I took off work just so I could arrive at the farm just after opening today and there were many people picking strawberries only 10 - 15 minutes after opening. You pick strawberries at $2.99/lb - how can you go wrong? It took me about 35 - 45 minutes to fill my flat. Strawberries were plentiful. I must have been in the area of the parcel that had been picked before as the size of the berries seemed smaller than what I had hoped for. My thoughts were confirmed when I was at the checkout building as the gentlemen in the line next to me had huge Jewel strawberries that were gigantic compared to what I was able to pick. Oh well, these berries will taste just fine in a pie, on shortcake, over ice cream or cheesecake, in bread, muffins, or scones, just to name a few.

picker beware!…read more Yesterday I was picking apples and fell into an extremely large hole. So large that only my chest and head were sticking out. As a result today I cannot walk. Today I called to speak with somebody spoke with Lynn McQueen. I shared my story and she pretty much brushed me off. Basically saying that it was a large property and they had a hard time taking care of it. She didn't ask how I was feeling nor that she was sorry that I was hurt. There was no human comfort or care. Extremely disappointed. And I am in pain Pick at your own risk. They don't care if you get hurt. They are more worried about how big they are and that they can't take care of their entire property
