This is a great experience if you are looking for some variety in your apple picking. The employees…read moreare fabulous and super knowledgeable. You get on a wagon pulled by a tractor and they drop you off to pick your choices of apples. I love that they don't spray year round and they only treat at the beginning of the season and only for the pest(s) identified. They don't use a generic pesticide and generally seem to be environmentally conscious. I also love that they allow you to sample the apples Great little family orchard. Rock on Whittier!

Cute little store barn, with apples already bagged for a quick grab and go! Donuts, cider, veggies and popcorn available to purchase. Some craft items like signs for purchase too. They have a tractor with a wavy that takes people out to a specific area to pick different types of apples. They have things working very smoothly here, if a sign is on the ground that row of apples is not ready to be picked. A sign is up telling you all the details about that apple... it's ready to be picked. There were a good number of people picking apples with us but everyone is spaced out very nicely. Tried a few apples and they were crisp and sweet ... feels like fall is here! Back on the wagon up to the barn, where they have these cute old fashioned scales to weigh your apples and pay. Very cute experience that we all enjoyed.

We have been coming to Bittner Singer Orchards for several years now. Beautiful orchard across from…read morebeautiful Lake Ontario. The family has enjoyed picking cherries here, some of the best sweet, dark cherries ever. It was disappointing though to pull in and see so many signs - IN ALL CAPS - with rules. I'm not a farmer, and maybe they've had a theft problem, but to honest people like myself, it was a bit cringeworthy. AND there is an admission charge for anyone older than TWO. I deduced this fee came about because families with many children were arriving and perhaps the Orchard was losing money via eaten-not-paid-for cherries? The $5 will be credited against your produce picked. Then you have a wrist band attached to you that is cut off after your purchase. No backpacks. No diaper bags. No bare feet (ok that's fine). And more. It just took the wind out of my sails to be greeted by signage of rules and docked with an admission fee. The employees were cheerful and attentive. Clean pails and giant plastic bags to line the buckets were ready for our fruit to go in. A nice utility wagon helped with the haul. After, there was a hand washing station and sanitizer available. The dark cherries were truly delicious. Most found their way into several homemade pies.

Tart yet sweet.. Like an awesome natural sweet tart. We picked over 7lbs, which is easy to do with all the varieties. It's supposed to be $4/ lb 1-10 lbs and once you hit over the 10lb mark its $3/ lb. Best, tastiest cherries around and it's an experience for sure!! We stopped at the NY Beer project for a late lunch on the way home! Go Cherry picking at Singer Farms! DO ITTT!!!
