amazing! We also love their hamburger, chicken, pork, and ham. The frozen scallops are great, too. Finally, there's the wine. Can't beat their prices -- it's inexpensive enough to experiment with to find the ones you like. You won't like them all but you'll definitely find some you do. Check them out! read more

Maybe I came at a bad time, but even this grocery store nerd didn't enjoy the ALDI experience. Shelves were disorganized, stock was low, bins had rotting or otherwise damaged produce; I used to date a guy from Poland and this made me think of his stories about growing up there in the 80s. It was dim and grim in there even on an otherwise bright, sunny day and the staff seemed equally dampened in spirit. With the new Lidl opening nearby, I don't think I'll have reason to brave this again. read more

I honestly love this place, I wish it were closer. Saturday I got a cart full of strawberries, blackberries,blueberries, sweet potatoes, colorful bell peppers, avocados, asparagus, red onion, cucumbers, cabbage, bananas and a couple of non produce items for under $40.00. They have the BEST dark chocolate with hazelnuts for under $1.99. I have also started trying some of their snacks and have never been disappointed, just make sure to bring a quarter and your own bags, I did neither this weekend and got a min workout. read more

I was using a bag I purchased from Aldi to have my groceries loaded into. It is designed to hook on the sides of a cart. That way after the cashier scans the item they can put it directly into the bag. Again, I bought the bag at Aldi. The bag says Aldi. The cashier refused to put the items in my bag. She pointed to the front of the cart and said I am going to put the groceries there. So I move the bag to the front of the cart. Then she said I'm going to put the groceries at the back of the cart. So I move the bag to the back of the cart. But she refused to put them in the bag still. So finally I just tried to catch the items after she scanned them and put them in the bag myself. I accidentally grabbed for the toilet paper before she scanned it. I apologized. I told her that I would try to be a better bagger next time. I hope customer service of Aldi improves and they will use the very product that they sell. read more
