I like this Aldi a lot due to the location being close to my home and it tend to have everything I need for spices, bread and veggies. This is a busy location that serve many people a day. The store is clean and quiet, and you can use inventory boxes if you did not bring a bag. Just recycle it after. I saved so much money coming here for groceries. I do not have to worry about not having enough money They do have a single checkout line, but the self-checkouts are plentiful. I am a get in and out person, so I appreciate that. 5 stars! read more

This Aldi's usually is a good place to go to. Some of the workers need to take a shower and put on deodorant, but they are very nice people. Today was a very horrible day, I could have reacted a little different. A customer didn't use the stick to separate the items. The person in front of me was struggling with their food items. I excused myself and put the stick in between so we all can put our items on the conveyer. Sadly the stick flew out my hand and the girl in front of me started yelling at me. so I told her off. The security guard came and yelled at me only, so he got told off as well. I don't know what happened to him but he disappeared. The cashier tried yelling at me as well but she got told off as well. No one tried to find out the problem but they only yelled at one person. I feel that all of that could of been resolved if they would have talked to both of the people who were arguing. Very unprofessional, neither the security guard or cashier know how to problem solve. The woman behind me thanked me and told me to have a blessed day. Came in for a cashier interview. Never saw a bigger disaster in my life. The store leader is completely clueless. 25 people standing at the front end, in the customers way, each waiting our turn to talk to him for 4 minutes. During my 4 minutes, he was distracted, didn't listen to anything I said and even gave me a complelty wrong answer for a question I asked him. I don't think any of these 25 people got a fair shake and the person to get the job is going to be whatever person the store leader can vaguely remember. "Why don't I shop here more often?" This is the phrase I find myself saying every time I walk out of this ALDI. Seriously?! What's not to love? Ok, ok. We all know that you need a quarter to use a shopping cart, you gotta bag your own groceries, and they charge for shopping bags. But honestly, all three of these points can be flipped into a positive. The shopping carts aren't as crappy as those found at other grocery stores (big pet peeve), you can bag how YOU want and use less bags, and you're saving the environment by using less single-use plastics. See, that was easy! The best part about ALDI is definitely the prices. You can get a variety of great, quality stuff and for the fraction of the cost. The have produce, dairy, meats, frozen items, things like paper towels and things for the house, etc. At this location the staff is always friendly, it's kept pretty clean and organized, and there's plenty of parking out front. The lines can get a little long depending on when you go, but they try their best to go fast. I highly suggest stopping here before your Kroger, Giant Eagle run. read more

I rate 4 stars because the prices and selection are very nice, but the overall atmosphere is not great. I figure Aldi's doesn't assign employees outside of the store as much as others because of their quarter-for-a-buggy system (which I love) but the conditions of the outside were very unpleasant for an entrance. Right behind the carts, there was something on the ground that I tried not to look too hard at; either food or vomit. It was right where the carts were, and if you weren't looking, you'd step right through it. I was inside the store for at least 30 minutes, and this was still there upon leaving. In addition, there was a woman sitting between the entrance and carts as well. I thought she was just an employee on a smoke break until she asked my partner and I for food. We offered her a snack bar and she rolled her eyes, clearly wanting money. Obviously this isn't representative of Aldi's, but this is something that also would have not been present if any employee monitored the outside or cameras. She was also still there upon leaving. Beyond this, it's a pretty crowded, loud store, but not bad at all. It's generally clean and organized inside. We love the prices and some of the products like the off-brand Cheezits are just like the "real" thing. What just felt odd to me was the lack of employee interaction. As I said, there were no employees outside, but also none at the entrance to greet us or even throughout the store. However, I actually appreciated this at check-out. At other stores with self check-outs, there are often employees and security watching suspiciously to the point that it makes me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. At this Aldi's, there were employees at the self-checkout, but they watched respectfully and minded their own business. It would have been nice to have a "have a good day" or something as we walked out, but it was also refreshing to just have a quick check-out without the annoying weight sensor issues or scrutiny of Kroger or Walmart. read more

This location was remodeled around 2017. They could probably take out one of the walls and extend it further out but that might be a nightmare to complete at this point. They always have interesting things to see in the Weekly Finds area. It is literally different every week. This is sometimes where you can find name brand items (ie Pop-Tarts) that were bought on discount instead of with similar items. During the Covid Times they have direction markers on the floor and plexiglass between you and the cashier. Sanitizer is available just inside the door and at the cash register. The cashiers wipe down the cart handles between customers. I was lucky enough to grab a bunch of different advent calendars this year for me and friends (something to look forward to during the month). It would be nice if this location had signage posting the limits for each item like I saw at another location the same day. read more

I haven't been to this Aldi location in a while but I had to go to the Home Depot so I decided to stop by. FYI to folks who haven't been to this location : the Home Depot and Aldi entrances are on the right. If you keep straight you will be getting on 315 south! Just watch out for that because I thought I made a wrong turn but I had just forgotten about the funky entrance. Parking lot is large and looks about the same as any other Aldi on the outside. Inside was ok, seemed dirtier and more disorganized than some other locations. I did find almost everything I needed including their magical coconut oil - it's a must buy, so much cheaper and wayyy better than any other brand I have tried. Lines were long, I waiter about 15 minutes and they had only 1 cashier open. When I got up front I asked the cashier if I could get a discount on my cuke ( it had a huge gash and was almost cut in half) she called her manager. The manager said they can't give discounts and if I didn't see another cuke that's that. I said that I would take another cuke instead but I didn't see any so manager just threw the cuke in the trash in-front of me and walked away without another word. I was stunned at how rude the whole interaction was. Unless I really need something and will already be going to the Home Depot next door I will not be returning. Not really worth it for a messy store and terrible service. read more

Aldi is my favorite grocery store in general, but this one is particularly good. It's clean, has a good selection, and the employees are helpful and kind. And it's less expensive than Kroger and Giant Eagle. The produce is always fresh and plentiful, which is not the case at every Aldi. Their meat is also really good, and a good price. It's selections isn't as good as bigger grocery stores, but it's perfect if you just need the basics. And who needs ten different brands of barbeque sauce? Now I only go to Kroger for specialty items. The only thing I really feel this Aldi should add is jalepenos, or any spicy chilis. But that's me being picky. Just make sure to bring a quarter! (Though about a quarter of the time I go, someone offers me their cart for free). read more

I only go here as soon as it opens. Otherwise, you're gonna wait at least a half hour. For me, it's generally not worth it. The WTF: Yelp says this is in Linden. My sister was shopping Aldi, 2395 Silver Drive, on November the 3rd. She lost eight hundred dollars on the floor on the way out the door. The cashier ran after her to give her the money she lost. ALDI is not my go-to grocery store, but I make sure to visit every few weeks/once a month to stock on a handful of basics to make my grocery budget stretch a little farther. This location is always clean and usually well-stocked. I always find what's on my list and usually something new to try as well. The ALDI brand products are hit or miss. Some are great alternatives to similar products sold at Kroger/Giant Eagle for more, but some have missed the mark and not tasted very good (the cereal and coffee pods, most notably). I make sure to stock up on produce when I visit, since the prices are so good. I haven't tried any of the meat products, though. The service has always been fast and very efficient at this location. Most of the time the cashier is finished scanning my goodies before I can even dig out my wallet from my bottomless bag. read more

Aldi is my favorite. Knowing hundreds of product logos out of professional curiosity (I'm a graphic designer), I relish in Aldi's spot-on knock-offs of famous brands. The ketchup bottle looks like Heinz. The popcorn box looks like Pop Secret. The schnozberries taste like schnozberries. I digress. Seriously, it's fun to think about what product the Aldi generic is trying to emulate while you shop. In fact, most of the store is Aldi generic. Sometimes, they have special buy-outs ie. just got a bottle of Bolthouse Farm's Pomegranate Juice for 1/2 the price they offer it at the GE. Their prices are fantastic and I find the quality of their generics fabulous. They're Trader Joe's sister store--they must be good, huh? I've been trying to eat more whole foods as of recent and am attempting a gluten-free and dairy-free lifestyle. It's quite expensive, but I can still shop at Aldi to save some dough. I really do not purchase much of their processed food, but have been pleased with what I have purchased. They have almond milk and bulk produce. I buy pre-washed bags of spinach and lettuce. The freshness and variety of their meats are on par with a regular grocery store. During the Holidays, they have some very delicious chocolates in-store for gift giving. They have a pet section and a paper goods section and even some wines. You can't get everything on your list here, but I always pick up the essentials that I know I can score here on my way to GE or Krog. I like to describe it as a glorified convenience store with special Aldi surprises! Just a few tips as I end my review: 1. Bring a quarter as you have to "rent" your cart and return it. This saves on manpower to clean up the lot, therefore passing on the savings in my spinach! 2. Bring recyclable bags with you. Otherwise, you have to buy plastic or paper bags, or haul your groceries in the highly-coveted cardboard boxes that they (sometimes) have in the packing area. 3. This was my first visit at this location. I stopped by here after leaving Lowe's to grab a few things. I love ALDI because of their low prices. The store was clean and easy to navigate. It was busy and that's a typical norm for these stores. I was looking for a specific bag of chips. They did not have them, but I was still able to get a few things. Once I got to the register, there was only one lane open (surprising for a Saturday). Fortunately, once more people started piling in the one lane they opened up another. I appreciated this, but that should have been the case from the beginning. The pricing is nice and I actually appreciate this store more as an adult(my mom shopped here when I was a child and I swear if I had to drink another pack of flavor aid as a child I was going to go insane ). I go to Aldi so infrequently that my usual experience goes something like this: Hm, maybe I should check it out. I know they have the basics and not much else. Yep. Basics. Decent prices. Not really a good place to do my shopping though; doesn't have everything I need, and they're not convenient to me. So, yeah. I happened to be at Lowe's, and after getting what I needed I realized that instead of getting my bread, sugar, etc., at another grocery I might as well go to the Aldi right next door. They had what I needed. I perused the aisles, looking for other stuff I would need on a bigger trip, and was mostly disappointed. They do have the basics, though, so it's good for that. Service was good. The place was clean. I'll keep it in mind for other quick trips. read more

So many incredible deals here. I used to shop at the other grocery stores and use savings apps and coupons but Aldi does all the work of saving money. Great selection of organic items and health food items like hemp seeds, coconut oil, and quinoa. The brussel sprouts and broccoli are always cheap and they get a lot of seasonal items as well. Pomegranate's for a $1.29 is my current favorite. The cheese selection will blow your mind!!!! The speciality cookies and German treats make this the best place to grocery shop. read more

German efficiency at its best. I love Aldi. Remember to bring a quarter (for the carts; you'll get it back) and your reuseable shopping bags! They also only take cash or debit, not credit. Don't go into Aldi expecting to get everything you need on your grocery list, because you won't. It's kind of a grab-bag of foods that come and go. However, if you make this your first stop, you're going to get a lot of what you need at a very good price. I usually spend $30 for a cart that is mostly fresh foods that I would pay double for in Giant Eagle. Don't expect national brands either. Most of Aldi's stuff is private label, but it's all very good. I'm pretty sure their cereals are actually General Mills, just with the name switched to Millville Farms. Firstly, you can often find German food staples. I'm more culturally German than your standard American-German, so I get really excited when I see these products. Their whole-grain dark bread (in small packages, not with the regular bread) is great with plum jam or spun honey for a easy and hearty on-the-go breakfast. They also carry liquor-infused German cakes and cookies, as well as high-quality (if off-label) German chocolates. They almost always have bags of spaetzel egg noodles and jars of sauerkraut and spicy and sweet grainy mustards. They have a lot of junk food which I skip right on by, but it's a good selection of chips and crackers and cookies, if that's your thing. They have a decent selection of dried fruits and nuts at very competitive prices. Their baking staples like cocoa, flour, sugar, shortening, and oil are also well priced. I've never had an issue with their dairy products (their butter seems to not be that discounted FYI), and they tend to have a small selection of nice cheeses. Their soy milk is pretty good. Meats are standard prices - nothing to write home about. Their frozen seafood is also impressively priced. I particularly enjoy their occasional frozen whole lobsters for something like $9. What I enjoy the most here is the fresh produce at ridiculous prices - $1-$3 cheaper than a grocery store, albeit less selection. I have never seen and Aldi that carries kale, collards, or other greens, for example. But their tomatoes and strawberries are very reasonable. It's not organic or local, but it's dirt cheap and healthy! What I do not like about Aldi is their diet soda. It's not terrible, but it's oversweet. read more

Avoid this place near the first of the month when everyone gets their social security cheques because it's not uncommon to wait in line at the check-out for 20 minutes or more then. The rest of the time, it's awesome! I don't know why I don't shop here more often. I can easily stock up on things I need for half the price here. They have great produce and meat sections here, extremely high quality for the price. This is the perfect place to go for canned, frozen, or "basic" foods. Why pay $3 for flour at Giant Eagle when you can get the same thing at ALDI for $1? Last time I went here they even had CFL light bulbs for $1 each! That's even cheaper than buying them in bulk at Sam's Club. I couldn't see myself making ALDI my everything grocery, tho, because the selection can vary a lot from week to week. Tip: Remember to bring a quarter for the shopping carts (you'll get it back when you return the cart), and remember that ALDI doesn't give you bags for your groceries, so you should either bring your own or be prepared to spend an extra 15 cents/bag for theirs. It's been real Aldi. Fell in love with Aldi back in Virginia but Aldi quality has really gone down hill quick. Meat smells real funky 25% of the time (just had to throw away a $8 piece of pork before I wrote this), produce usually isn't the freshest (make sure you move what you're buying around to check for fruit flies), and I just had a thing of brownie mix have chunks of stone in it like the grinder busted or something during the production process. All in all I'm out. I'm not saving any money if I'm throwing away stuff due to low quality. Kroger might be more money, but at least I can count on it to be fresh. read more

For the price, you can't beat it. Aldi accomplishes exactly what it sets out to do, and for that it gets five stars. CLEAN. The first thing I look for at any discount store is cleanliness. I check out the bathrooms if there are any - that's a good start. LAYOUT/FLOW. This store has a simple and sensible layout that allows me to finish shopping quickly. SELECTION. They don't have every item under the sun, and shouldn't. They carry the basics at bargain prices. I'd expect the quality to be low with low prices, but surprisingly it isn't. I've even bought meat here - so far no issues. FRIENDLY STAFF. Helpful staff are vital for a grocer. The staff here have been well above average for friendliness. Lastly, the parking lot is organized and kept clean. Five stars all around for this place. read more

Aldi's is good for what it is. It's VERY affordable, but on the other hand, most everything here comes in a package -- so, needless to say, it is not the healthiest. They do, however, have some great staples -- paper products are a great buy here, and I frankly adore their string cheese; it may be evil, it's so good (and cheap!). I find I really like to come to Aldi before a party, and stock up on things like treats. Otherwise, I tend to get frustrated by their lack of selection, and I default to other, more expensive stores, where I can get everything I need. And just remember! They don't accept credit cards. Aldi is GREAT for stuff like blue corn tortillas, milk, packaged salads, their hummus is pretty good, um, Olive Oil, fresh Sea Salt, black pepper and other spice grinders, soymilk, frozen breakfast foods, rice cakes, frozen fruit for smoothies, frozen smoothie mix, juice bars, some spices... Those are just a few of the terrific deals I've found at Aldi. I love Aldi, for what it is... For the rest I love the place where my fuelperks add up fast and come in handy! I really like this Aldi location more than others. The staff make it amazing. They lend quarters if you only brought a card. They have given me bags before when I forgot my own. I've even had a cashier go get fresher strawberries when some mold was found on the ones I had picked by mistake. The locations clean and the prices are awesome. I recently found out trader joes owns Aldi so I started trying this store and have found that They offer a good selection of produce, they always have awesome deals on random kitchenware, and the parking lot always has plenty of space because everyone returns their carts to get their quarter. This business has an awesome business plan. Definitely recommend to others! Prices make shopping more fun and easier way to fill the fridge without breaking the bank. read more

I love ALDI. One wacky thing is that they have the best toliet paper and paper towels. Sorry to Charmin and Bounty, but on my budget. I found these work for me. I just got a wonderful fresh pinapple for $1.59 when Giant Eagles were $3.99. Their food is pretty good and prices can't be comparied. It is mostly boxed and canned items, but for what produce and dairy items they have it is much less expensive then name brand foods. #5 bag of Yukon Gold potatos $1.99 to GE $2.99. My food dollar goes further. I go for mainly the produce and dairy, like butter $2.19 to GE or Krogers $2.89. I could go on and on. Remember to bring your own bags and a quarter for the cart. Do not go the 1st few days of the month if you can help it. But the lines at this one are pretty quick. read more

I have been looking for the past year to get a battery for a Kingcraft rechargeable lantern louver fan with am/fm radio and twin fluorescent lantern that I purchased from Aldi in Jeffersonville, indiana store and cannot find. I have searched on line to no avail. I have tried to contact Kingcraft but get no answers. I really like this product and need a battery for it. I've been a customer of Aldi's for at least 18 years. I am a fan of their prices and convenience. Over the years I've lived all over Columbus and I always locate a nearby Aldi and make it my local store. My family and I recently moved downtown and we've made the 2395 Silver Dr. our go to store. The staff is nice and the store offers what I expect from Aldi. However their security police officers have ruined our shopping experience. I respect those who protect and serve and I've never had a run in with the law. My husband and I are both college educated and faithful church goers. Yet on 2-3 separate occasions we have been "trailed" or looked at by the police officers. We've never given these officers cause to be concerned and it's happened when we are together or separate. I understand that the officers have to be aware of everyone and watch everything, but when I'm made to feel uncomfortable shopping for my family's groceries simply because I walked into the store, that's a problem. By the way, My husband and I are African American. We can't change that, but maybe this Aldi location can change how their officers interact with the public. I will not be shopping at this location anymore. read more
