How can you not love Aldi. It's been my go to store for years. Prices are great and check out is often too fast. No complaints here :)

I've been to this store a number of times, and I like the selection of organic foods. I'm not someone who strictly buys organic, but they have a decent selection for when I feel like "going organic." They also have non brand name items that are pretty decent. Like any store, they carry the artificially processed crap, so just read the labels before you buy. Their pricing is very very good. A dozen eggs for .69?? Not organic eggs, but still a very good price. Wine selection and beer selection is pretty good as well. If you like Prosecco, I recommend the yellow label Prosecco. Very good and only 7.99. Overall I'm very pleased with this store. read more

This third time I have purchased items, where food is being sold few days before the expiration date. Example, last week bought Parkview hot dogs, it has expiration date June 24. Today June 22, is not open and it is puffed up. Using the product is out Gasing and it is a very bad sign. I wouldn't feed this to my dog, he loves hotdog treatment, but this crap. This twice, I bought lunchmate product and both case expiration date was four weeks out from the date of purchase. One week later, I open the package and ham turn GREEN spots all over, not a good, food has gone bad. Yes, Aldi honored their double money back guarantee. All this happens one year later, after opening, and has been problematic more so in last 6 months. Is the problem the product keep at correct temp? Is the product mislabeled fir date? It seems management DOES NOT CARE and Cheap price will keep people coming in. I good with double money back, how long will this stay in place? read more

This place is awesome!!!! Produces are at a reasonable price. The store is clean! Place a quarter to rent a shopping cart, and you'll get your quarter back when you return your cart! Genius!!!!! That saves so much money on bring a cart attendant. That's why groceries are at a good price. I'm coming back! I went to Aldi's yesterday and found that Magdalena has been there since day one and is a joy to have her check my items out. She is never not in a good mood. Quite an asset for Aldi's! I like this grocery store. Produce is always fresh. The range of items they carry, groceries and other stuff is nice. The prices are fantastic. For the most part, they are even cheaper than Walmart. I have tried a good bit of their branded products and most have yet to disappoint and saves even more money. The staff is friendly and have always been more than helpful when I have needed something. Location is central, easy to get in and out of, and they have a huge parking lot. I love the coin operated carts. Keeps people from leaving them all over the parking lot and keeps them in good shape. This review is going to be about THE GOOD, THE BAD and THE UGLY of the new ALDI in Corona. THE GOOD: The place is clean and well stocked, plus prices are pretty reasonable. There were a lot of items such as flatbread, almond milk, couscous, cheese, yogurt, cereal and more that were priced quite lower than most grocery stores in the area. The fruits and veggies looked fresh and their prices were fair as well. THE BAD: Limited brands. This seems to be a place where they push their own brand sort of like Trader Joes. The problem with this is that they don't have nearly enough variety. Also, I'm a vegan. They had very little vegan items to offer as well as a small variety of gluten free items. They really just don't offer enough vegan stuff to make me want to shop here often. THE UGLY: Customer service is abysmal. I have been to this location twice and both times customer service was bad. The cashiers are loud and rude. They also rush you through the line. They don't bag your items here, which is fine, but when I was in the middle of bagging the cashier in a very loud voice told me to move my cart to the side and bag away from the line. When she told me this she physically pushed my cart, bumping the cart into my hip. Another cashier I experienced yelled down the line at another customer while he was helping me. He was moving so quickly I could not even take the time to see if the prices were popping up correctly. I also cant stand the cart system, but that is another rant for another day. Just very inconvenient. One funny thing to add is not once have I seen a manager walking around. I would think with a store being so new a manager would be walking around checking up on things and greeting customers...Just something I think I should have seen. I may visit ALDI again but if I do, it wont be very much. They just don't have much to offer and customer service is a big thumbs down. read more

I have been a waiting to try Aldi for months!! And let me tell you, we won't ever shop elsewhere. First of all .25 cent avocados & parking lots with not a cart in sight! Yes you need a quarter to get a cart. Great! An extra 30 seconds of your life to keep costs low (I approve) Also they have everything you need to make food! Lol no brand names. No chia seed pudding that is organic gluten free whatever craziness. It has your basics and at very low costs. There's a line and no one there to ring you up. Then Esther comes hobbling over. She was busy talking to a coworker. Then she puts my stuff in a cart, I dunno why when I could have easily grabbed my items and held them..so I was going to take the cart back and she yells at me saying she needs the cart...ok then don't put my stuff in it. I am so pleased that we finally have an Aldi store in Corona. I went there on opening day and twice since (last this past Thursday when also a CCC member was shopping there with his wife). We all know a good deal when we see it! I have found the employees to be plentiful and very helpful. A credit to Aldi that their cashiers can sit down in their stores. The mayorityof their produce is organic and cheaper then regular produce at supermarkets. I fail to understand people's complaints about their house brands being offered. Aldi is a huge international company with obviously excellent quality control, and, for consumers a money back guarantee on products they dislike. Since opening and as of Thursday they also had the premium brand of Coffee Bean and Tealeaf (usually higher then Starbucks in supermarkets) at $ $ 5.99 per 12 oz. pack. Me specializing in the perishable industry, representing Insurers for a living in the last 25 plus years, quality is the point. Seems Aldi gets it! Among the things i buy: Sweet butter ($ 1.99) versus waiting for $ 3.50/pound sale supermarket; Swiss Miss type little triangle cheese; Brie cheese; whole milk; pesto sauce; smoked salmon; prosciotto and import salami etc. etc. Each and every one of these items $ 2.00 to $3.00 less then supermarkets and for pesto sauce much more then that. 12 oz. frozen packages of vegetables are 99 cents. 12 oz. glass jars of white peeled asparagus at $ 1.69/each (Quick German recipe: drain half the fluid out, substitute with red wine vinegar, a pinch of salt, a pinch of sugar, shake up and let sit for a bit - perfect German asparagus salad - side dish for 2). I certainly wish the likes of the Albertsons, the Vons, the Stater Bros. etc. well - but for the sake of local families, some dealing with the commute stress daily and high tolls, i am sure glad that both a ALDI and WINCO are in town. read more

I come here consistently and don't always get asked for my ID when I'm with someone who's buying it. Tonight me and my GF came to buy beer and because I didn't bring my wallet (had my card stolen so I don't have money) we couldn't buy it.. Even though she was buying and is 33 years old. So we went all the way back home grabbed my ID and come back. This time my GF stayed in the car and just gave me her card. I looked for the drinks and they hadn't been put back yet. So I asked them and they were sitting together by the entrance just starring at me. And then say "well it's passed 2 anyways so we can't sell it anymore".. THANKS FOR WASTING MY TIME AND GAS FOR YOU TO JUST TO SIT ON YOUR ASS. Btw shouldn't you ask for ID all the time and not just at night? It's worse to sell during the day when there's more people on the road. Also what's the point of having an age requirement to drink if everyone in the group has to be 21? Not everyone drinks.. if I was under 21 or even 18 then how would a 40 year old be able to drink? Would we have to leave the kids in the car? Just cus children don't have ID? Doesn't make sense. First and last time at an ALDI. Customer service is the last thing on the mind of people at this store. My groceries were thrown in a cart, meat on top of vegetables. I prefer to juice my vegetables when I get home. When I asked why this was happening I was told that I was supposed to bag my own groceries. Again, first time here. To say the checker talked down to me is an understatement. I followed up with their customer service number and received a call from the district manager who explained ALDI is about efficiency and this would explain my experience with the store. That is an interesting business model and I wish them luck. Without customers a business doesn't survive. I won't be back for their "efficient customer service". read more

Went to go check it out the day it opened since I had never been to an Aldi before. I didn't really know what to expect but they have a mix of their brands and a few popular known brands. You need a quarter to use a shopping cart and you get your quarter back when you return the cart. You also have to bag your own groceries at a counter after you pay. This is all part of how they keep prices lower and on the plus side they try to get the checkout lines moving quickly. Some good deals were a pack of strawberries for 89 cents and avocados for 25 cents. I was surprised to find Halo Top ice cream for $3.89 but I think it was an "ALDI find" meaning it is a premium item only sold in stores for a limited time. They also sell some household items such as outdoor decor, lawn and garden (I'm sure it's seasonal), pet items, cleaning supplies, etc. The store is also on the smaller side since they keep the selection of items very minimal. I don't remember seeing small baskets so make sure to bring your reusable shopping bags. read more

Finally a store closer to home and I'm glad. This store is so big and spacious, the produce section is organized nicely and laid out so it's easier to shop. Also the meat section is longer and the isle is wider, so there's more room to shop. The selections were well stocked and the cashier noticed my bag of tomatoes weren't the best and called for a replacement, I appreciated the special attention to detail. I've never had a bad experience and I've shopped at all the stores in the I. E. I am a faithful Aldi customer and love shopping here. read more

I've gone to this store several times and must say I am quite impressed. The prices are actually very reasonable, the aisles are wide and nicely spaced, it's well lit and the employees are quite friendly. I like that it's not a huge and overwhelming store like most of them are, sometimes you really don't need the gigantic Walmart or Winco's experience. I am a physician and sometimes just want to pick up a few things without going to a major market because I am wiped out. The quarter to get a basket idea is absolutely brilliant, you don't see the carts strewn all over the lot or worse in someone's yard. this store is getting a 1 star for its policy on items that are over charged at checkout. i was over charged by more than 50% on a item. i realized it once i checked my receipt in my car before i left the parking lot. i went in waited in line again and was only refunded the difference they made the mistake, waisted my time and wouldn't gibe the courtesy of just giving me the item. becky the store manager told me the store policy is to only refund the diffence $$ no matter how inconvenient it is for the customer to have to come back into the store, wait in line and point out the error. shame on aldi and it's over charging it's customers. read more

Horrible place they charge $0.25 for the shopping cart who does that are they that greedy as soon as I seen that I got back in the car and head to stater bro. Please have some respect to your customer. Most of people don't even carry cash or change anymore. How am I suppose to carry my groceries without a shopping cart. Love Aldi's...have been reading some of the other reviewers and I can't believe the nit picking....and this is not the cousin of Trader joes, this is the brother of Trader Joe's. The headquarters in Germany...That's why you don't recognize the name brands that you are looking for. Not even Trader joes has name brands. They have their own brands. I love things from Europe. I can tell you I bet these brands they have are much healthier than u.s. products. What I would pay for in Stater Bros. is cut right in half in Aldi's, Avocado's 39 cents, Banannas 33 cents , everything much cheaper. I even bought a pair of black boots that I just love. I am sold on Aldi's. I do love Trader Joes, but it is too far and I love Sprouts whenever I feel like splurging. Today was my first time shopping at an ALDI store. The store is about the size of a Trader Joe's and has mostly off-brand items. Several items that I purchased taste exactly like the name brand item that I usually buy...but for a cheaper price. The store was clean, well-stocked, and the employees were all very friendly. There was even an employee there to show us how the quarter method for the shopping carts worked. I think I will just leave a quarter in my car to ensure that I always have one. Definitely will shop at ALDI again. read more

I would like to respond to Mike W's review. I have been a loyal customer since Aldi opened in corona. I've been staying with my daughter that lives in corona and I'm loving Aldi here. The staff goes above and beyond to take care of any issues and treat me very well. I was there when Mike W was shopping. Let me just say he was very rude and very cocky with the employee. Also knowing who the store manager is, because she gave a wonderful speech on grand opening, That wasn't the store manager he was being a jerk to. The employee was very nice to him, and tried to accommodate the problem. But he insisted he wanted all of his groceries for free. I mean come on no one does that. Easy parking, very low prices, and everything seemed high quality. I'll keep coming back as friendly staff, high quality makes for a winning addition to north Corona- Norco. The idea of a quarter deposit for a cart is an English import that helps keep the lot clean. I like it. read more

I tried it once and thought it wasn't for me. After comparing prices, I have changed my mind. There are a few things that I can get at a better price than even Sam's Club without buying a ton of it. Butter, canned goods, bakery, cheese are a few of the items I found at a better price. The quality of the private label is very good. More and more stores are paring down national brands for private label, so I see not difference in quality. Yes, the choices are limited, you bag your own groceries and the quarter to get a basket is annoying, but the trade-off is worth it. They also have mark-downs for slow moving or short-coded items that are a great buy if you catch it right. Last time I was in, I was able to purchase premium center cut bacon at $1.60 per pound. It was vacuum packed so it was easy to freeze. One day hot dog buns were 10¢ a package. So if you have the time and on a budget, Aldi can supplement your regular shopping very well. I still shop Stater Bros., but not for the items mentioned above. I also like the interesting non-foods items they offer. read more
