Yesterday I went to the store and did a little shopping. I understand that the cashiers sit when they help the customers but what gets me is some can be very rude when you ask a simple question. After I gave my money and received my changed I said thank you and the cashier went on to help the next customer. Man oh man I tell about some folks. read more

I received a gift card from a person who wanted me to try this store out for the first time. I walked around. Grabbed a few items that interested me and headed to the register. I got in an empty line. Preceded to grab my gift card out my purse, but absent mindedly put the gift card in a placed outside of my wallet. Which I take full responsibility for. I'm fishing through my purse a gentleman comes up before me. I asked the cashier CRYSTAL to ring up the person behind me. She calls for a manager to suspend on my 3 items, rings the gentleman behind me and pushed my cart past her. I wait patiently to be rang up, then there's a full line. I ask her if I need to get in the back of the line. No response. CRYSTAL then proceeds to ring the next customer with her left hand whilst fishing for my suspended transaction with her right hand. I'm am HOT. CRYSTAL finally turns around while unfolding the crumpled up transaction receipt, I cut her off and tell her to call her manager. I explain the situation. He then begins to make excuses on her behalf about how she probably accidentally tossed my transaction out. Oh really? I must look like an absolute complete fool to the man. The nerve. Your customer service is complete trash and Aldi should be ashamed. Your staff needs to be trained properly on how to deal with customers. This is a horrible first impression. I will 100% be calling corporate. read more

Went to Aldi today... I will not be grocery shopping there again. It was very weird definitely felt like I was looking into my great grandma's pantry, not one thing was name brand not even something like Oreo/nabisco or certain breads/hot dogs.... Didn't see anything specialty there ... The prices were OK on vegetables with standard quality... Definitely wouldn't compare it to Trader Joe's You save money because there's minimal workers there which makes for a cluster of people searching for things, bagging they're own groceries, figuring how to unlock the shopping baskets... Etc PS you have to buy bags or have your own and I under estimated the bag purchases and ended up carrying a mini watermelon in my purse... then after had to go to Stater Brothers to finish shopping, would rather pay full price for customer service, quality brands, and options. read more

Okay prices, okay selection and no big deal for the 25 cent basket. The issue is the placement of the items from the belt to the basket. I seriously cringe every time at check out. They literally chuck your food in the cart. I was having some issues with the fruit and veggies I was purchasing going bad super quick. I'm starting to think that when the items are tossed, they are getting bruised or something. read more

Hmm...it was a weird experience at this store. First thing anyone will notice is the .25 you need to get a cart. This allows them to cut costs by not hiring a cart guy and having the customers return their cart back for their quarter. Once you walk in it just feels like a smaller and cheaper 99 cent store. And the sales they advertise to lure you in, they usually run out. I'm think the cashiers have a hard enough job where they have to sit down and ring up your groceries, but maybe this makes them more productive? Like allowing them to show you where to bag your own groceries? This place is a joke. read more

I love this little grocery store. This quaint store has so many different types of fresh and frozen foods. The prices are good, and they change up their products. That means if you like something, you'd better stock up because it may not be there for long. I enjoy browsing the aisles to see what I can find. I'm glad they came to Beaumont. I'm not really a fan of Aldi since they carry 95% off brands. Some off brands are ok, don't get me wrong, but I haven't been impressed with any that I've tried from Aldi. A couple of things were flat out nasty...the cookies and frozen chicken cordon bleu. The selection is small and I wouldn't be able to do all of my shopping there anyway. I'll pay a bit more and go somewhere else. read more

Last night I was driving to go get frozen yogurt and saw people coming out of here! So stopped and went shopping instead! This store has amazing prices! I got a cart full of things from boxed rice for $0.65 to husband some new shorts for $11.99. A cake for $2.99, paper towel rolls for $0.49 I think I found my new fav store. Their was an employee outside and he helped me get my bags out of the cart to return it and handed to me after I got my kids out. The employees seem very nice. Granted it's only been open for a few days but so far so good! Will return! I hope to continue to like the place! read more

I have gone to over 5 Aldi's in the area and I can from my experience the staff rivals Stater Bros which in this area is a good store. One of the cheapest grocery stores similar to food 4 less although they have less items than food 4 less their produce is everday lower priced than food 4 less rios, aldis does not carry watercress bean sprouts , basil mint ginger or asian ingredients food 4 less does except for bean sprouts, aldis less selection overall but cheaper overall, i prefer this store over smart final, food 4 less, for basic grocery shopping youll save a lot if you look for bargains at aldis if you want to do one stop grocery shopping or exotic ingredients look to higher priced grocery such as stater bros. read more

I love Aldi, their meat and produce are the best. I always go there on Wednesday for the Aldi finds. Today I got some extra help from Dan. He was amazing, even though the store was super busy he took the time to walk me to what I needed and was super patient. Even though he kept getting called he would answer his radio and then back to helping me. This store is very cheap for produce, most everything else is normally priced, they dont carry hardly any name brands, which is ok, but you have to keep a eye out for whats cheap and what they are overcharging for. The store seems to be promoted by lower prices and yes, eggs are cheap, milk is cheap as heck and veggies are great!!!! but in the end as long as you dont mind going to staters for everything else this place rocks read more

I went to Aldi today. I am a fairly new customer and have been pleased on my 2 prev visits. Today was different. I spent my time shopping, then waited in line to check out. Only when I got to the cashier did I find they couldn't accept credit or debit cards only cash! I did not have cash. At no time did any employee advise customers of this. I wasted my time shopping and left with nothing. Think this was a huge customer service miss. I realize card readers go down but tell people before they waste their time. I left my cart and groceries....Aldi you owe me a quarter! read more

We love Aldi! I would like to see a bit more there, but I think the customer service and products are great! They have a super return policy too. Our fan that we got from there stopped working after a week and they took it back, no questions asked, no receipt, and gave us a full refund. Some things they always have great deals on, but every week different things are on special. You just have to keep going back to see what new deals they have each week. We are hooked! read more

I have been to Aldi a few times and I have NEVER left happy. I think they have good prices on produce and that's typically all I buy there. The reason for my unhappiness with Aldi is their checkout clerks. I can not fathom why these girls are getting paid 15 dollars an hour to THROW your groceries in the cart!!!! What is the point of paying less for produce that is ruined before you even leave the store?!! AND to boot they are beyond Rude!!!! They do not bag and I am ok with that because as I stated before I only buy produce. However, tonight I brought a bag/box container it just sits in the cart and she REFUSED to put the groceries in the open box and said to me"we don't bag" IT WAS NOT A BAG!!! It was open and in no way would impeded her checkout speed. IN FACT she had to move the box/bag to "THROW" my groceries in the cart!!! I would rather pay higher prices to a grocery store who is polite when I check out and makes me feel like they want my business. And reality is Aldi may be cheaper by a bit, but most of their items are off brand. Epic fail! read more

We used to live in TX and loved Aldi. When they opened last year we were so happy. Lily is the best! She remembers my kids' names and always gets us any items we forget when we are checking out. The assistant manager also is very helpful and dropped what he was doing to get me something from the back two different times. The prices and quality are great and this particular staff is awesome. Lower prices got me in and great food will bring me back! I generally hate change, however, saving money compelled me to give it a go... $1 less for milk, $1 less for cereal, just to name a couple items, their brands hold up to the typical name brands as far as taste goes, Win win! Selection is smaller, it will take a bit getting used to for me, but staff is friendly and helpful, store is clean, so worth it. They also carry some items that you don't find at a typical grocery store, or at least harder to find. Also, gluten free items which is great. The ALDI finds are pretty cool, can get some great deals on different items, which I was told changes regularly. I think their shopping cart method is genius, don't forget your quarter, which you do get back. And don't forget your reusable bags, which we all should be using by now anyway! Be prepared to bag your own groceries, and don't complain like other grumpy shoppers I overheard, it's really not that bad. :) I was disappointed when fresh and easy closed so this will be my go to store in place of! read more

Watch out boys, there's a new grocery store in town and it's going to shake things up a bit. If Fresh & Easy and 99 cent store had a baby, Aldi would be the offspring. This location is small, the grocery carts are big and maneuvering through the aisles can be challenging, especially right now since it's brand new, a lot of people coming on the weekends. I love the fresh fruits and vegetables, all of the identical to name brand foods was cool, the meat selection although small was good, what I really dislike was the rush at the checkout area, they want you to bag your own items but there is no area to do it, only a small counter at the end of the checkout stand, I guess? Other than that the service is phenomenal, everyone is super friendly and ready to help. The best part is, you guessed it, the prices! Best prices in town, cheaper than Stater Bros, cheaper than Walmart and Winco! If you don't believe me, come and check it out for yourself, but I think you're going to like what you see and change where you grocery shop. Bring a quarter and some reusable bags with you, that's just a friendly tip. Have fun saving money! read more

I just read a lot of reviews. First of all I love Aldi. Yes you pay a quarter for your basket, but you get it back when you RETURN the cart. No more lazy bums leaving them in the parking lot to ding my truck. Yay! Yes you have to bag your own groceries, but you get to bag them your way. No more squished bread, or broken eggs. Yay! I have always had good quality of products, fresh and tasty, less variety but I've gotten used to that, it makes for a smaller mom and pop like store, and I like that. Special items do sell out fast, so you just have to get out of your bed, and shop early. If you snooze you lose, oh well deal with it. Lol They have better prices than Walmart, and Staters. They aren't as friendly you say? Maybe because they are working extra hard to stock the shelves, and keep the store clean etc. Staters, and Walmart can be just as "unfriendly", and they are just standing around talking to eachother . I've seen it. Yet there are those in each store willing to help, and are friendly doing so. I've had that too. So don't say everybody is unfriendly. And lastly, if you don't like Aldi, don't shop there. Less people I have to contend with when I go. Lol. read more
