Tart yet sweet.. Like an awesome natural sweet tart. We picked over 7lbs, which is easy to do with all the varieties. It's supposed to be $4/ lb 1-10 lbs and once you hit over the 10lb mark its $3/ lb. Best, tastiest cherries around and it's an experience for sure!! The family has enjoyed picking cherries here, some of the best sweet, dark cherries ever. It was disappointing though to pull in and see so many signs - IN ALL CAPS - with rules. I'm not a farmer, and maybe they've had a theft problem, but to honest people like myself, it was a bit cringeworthy. AND there is an admission charge for anyone older than TWO. I deduced this fee came about because families with many children were arriving and perhaps the Orchard was losing money via eaten-not-paid-for cherries? The $5 will be credited against your produce picked. Then you have a wrist band attached to you that is cut off after your purchase. No backpacks. No diaper bags. No bare feet (ok that's fine). And more. It just took the wind out of my sails to be greeted by signage of rules and docked with an admission fee. The employees were cheerful and attentive. Clean pails and giant plastic bags to line the buckets were ready for our fruit to go in. A nice utility wagon helped with the haul. After, there was a hand washing station and sanitizer available. The dark cherries were truly delicious. Most found their way into several homemade pies.
