Open for 6 years? Wow! Doesn't feel that long and yet, it is becoming a regular stop for us. I went tonight with the intent to pick up cheeses and other snacks, and was excited to see more meal offerings I hadn't noticed before in the refrigerated and frozen area. This has been my primary struggle with Aldi - ideal for snacks and sides, but it was rare to find a quick, easy meal. We have a lot on our "let's try this" list. The store continues to be organized, well stocked and cleaned. Parking is plentiful. Bags are available for purchase if you forget yours and they stash free boxes at the front of the store as well. Plenty of customers tonight and check out was quick. Don't sleep on Aldi. read more

I was not veery impressed with this store. It was not as well stocked as others I've been to. I only found one German product which was a disappointment as I expected to find it well stocked with the nice German products I seen in other stores. I think I'll forget this one and go back to my regular location. read more

Great spot to grab grocery items quickly. They offer a good selection, even though I try not to get my produce at Aldi as I found they turn bad quicker than other places. I find most of their grocery items cheaper than Kroger and better made with less dyes. read more

I enjoy some of the savings at Aldi!! What I don't enjoy is the check out. It's not a race to get people out of there. The last 5 times I was overcharged. I brought it to the cashiers attention last time. Omg it was like I was a criminal. It happened again today!! I carefully counted my items. I was overcharged by 3 items. I'll start off by saying I'm not a huge fan of Aldi. Never have been. I definitely like Aldi better than the extremely highly overrated Trader Joe's, but it's never a place I've enjoyed shopping or been driven to shop at. We decided to visit this location because a friend mentioned that Aldi had a specific item that looked REALLY good (Casa Mamita Mexican Street Corn Ravioli). Not surprisingly, we didn't find it at this location, but we decided to look around while we were there. We walked up and down all the aisles and found a couple things (Lucky find with some habañero sliced cheese and some frozen fruit blends for smoothies). The store was remarkably clean for as busy as it was and most of the items were well stocked. I don't find the prices to be remarkably better than the places we usually shop (Kroger and Meijer), and I've not really gotten into any of their house brands to know how they compare to the nationals or to other house brands (which I generally don't buy anyway). The checkout process is usually pretty quick, and the rate determining step is the bagging process because those cashiers are f.a.s.t.. If anything is going to slow you down, it'll be the bagging. I don't mind, at all, that the cashiers are sitting down, and that's something more places could embrace. I've been a cashier and if I had the option then it would have made life much easier. At the same time, charging 11¢ for a paper bag isn't something I'm really down for. I'm starting to warm up to Aldi. It'll never be my go-to shopping place, but I can see occasion trips for some items or to check out what's new. read more

Okay......so maybe I was the only one that didn't hop onto the Aldi train. I only heard people say good things about this place, but I don't really see a big deal about it. If you've ever been to Gordon Food Service, it's basically that. The inside almost looks like a replica. Aldi has such a...weird system when it comes to shopping there. In order to get a cart, you have to put a quarter in the slot on top to unlock the chain. I guess this is an interesting way to keep all the carts in one place...but I don't always have change on me and don't want to have to remember to every time I go grocery shopping. Before I even figured out how to unlock the carts, I was tugging and pulling on it until someone was watching me struggle. You could think of Aldi as a really small grocery store, or a really large convenience store. They have about enough to get the job done, but a majority of what they sell are very random items and generic brands. If you're not picky, you would like this place. I like certain brands/food items though so I had a hard time finding things that I wanted. They also don't have a big selection of healthier choices. I think the best thing about Aldi are their prices...I got a good amount of stuff for super cheap, which was awesome!! The last part of their system that irks me is after checking out. The cashier will put all of your items into another cart, while you give them yours you were using, bagless.... ?? I TOTALLY get the whole 'save the Earth with reusable bags' thing. It's awesome. But can you at least provide these at your stores?? Or paper bags?? I cannot tell you how much of a complete dumbass I looked like while people were pulling out their reusable bags while I took each item out of my cart and into the passenger seat of my car...and to carry said items into my apartment without a bag!! I don't know, I just don't really understand Aldi and their choices for groceries are not what I typically get. I prefer Kroger/Whole Foods so I'm just going to stick to that. read more

Tried Aldi several times over the years but just didn't get the hype. Years later and we do the budgeting system and Aldi comes up on our discussion boards Daily. Ok I give in and go check them out! Walk in to a clean, well lit store. Employees all around working non stop. We tried the taco and cheese pizza. Both great - the cheese only didn't reheat good. Bread was fresh. Holiday week and the meat department had been attacked already. We grabbed a few packs of sausage to try another time. The potato wedges were seasoned and cooked up very nice. Best item to me was the cookie ice cream sandwich with chocolate chips. Delicious!! Needless to say - I blew the budget on this trip lol! But it was good and worth it! We have already been back three times. read more

The love of my *grocery shopping* life. I switched to this location from the Westport Rd. location after it was built. I come from out of town (Shelbyville) to shop here biweekly and it's closer! This store is set up like every other Aldi's. It's organized and always super clean. The bathrooms are pristine. That matters to us parents of young kiddos who like to touch EVERYTHING. The cleanliness isn't what keeps me making my biweekly trek to my favorite German grocery chain though... it's the prices! You can't beat most of their prices. I've been super excited about this location opening. The store is very big and full of great things to buy. There weren't as many organic options as I had hoped, but they had plenty of other great surprises like almond creamer. The service here was underwhelming, but it's only their first week being open, so maybe the employees are worn out. I'm glad to have another grocery option nearby since a couple places have closed. My first in store grocery trek in over a month, as have been using Walmart grocery pick up primarily. Kroger Click-list just couldn't keep it together so abandoned that after several chaotic times. I hoped that by going around 2:30 p.m I'd miss the morning & evening grocery store crowd. This Aldi location did the trick! Upon arrival a grocery store attendant was wearing gloves outside the entrance and sanitizing each cart handle then handing a cart to each customer. Arrows were on each aisle showing to enter one way through the aisle for one way customer traffic. A few employees were unpacking boxes of groceries and had gloves and masks on. There were maybe 10-15 total shoppers in the store during my 30-40 minute shop. I too wore a protective mask and had hand gel to use. I was able to get the fresh produce desired, the limit if 2 on eggs and milk, Taco Bell brand taco kits (teens happy!), our favorite salsa the medium garlic salsa (co workers request it as gifts!), flour, sugar, some frozen items, & small batch delicious gourmet style ice cream. Every item on my list & several that weren't were available. No huge bare shelves. My checkout total for a very full cart was the cheapest total I've had since doing the online grocery orders with pick ups. I'm a huge fan of Aldi, they are the main... if not only... major grocer I saw throughout Ireland (the store's there are huge and carry so many European goods!). I like Aldi's double your money back guarantee on their branded items if you find one you don't like. I've only utilized that guarantee twice in many years of loyal Aldi shopping. So many organic items available, and the only area fairly picked over was the fresh meats section. There was still a decent amount to choose from though. Signage about staying 6 feet back while waiting your turn to check out was displayed. The checkout cashier wore mask & I think wore gloves also. Had a plexiglass type divider up at checkout. Yes, you box or bag your own groceries at Aldi! I'm happy to do so as that's the case anyway 90% of the time at Kroger‍ It keeps costs lower & that passes on to us customers. I still am enjoying doing online grocery orders & drive up pick ups during this Covid 19 crisis. But was glad that my first in store outing was at an uncrowded time & Aldi employees were taking actions for safety. OH ALDI, HOW I ADORE THEE. I am not going to lie, I was beyond excited to know an Aldi was coming into my neighborhood, especially right next to one of my other favorite shops here in town, Barnes and Noble. Aldi always has a close place to my heart, due to the reduced prices of all the items and the awesome variety! They have everything that a grocery store would typically offer, and some household items as well. This store in particular is very nice and spacious! Super neat and clean! It definitely still has that new store smell. ;) The staff has also been super nice and friendly, which is always a plus for me! If you want something a little different than your typical grocery store, try out Aldi! read more

Like any ALDI, it will satisfy some needs but not all. You can't really go here expecting to do a full shop, but if you need to fill some obvious gaps (fruit, milk, cereal), then this is a good spot to go. The store is small enough to navigate easily, and the lines at the cash register are generally pretty short and quick moving. read more

Not going to lie, I was hesitant to check Aldi out. I had been to a couple previously years and years ago. I wasn't impressed back then. However a coworker of mine kept telling me they're much nicer and larger now. He informed me that there was a new one opening up on Hurstbourne which is relatively close to where I live. I have been trying to cut down on my spending so decided to go and check it out. I was actually quite impressed with what I found here. The store being new it is very clean and organized. I had to remember to take a quarter along for the cart and my own bags. This may be inconvenient to some, but I think it is a good thing that they do this. The prices here are a lot cheaper compared to a lot of places like Kroger and Meijer, the only downside is they don't have as many options as they do. That being said I do have to go elsewhere to get a couple items, but they have all the main staples I need like milk, bread, fresh fruits, and fresh vegetables. I personally don't buy organic BUT the prices here on organic are cheaper than elsewhere and are more closely comparable to non organic items at Kroger. Aldi carries mostly their own brands which most I have tried have been pretty good, but they do have some name brand items that come in and out of the store. Overall I highly recommend checking out Aldi. I only gave them 4 stars because of the smaller selection of items compared to other grocery stores. read more

I loved this store before they started adding junk instead of food. We shop for groceries and don't want to buy household goods. The value is good but the quality of the food is going downhill. Why can't they just stick to good fresh foods? Reminds me of an old to.e Rose's now and not a grocery store. C'mon Aldi's, you can do better!!!! read more

We've been long time shoppers at ALDI. The new location is great. Wider aisles and much cleaner/newer store. The set up of products is a little different than the other stores in town, so it might take a few more minutes to find what you're looking for. The website says they have wine at this location, but we have yet to see any. read more

I'm an still so mad at the gentleman (Daren) at the checkout counter on Monday. He was not helpful at all. I've never bought as much as I did that day so my basket was full but I organized it pretty well. I had 61 items: the soft goods first then can goods(which I had in 2 boxes and then other miscellaneous. I had planned on putting all the first items in a large bag I brought. He started just throwing all the items in the cart and then threw the can goods on top busting several bags on the bottom. When I asked him to stop being so rough he replied"This is how we do it here". Well I'm sure your not taught to be rude and break and crush the items customers are purchasing! I will not be back to this location! I should have just left and left it all for him to clean up. I can spend my &122.23 someplace else!! I'm mad mad mad! A brand new Aldi close to where I run other errands - love it. Since it's new it's very sparkly clean and they have great products right now especially the Aldi finds! I found SO many of my daily essentials here. Produce looked fresh as well as the meat, so that's a win in my book. They had so many products that are usually VERY pricey at your average grocery store. I got a large bag of frozen fruit for $1.85 and another for around $3 - Kroger is usually about $8 for that size bag. I also found a bag of hemp hearts for I think $3? And that is usually $6-8 at other stores as well. I also found Schlafly beer there! What a find! I had to purchase my peanut butter elsewhere though, as every one they had contained additional additives such as oil and sugar. Just be sure to check ingredients to make sure it contains or does not contain things in it you may or may not want. I can't typically get EVERYTHING at Aldi but I can definitely get the majority of my shopping done there for a fraction of the price. read more
