Raspberry and strawberry I can't decide. I'll take both thank you. Walked away with a bag of apples, spinach and cheese bread, popcorn weeds and cross sweet buns. I was told this event will be held outside once the weather gets warmer and that it will be much bigger. So do yourself a solid and be sure to keep a watch out for this event.

I ordered a pistachio cheesecake latte, a sprinkle strawberry cookie, a strawberry breakfast bar and a feta, sausage & spinach quiche. Coffee was amazing, not to sweet, plenty of flavor and a great start to my morning. The slice of quiche was impressive and it was delicious after warming up and enjoying at work. The breakfast bar had no chance and was eaten as soon as I left the establishment and got in my car to leave. The cookie went to my daughter who had no problem devouring it and she thought it was so cute. No complaints everything was great. Overall just the cutest establishment, with lots to offer. Service was good and prompt and the ladies helped me decide on food that morning and got me up to speed quickly with the options they had available and that sold the most. Upon opening at 8am there wasnt many people and I was able to browse and order quickly as well. Cutesy find right by work that I will be visiting more often and already boasted about to others.

Still, I had a good first-time visit. We checked out almost all of the booths and sampled several spots, settling on popcorn from Tasha's Carmel Corn. I purchased the Peanut Butter Cup, but I easily saw myself emptying my pockets to buy everything else I tasted. We stopped by Sarah's Sweets, where I tried various chocolates. The real winner to me was the coconut. Very sweet, but a dream for coconut fans. Another great spot was Allison's Challah, who sells Traditional Jewish Bread. It was flavored with honey and I can just see myself trying all kinds of combinations with it. Even though it was the final day of the season, I was delighted to learn that they will begin the "winter season" market, next door, next Thursday (Oct. 5)! Being the first one for the season, I'm sure it should have full attendance from the vendors so I'll be back and will let you know what I thought.

Due to…read moreconstruction and renovations at City Hall, the market relocated to the parking lot of Co-Hatch on S State Street (near door to the post office) for last year and this year. They are supposed to return to the parking lots behind City Hall next year. The market includes a wide selection of meats, fruits and vegetables and a nice variety of vendors. The market is very popular and attracts a real crowd on Saturday mornings. Great place to find a wide variety of farm fresh produce, vegetables and meat.

The ambiance is very family friendly, dog friendly and includive. Great vibe! It has gotten considerably larger since they moved it to the big public lot behind Jimmy V's. The market was celebrating its 10th anniversary and was giving out free reusable sacks to every person/family that entered, which was a nice bonus! Our small dog, Loki was given his pre market pep talk (by his humans) of no barking and no fighting with the big dogs or taking ice cream out of babes hands.... He promised to be on biscuits best behavior. There were plenty of dogs there.... Loki was happy about that. Kids werent off the rails here, that was nice. However, people need to realize not every dog wants a human, kid or big dog to surprise it to say hello without asking its owner first. there may or may not of been a bit of barking at that occasion. Lol. There was a nice selection of vendors. Many local farmers. Good selection of freshly butchered meats. We left with some lamb, Tulip Cafe desserts and a dozen pierogis from our most fav vendor "Sweet Cle-bus" I have to give the vendor, Tulip Cafe, big props. Seldom do I think a cookie is worth 3 dollars let alone four... but their nutella cookie is completely worth it. I would of been buying this often and by the dozens if my kids were still little. Its the perfect amount of sweetness and you just feel better about it being made with Nutella vs chocolate. Would of had a close up picture for you all but I ate it and did not and would not share. The best part, however - is the flavor of the incredible fresh produce. We bought eggs, sweet corn & tomatoes. Best tasting corn we've had in a long time - (good thing we bought a bunch for freezing) and beautiful fat tomatoes!!! It'll be hard to go back to buying at the grocery store now. We'll be back! :)

Virginia when the winter gets colder to maintain their stock and tomatoes are brought in from Georgia and Florida. I am a firm believer that good food is all about good ingredients and I am constantly underwhelmed by the selection and quality of the produce at my nearby Giant Eagle on whittier street and trendy Kroger's in the Brewery District. This week at Evelyns I got some of the biggest and hardy sweet potatoes for just .79 a pound and equally delicious tomatoes for 1.99 a pound. I also had my eye on the abundant and fresh supply of sweet onions, zuchinni, cabbage, and squash. Again the quality is superior to local grocers and prices are competitive. If you are not familiar with this part of town it can be tricky to find, south on parsons avenue just beyond the old schottensteins. The address is Marion rd but it is not marked, You will see E. Barthman on the west side, and Evelyn's is on the opposite side. Hours are Mon-Saturday 9:00-5:30 from Dec-March and 9:00-5:30 Mon-Sun April-November. I often call ahead to see what they have each week. I am never disappointed!

Most of their produce is signficantly cheaper than what you could get at Kroger or Giant Eagle, and more inpressive in quality. The staff is very nice and eager to help you. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for fresh produce. I live a good ten miles away and I still drive over to Evelyn's regularly. Its worth it!

Deborah and I met three of the seven generations that own and run this farm. We selected sweet corn, potatoes, squash, watermelon, and heirloom tomatoes. The sweetest corn I have even eaten and the tomatoes were excellent by themselves or in my BBLT. This is definitely a "go back to" location
