Staff is always, incredibly friendly and willing to help. Selection & variety of products are excellent. And the store is clean & organized.

This was my first time at this grocery store, and I'm glad I did stop and shop. I'm from Miami, Florida, so I shop at Publix when I'm at home. But when I lived in Rochester, New York for 4-1/2 years, I shopped at Wegmans. This grocery store really made me feel like I was shopping there. This is really a great grocery store. The shelves are well stocked, and plenty of items to choose from. I wanted fruit, so I decided to visit here. The pineapple was so sweet, and delicious. They have a bakery, seafood department, deli and etc. My husband had been here with his friends from his job, so he knew where everything was. He love their egg rolls. Whatever kind you decide, it's packed with the meat. My husband had pork egg rolls. He bought 3 since they are delicious. The meat department is unbelievable. The steak and pork chops are huge and really fresh. They have really great sales this week, so please make sure you check out all of the items on sale. We would really like to shop here, but every time we go, we see that Fox News is the only news choice on the tvs in the seating area. We got coffee but couldn't stay, with any conscience. I wouldn't have minded if there were other news stations on to balance out the political spectrum, but HyVee must be all Red. We won't be back. read more

What a nice grocery store! Huge bakery area, deli and prepared hot foods section when you enter. It's also great that Hyvee is an employee-owned store. Would definitely shop here if I lived in Peru. read more

I recently stopped to get a bite to eat and sat down, as we do twice a week. Who I thought was my server told me I had to order outside at the counter and then go sit back down. I'm not sure why the change. If the workers are supposed to be out front then don't have an open restaurant. Service is definitely lacking because of this change. Don't get me wrong, our service was great although I do know some of my older comrades that won't be coming back because of this. It's a shame! read more

I ordered two players for delivery, two addresses. I check my credit card and no charge the next day. Called to check was told it probably went out. Called the next day. Told they'd check and call me back. No call back. Called the next day was told they don't keep records. Never charged my card. Parties never received. Dang not good. read more

This review is 2 pronged. One based on their grocery store and the other is based off their restaurant. I've been to this store 3 times to shop and the reason why this gets a 5 star review is based off their selection and pricing. Coming from Chicago (not the burbs but the city itself) I can honesty say the pricing is fair here and this store carries many brands where you don't need to go to multiple stores to get what you need. Chicago grocery stores play that game here where you'd have to make multiple stops to be able to purchase certain brands and it gets annoying. Hy-Vee doesn't not play that game so it's great. Locals say Hy-Vee is expensive and I say you pay for quality. If you can't swing Hy-Vee that's fine head over to Walmart and purchase your crappy produce. Now the 2nd prong is based off restaurant and their lovely Sunday brunch buffet. With such options as Ribs to Kielbasa to Chinese Food to a full salad bar, you cannot go wrong for $16.99. I mean there are so many options to get your money's worth for your family it's amazing! In addition, unlike most places that have buffets, it's clean and the quality of food is good and fresh! Both the wait staff and food servers are very courteous and friendly! A+!! My love for Hy-Vee has been professed. read more

Bought some pork with the expiration date 1 week from now. Went home to cook and prep (30 min total) left the package out next to me then when I opened the package a horrible rotten meat smell immediately hit my nose. Upon inspection once I flipped the piece of meat it was all bad on the bottom side. Went right back to the store n returned it.... read more

Hy-Vee pharmacy is a trigger for me thanks to a few really bad eggs. I need to know why people such as Dawn are allowed to judge us and make us feel like crap. She hangs up without answering questions one time she said can I catch a break we're busy ok. All I was asking was a pharmacy question she could of given the phone to anyone instead she hung up. I was definitely not expecting such a large and exciting (yes grocery shopping is exciting during these times) grocery store in Peru given the rather remote location of the city. I was impressed by the selection that they offered and their bakery section had some great items that I will definitely be back to try. read more

The Place Hy-Vee Market Grille, is a restaurant inside the the Hy-Vee super market. The Market Grille is separated from the super market and is its' own entity. This enabled Hy-Vee to create their own restaurant with in the store. The grille has both tables and booths. It also has a bar area which is adequately sourced with spirits, wine and beer. It is a very nice and relaxing atmosphere. The Menu/Food The Market Grille offers a complete menu with a focus on healthy offerings. The menu offers Entrees, Sides, Appetizers, Fresh Greens, Burgers, Sandwiches, Pasta, Pizza, and Flat Breads. There is also a complete breakfast offering as well as daily specials and a happy hour. We ordered egg white omelettes with spinach, peppers, onions, and mushrooms, a smart breakfast with fruit, sausage, scrambled eggs, and then an à la carte breakfast as well. These offerings were all very nice prepared and served. The Experience/Value I must admit when this venue was suggested to me I responded "are you serious" however, I was pleasantly surprised. Our food was very good, the service was excellent, and the surroundings clean and modern. The wine and meal offerings looked good as well. It's a new idea at a grocery store that I never experienced before and I really enjoyed. Oh and that have a wonderful selection of restaurants located inside if you just want a quick bite. The Sunday brunch is an excellent value. It's almost too inexpensive for what you get. One Sunday, they had prime rib on the carving station. Along with chilled peeled shrimp, crab cakes, a made to order egg station, and access to the salad bar, and the hot food selection, pizza, and Chinese food and drink, for $12. Even if half the food sucked (which it doesn't), you're still getting a good deal. The servers are very attentive and work hard to keep you happy in a very busy environment. The complaint: In each of the three times we've been there since the remodel, we always find the table that tries to launch our food across the restaurant when you put any pressure on one side. FIX THE TABLES!!! If it rocks on an axis, fix it or throw it away and get one that doesn't. I hate getting my food or drink on my clothes simply because someone touches the table the wrong way. read more

Always purchasing propane and gas and other things from them, but definitely not anymore. The propane company that delivers for them are rude and like to be condescending to their customers. I asked the truck driver that delivered propane to move up so that was parked at the gas station to move up so we could park in the handicapped spot as we have a disabled person but he wouldn't even do that. Then the propane delivery driver proceeded to make ignorant remarks and honk his horn and flip us off. Really professional, considering we asked nicely. Doesn't surprise me there's a one star review for their company. When I called Hy-Vee the manager told me their is nothing they can do. I know if my contractors were being rude to my customers I would NOT be okay with it. Whatever I'll go to a different gas station too. read more

Best spot around to get fresh groceries and health food market items. Buffet is tasty but a little iffy. A friend of mine and I were shook when we asked if they had steamed kale and rice noodles, as it was listed on the menu yet the people serving us had no idea as to what either food was. Yikes! I love Hy-Vee. They have a lot of fruits, vegetables, drinks, food and desserts. I like to buy cream filled doughnuts there once in a while, and they taste delicious. We also buy lots of soda since we own a restaurant, so we have to keep buying more soda to keep everything stocked in our drink fridge. They also have good deals, which we take advantage of by buying the sodas. It's really a great place. read more

This is the new sit down restaurant inside the HyVee grocery store. They have always had a cafeteria style eatery but this is more than that. You can do the buffet style as usual or you can sit down and order off a menu. They even have a bar now! We chose to give ordering off the menu a shot with great trepidation, honestly because it is inside a grocery store after all! I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and my hubby ordered pulled pork. Both were awesome!!!!! We were so pleasantly surprised. The service was outstanding and the new atmosphere makes you forget you are 20 feet from the produce! They have the restaurant all walled off from the store so you feel like you are in a place of its own. We will definitely come back, we want to give the Sunday brunch a try sometime. read more

If you're in the area and hungry stop in! There are a bunch of ready to eat food options including Chinese, pizza and Italian. I went with the Chinese and I was impressed with the quality. It honestly beats the Mariano's ready to eat food. I got the beef and broccoli with lo mien noodles and wow the beef was tender with great flavor all around. Portion sizes were big and the price was under $7.00. also there is a Starbucks right in the store. I'm used to Chicago suburbs supermarkets and hyvee blows them out of the water. read more

I love this store. They have a huge selection of prepared foods. From Chinese and pizza, to chicken and a full veggie/fruit bar. They also have a buffet style all you can eat that you choose from everything they have out and there is a separate enclosed eating area. I love the Hy-Vee. Employee owned means good service and people who care about their jobs. Produce is always fresh: this summer the peaches and cantalope were especially flavorful. The baked goods are delicious, and the deli has fantastic prepared meals. The Chinese food is really good, and I always see people eating at the cafe, so figure the other food must be equally good. The store is spotless. There are always lots of cashiers. The prices are low. I love that you don't need to swipe a card to get discounts (are you listening, Jewel?). One nice touch: the staff usually tape flyer coupons directly to the product on sale, so you don't even need to bring coupons to the store. read more

The Floral Dept did an amazing job working with an odd object in less than a week. I was unable to go get my arrangement due to changes I couldn't help and they brought them to me! This store is amazing, they have got some of the freshest food I have ever encountered, and they have not only a Starbucks but a full bar and restaurant inside! Half of the store is organic and over the years I have witnessed this location transform into a very respectable food Mecca. Me and my fiancé have had hard choices to make in there beer and liquor section which is literally a store within the store and the staff have always been helpful and very informative from mixed drink advice to wine connesour advice, and they have and extremely large section of craft beers, I really have nothing bad to say about this location, don't be afraid to get some fresh meat either it's all VERY GOOD! read more

I just visited this store 08/16/15 for supplies for breakfast/lunch/dinner while camping at Woodhaven Lakes and was astoundingly surprised. I live in a major metropolitan area with 8 grocery stores in a ten minute drive and this Hy-Vee outshined them all. Can you say stale. I purchased the peanut bar or a blarney stone as it is called around saint patty's day today. This thing was sooooooooooooooooooo stale it was inedible. Just because it is refrigerated does NOT mean it has an unlimited shelf life. This was for a birthday treat. Disgraceful. A certain amount of waste or spoilage is tax deductible. I won't waste my money on any baked good here again. 1 star is actually to good for this visit but I cannot give it zero. read more
