This location has free underground parking lot. It is protected from the elements and you are able to get put your groceries into the car without hassle. Going during the day is a great idea. There are also a number of security guards looking over the stores as well. It is clean, well stocked and typically there are a lot of cashiers for checking out. The produce section is pretty large and I found all the things I needed. Don't sleep on the kitchen accessories aisle, there are always some good decor there. Of course, the best part of any Aldi's is their low prices. So, stock up your cart with all the weekly groceries you need. Don't forget your cloth bags and a quarter to use the cart. read more

Any human who provided this Aldi with anything above two stars must have lived a deprived life. I am sorry. From the moment you navigate the narrow tunnel to the parking lot, to maneuvering any car larger than a Fiat into the narrow parking spaces, a potential customer is introduced to a horror of grocery shopping akin to enduring the jungles of Vietnam in 1970. Trying to retrieve a cart for your groceries is a reminder America might have seen better days. You will need a quarter to unlock your cart, and then must figure out how to free up the cart you paid for. Aldi hires people to help you, but she might be on the phone and can't take the time to assist you. Yet, you won't care, because at this particular Aldi the produce, the meat, the bread, everything, is at the lowest end possible. Only if you're suffering from famine would these groceries interest you. If you enjoy self-flagellation, you might want to shop at this Aldi. read more

The lyndale location never has enough staff to ring people up, cashier held up the line to argue over a single piece of fruit. Manager was called up to punch in a single item that the customer was correct about the whole time. She proceeded to reprimand the customer for making a purchase and security was hovering while everyone else waited in a backed up line. read more

Came here to buy my 85% dark chocolate. I like how handy this is. I had some time to kill before OUAC opened. I love the good size green onions. They were in a narrow box and a clerk helped me locate them. I got a jar of olives, marinated artichoke hearts(bigger than the ones in most markets), and salsa con queso. 4 items 7 bucks, great deal. I wish you could go out the back door after you check out. Great new aldi in uptown. Go in flexible with what you need and come out with treasures. I find the produce section to be great and the aisles that change are fun. Does my dog need bones? Yes. Does my grandmother need mittens? Yes. I don't buy meat here and the frozen food is fine but not a huge selection. Another great find are the take and bake pizzas! Several choices and so big they don't really fit in the fridge so literally take and bake. The store is new and clean. Only wish Minneapolis allowed wine sales in grocery stores as I had to forgo the advent wine calendar this year. read more

The BEST Aldi I've shopped in! I'm so happy there's an Aldi in Uptown close to my place. I stopped in this week to check it out and I was very impressed. Parking - There is free underground parking. Right now you don't need to validate. Just pull in and park. I really hope it stays this way because its always a hassle remembering to get those tiny little tickets stamped. Produce - The fruits and veggies looked nice and fresh! Most items were slightly higher priced than what I've found at other Aldi stores. Store hours - 9am to 8pm. I really wish they would stay open later. 8pm is is quite early for a grocery store to close. Overall I LOVED the store and location. It was super clean and organized! I was in and out within 15 minutes! Definitely stop by for your groceries! read more

I feel like this store is always a hit or miss when it comes to produce. Sometimes it's really fresh and plentiful but other times the shelves are a little bare and things are soft and almost stale. The location is great and the parking is a bit hard to see. It is underground. Don't forget your quarter, you grab your cart down in the garage. Gotta love the pricing too! I also love how quick and efficient the store workers are, although I do feel rushed some times. read more

Discovering Aldi on Lyndale for the first time and oh my -- ! Say goodbye to HyVee and Cub and Whole Paycheck. The low prices and variety drew me in at first, but now that I've been shopping there for several weeks, several other perks keep me coming back: Cleanliness. This store is MAINTAINED. Abundance. Aldi may not have everything, but damn! -- it packs it in Speed. Fastest cashiers ever! By the time I pull up and get out my wallet to pay, the bill is presented. Did I mention the LOW PRICES? This store has my business. Sure, I'll still head to Cub and HyVee and even Whole Paycheck for some stuff. But this store is my steady. See for yourself. read more

Aldi is a great addition to Uptown! Before Aldi, Uptown had above average grocery prices. Aldi changed that! They have a good selection of produce and meats. Cub and other stores may have a wider selection but they can't beat Aldi's prices. The fruits and veggies are fresh. I will admit I'm a big consumer of chicken breast and Aldi's is always under $2. What a deal! Before I used to wait for Cub's sales but not anymore! And the quality of the meats is comparable to Cubs so now I buy most of my protein here. Aldi might not have brand name products but if you can go for lesser known brands or generic, your wallet will thank you. Like other Aldi's, you have to deposit a quarter to use their shopping carts and they don't offer free plastic or paper bags at checkout. No a major worry. Save the planet and get a reusable bag. The store is also very organized and the workers are friendly. read more

Have to give this place a 5 star rating because of how convenient and cheap it is! For being in the heart of uptown, this Aldis has great grocery deals and the parking situation is p good. Although it's hard to turn left into Aldis (nearly impossible) once you enter the garage it's surprisingly spacious. I've never had issues finding parking at this location. The service here is also great always having the right amount of cash registers open and never too long of a wait. I wish this Aldis sold tofu more often but for how close this is to my house and shaving my groceries spending by almost a third just from switching from cub foods I'll take it! Make sure to bring your own bags and a quarter for your shopping cart as with all Aldis! :) read more

Rotting Produce! I work for a company that does corporate events, and we regularly shop at Aldi stores, so I have been to plenty Aldis in my time. I was stoked to try out this new Aldi on Lyndale and incredibly disappointed with the produce section. I shopped there on Jan 13 2020. All the baby peppers were rotting in the bags. Disgusting. I told an employee, and she just shrugged whatever. Nothing was done to remove them. Unbelievable! There was other produce that did not look good, and they were out of a couple items that most all Aldis keep in stock. In summary, the worst produce section I've ever seen in any grocery store ever. On the positive side, the underground parking lot is nice. The meat and dairy departments were good. Just heed this warning: Carefully inspect your produce before putting it in your cart at this location. read more

I usually shop at this Aldi with no complications, but this last time, my overall experience was terrible. I originally paid for and placed an order for pick up at 9am and was scheduled to pick it up around 1-2pm. I never received any updates for hours so I decided to call the store twice and no one answered. I finally went inside the store around 7pm to see the status of my order. And no one wanted to help me, they simply said they were too busy and there was nothing to be done and if I wanted a refund I would have to take that up with Instacart. The manager simply walked away from me not allowing me to ask any more questions. So I shopped for my own groceries which wasn't the problem, the problem was I was charged over $100 and was told there was nothing to be done about it. I just wished that the customer service was better :( read more

Aldi has really stepped up their game since I first started shopping there in college, and they are definitely my favorite grocery store. Everything is store brand, so you're not paying for advertising, and the products are the same level of quality that you would expect from most brands. I shop here once a week, and I am typically able to get everything on my list for about $50. Part of the fun of this location is checking out the horizontal freezers for specialty or seasonal items - if you see something you like, buy it! It might not be there next time. This place is in a great location, and there's free parking underneath it. Despite being in a bustling neighborhood, it doesn't get overly crowded; I've never seen the parking garage near capacity. The store is pretty small, but has most of the inventory you can expect from an Aldi. The only issue is the lack of employees, there are often long lines. But employees are speedy and someone is usually called to checkout when the lines get out of hand. read more

Rude employees. One with a floor sweeper who was going to continue moving through me while I was standing with my cart? I didn't appreciate the hostile look he gave me either. But, the worst one was the cashier. He started throwing my items in my cart, and I told him so. It was a cart that I rented for a quarter, and he started loading the cart with the items of the customer behind me. When the transaction was over; he wished me a nice evening, and I replied that I did not wish the same for him. So, in a loud, disrespectful, and sarcastic way he responded "Sorry!". read more
