ADLI bananas - they even look mad !

Update - It's Monday morning I opened a banana and they have black in the center ... one on top in the photos looks like a mad face! So throwing those out as well! So that's 4 items in the trash now ;( Starting a special diet tomorrow so I shopped Aldi hoping to save some money on the produce I needed. Spent $109 ... Fresh Raspberries - bought 4 packages ... salvaged maybe a cup because they were mushy. Bananas - had to sort through piles to find any that weren't bruised. Blackberries - Aldi didn't have any. Strawberries - looked ok, but when I cleaned them the majority were rotted through the center hidden underneath the leaves. Threw them all out. Husband picked out a Rib Eye Steak. It looked really good. We grilled it this evening and it was so tough I couldn't eat it. They didn't have quite a few items I needed, so we ended up at Kroger to complete our grocery shopping. The store was fairly neat, with the exception of the clearance aisle (I think that what it is supposed to be?) The cashier was friendly and fast (told me they are timed on the checkout ... wth?) I ended up saving ZERO because I had to throw out the berries and the steak. Will definitely NOT be a return customer.

Always love Aldi and this store is a good nearby one for me. Clean and friendly workers.

I bought one pack of ground beef , and there was a sticky object (wood) about one inch long , in side the meats.

I think my sister in law was trying to cheer me up by bringing me to the Frisco Farmers Market this morning, but I left feeling even more sad. I'm really not used to having to drive to get to a farmers market and this was a completely different experience. There weren't very many stalls or similar items to mine back home. I'm used to countless tents with fresh flowers, fresh fish, meats, produce, nuts, soups, honey, dates, sprouts, etc. All of the vendors have TONS of fresh samples cut up. There are swarms of people everywhere. I typically leave farmers market not requiring breakfast because I've had so many fresh samples and I walk home with lovely treats and bouquets of flowers wrapped in newspaper. We also have tons of ready made food options, bakers, and endless vendors. This was all together different and extremely underwhelming. I even caught myself missing our regular paparazzi guys, who used to get on my nerves a little. It was odd walking around not seeing anyone stalking the farmers market guests for shots to sell. No A list actors, actresses, athletes, TV execs... It's all together unusual. I purchased a coffee and a couple vegan items from a vendor who said it was his very first day. I don't have any plans on returning to this farmers market even if I bore to death here, but would definitely recommend if you live walking distance as there were a couple options for fresh juices, a lemonade stand that looked tasty, a hand pie lady (with tiny samples, but enough to know she makes a great dough for them) and a few coffee options - which all together could make for a nice visit, just totally not worth driving here for.

We used to live right across the street and it was a breeze to walk over. We live further away now and have to drive - which can sometimes be troublesome - but if you get there before 10am there is usually street parking very close by. If you arrive towards the end of the market you will likely have trouble finding parking and need to walk from the central square. I have to give them 5 stars because they are an incredible addition to Denton, but I will say that I wish they would switch up the vendors more often. Every time I go it seems that the same people are there, selling the same things. If you're just visiting from out of town or are only coming once a season, it's awesome. If you want to go every weekend, it gets repetitive. Regardless, the community market is amazing and I would tell everyone to visit!!

I recommend parking in the lot across the street as opposed to street parking. The sheer amount of vendors is overwhelming and I really love to support local, but I almost feel guilty because there are more vendors than my wallet can afford to support! There is something for everyone though! I love the farmers market aspect of it, lots of fruits, veggies and homemade items. You'll also find honey, sauces, candies and of course there are food trucks and stands. We had some amazing agua fresca on our last visit! There are also about a dozen booths for those of you with a green thumb! Tons of plants and flowers to purchase and some sell seeds, I believe. This is a pet friendly market with a shaded table and water bowls for you to bring your furry friends. Some pets are friendlier than others, but I've never seen anything to be worried about. I wouldn't bring any pets that aren't calm around other animals though. There are several booths with natural, organic and gluten free goodies for your pets. We got a few this last time from two booths and our dogs inhaled them. Lots of fun specialty flavors to be found, and I learned that chewing on chicken feet are apparently great for a dogs teeth. Who knew? There's also a lot for the shopaholic and those who like interesting pieces for your home decor. I saw a few booths that do jewelry, clothing, bags and quilts. I want to take a closer look at the blacksmithing, knife making, pottery and wood work. I was excited to even have those as options! Prices will vary based on the vendor and products, but with so much to explore you're guaranteed a good time! Generally the market hours are every Saturday, April through November from 9am until 1pm. However, there are currently summer hours through Labor Day of 8am to 12pm. Plan accordingly!
