As with other Aldi's, you can go through a whole visit not interacting with a single employee, even at check out. The closest I had to employee interaction was a roomba-like vacuum beeping at me to get out of its way. (Not very customer-centered technology, huh?) The lack of employee interaction doesn't bother me too much, but it'd be nice for employees to say hello or ask if you need help when they inevitably pass by you in the store. Maybe that's too Midwestern a mindset? Anyway, one thing at local Aldi's that really stresses me out are the phones! I worked at a call center with the exact same ring, so every time I hear the phones, it really freaks me out. This isn't their fault obviously, BUT I shouldn't be able to hear clear ringing from across the store. No exaggeration, you could be anywhere in the store and hear this ringing clearly. I think there are enough employees at the front that there's no need to have the phones THAT loud. Recommendations: their prosciutto and goat cheese. This location sadly didn't have any of the honey goat cheese, but the garlic and herb is our favorite. These are great quality, reasonable prices, and an Aldi's staple.

I even had a cashier give me tips on Bruschetta, which turned out wonderful. I love that they are improving their organic areas. Management listens to you when you bring up ideas or concerns. Management is almost always visible helping employees and customers alike, and approachable at all times by customers. I have never felt once like I was bothering them when I approached them. I even felt bad once as I knocked on the office and he was eating his lunch, but upon seeing me was up and at the door to talk immediately. I offered to come back another time, but he refused and heard my suggestion. (Mirror on the south entrance for safety). The prices are fair, specials are clearly marked and their merchandising crew is spot on. I go various times throughout the week and usually shop there 2-4 times a week, and the staff is always friendly and helpful when approached. The fuel perks are a bonus and even out the costs if you were to shop Walmart or Meijer, but the service is way better than any grocery store I've been to. I would also like to give a special thanks to the ladies in the deli, as they are some of the most amazing people. I pack my lunch for work every day, and these women are the reason I eat so well. They help me find the most nutritious and healthy meats for my lunches. They even recognized that I was getting Vermont white cheddar cheese sliced all the time, so they started pre slicing it and having it ready for me when I came in. Seriously, good luck finding service like this anywhere. I have been coming to this Giant Eagle since the day it opened and I am glad they came to Groveport.

I was not familiar with Bexley Natural Market but saw from the Too Good Eats website that the market carried them so off I went exploring. Parkign lot is limited and that area of Cassady Avenue was a little busy but I was able to get in and out ok and find a spot to park. The staff interaction was ok but REALLY missed an opportunity to sell the market and what they are about. I had asked about the membership and the bland explanations really didn't say much at all and the interaction was not very inviting and kind of dismissive. I would have been happy that some new traffic came in and showed an interest. Anyway, the market offers all kinds of items from produce, vegan options, natural drinks, and grocery items. It appears the main focus is supporting local farmers and vendors in the area. I will come back and take another look around but was super happy they had the drinks I liked. If interested- I found online that the membersip is $30 one-time payment and annual dues of $45 that provides 5% to 8% off and monthly coupons & promotions valued at $100 a year in savings. The deli and meat department are also top-notch. And there is an enormous bulk nuts and candy section where you can measure out your favorite selections and bag them. Fresh Thyme is really a unique shopping experience for groceries and even though I live close to the center of Columbus, it is well worth making the drive to come here for the quality & variety of healthy food that is available!

Bags weren't over or under stuffed.... Everything just fit perfectly within the bags without items being squished or packed with items that they shouldn't be packed with. (Ie: meat with fruit. First off, the vibe here is very old-school early-1970s local neighborhood store. Its stock is...well...jumbled. It's got lawn items & clothing & dishware & ...automotive??...& whatnot on one side, food on the other, and not very clear sections. I mean, the sections are *marked*, but after finding certain specific items in at least five different & separate sections -- they need some serious organizational help. I normally don't mind scavenger hunts, but not in a store where I'm trying to get what I need and go home. Selection is basic (someone in another review compared it to Aldi's, but it's not as organized as Aldi's), though with a lot of name brands. Everything is pre-packaged; no bulk items (save candy) and limited selection of those. However, to the good, there were surprises: they've got a decent amount of sugar-free, organic, & international items (chorizo!), the produce section was well-stocked & fresh, and they had a lot of local/ohio-made items. The biggest "to the good" was the pricing: it was easily MUCH cheaper than Kroger's. So if you don't mind a bit of disorganization, definitely give this place a try!
