The moment you walk in you feel this calm, cozy energy with the fireplace going, comfortable seating, warm lighting, and the sweetest decor touches that make it feel like someone truly cares about the space. There is even a kids corner that is adorable and so thoughtfully set up, which makes this an easy spot for families to relax and enjoy their time. I ordered the black bean and avocado quesadilla and loved that it was vegan. The flavor was great and it tasted fresh and nourishing, which is exactly what I look for when I am on the road and want something healthy. I also had a juice and it was crisp, bright, and refreshing. They clearly put intention into their ingredients because everything tasted real and clean. The staff is kind, patient, and very genuine. They take the time to explain the menu and they make you feel like you are part of the community even if you are just passing through. The whole place looks spotless from the kitchen area to the tables, which adds to the comfort of eating here. The menu has so many choices whether you want breakfast all day, bowls, smoothies, shakes, tacos, pizzas made with cauliflower crust, or their cold pressed juices. They even have a big variety of drinks including their lotus energy drinks and their beautiful smoothies. The kids menu is also thoughtful and healthy which is rare to find. This cafe is the type of business you want to see succeed. It brings something special to the area and you can tell they work hard and care about what they serve. I definitely want to come back again and hope more people discover this little gem so it can continue to thrive.

Their website is very informative so you know exactly what to expect once you arrive. The grounds are kept clean and there is plenty to see and do. Food options are slim during the week compared to the weekend, however, this is expected since more people are likely to visit on a Saturday or Sunday. They have promo codes if you purchases tkts online vs when you get there. Pricing is fair compared to other farms with the same concept. Depending on the season - Kuipers also has apple picking, pumpkin picking and a sunflower fest. This is a great family friendly place with activities for everyone to enjoy.

Before you start picking, they let you know what apples are in season. You can also buy apples already bagged, apple sweets like donuts, ciders and even flights. They had some live music going on too. If you cross the street, you can visit the other side of the farm. It was also $25 to get in. You can feed farm animals for 25 cents, watch goats, pigs, and ducks race, enjoy field games, live music, food trucks, and walk around with drinks. You can also get a stamp to return if you need to leave that area.

When it comes to apple orchards, you can do the "theme park" orchards or the "actual orchard"…read moreorchards. Jonamac is definitely the theme park version. Although you can buy tickets in advance, it doesn't save you time at the orchard. Unfortunately, you'll have to wait in line with all the people buying tickets with cash. You will save a few bucks buying online, however. The wait to get in is disappointing, but understandable. Just budget that into your timeline. When you enter, you'll pass lots of kid-friendly activities. The orchard itself is very small, and the trees are tiny. When we arrived October 7, most of the trees had been pretty well picked over. There were maybe 10 rows of apples available for picking. If you're looking specifically for apples, there are better options, like the nearby Honey Hill Orchard in Waterman. Jonamac does earn decent marks for the children's activities. There's a corn bin where your kids can play and slide. There are a couple of games inside. There's a trough where you can pump water and send rubber ducks down a chute. There's a slide and a petting zoo and one of those jumping pillows. There's a cider house, but we didn't go in because the line was out the door. Food trucks roll in around noon. The crowds really swell around that time. You can also buy pumpkins We got fresh cider and donuts from the bakery shop at the front. If you have small children, Jonamac is pretty good. If you're looking for bushels and bushels of apples, you'll probably want to go somewhere else with a more robust harvest.

Review for the Bakery - Visit on Sunday, 9/21/25…read more I visit the bakery specifically to purchase baked goods. Unfortunately, I've had consistently negative experiences with one of the staff members--an older woman who works in the bakery area. This was not my first encounter with her, and while I initially gave her the benefit of the doubt, her rude and dismissive attitude has remained the same over multiple visits. Most recently, on Sunday, 9/21, her demeanor was once again unfriendly and unwelcoming. In contrast, the younger staff members are always pleasant, attentive, and helpful, which I greatly appreciate. If you're visiting the bakery, I recommend seeking assistance from the younger team members for a better experience.
