Not rush in from across the state line going door to door trying to push services off on people on the spot. Once again, my yard was supposedly treated during a time frame that I could not be at home. Same song, second verse, actually 4th or 5th verse. So, as Amber H and Billy K have said, Alder Pest Control is a scam. Don't sign anything and don't give them a card number because those ties you into a contract. But if you make the mistake of signing a contract, be aware of this line in their contract: "After the initial contract period, service will continue until canceled with a (30) day written notice". 1 star only because you have to click on the rating! BE AWARE!! DO NOT USE ADLER PEST CONTROL! SCAM! We are a Disabled Vet family with 4 children, Adler stopped by with a sales pitch. Against my better judgment, we chose to try them. The man we spoke to never said anything about a contract...Surprise, now we are on a contract. During the initial visit, the man came and swept cobwebs from the porch and left (129.00 charge). We reached out and told Adler, nothing was done. Second visit, the person walked around the house and sprayed the base of our home only and left (129.00) charge. We tried to cancel and were told we have a contract. Today, we were charged a large early cancellation fee without consent of the charge (being handled through legal measures). a complaint has been filed with FTC. Read every review here, no joke Adler is a true scam. They came to our house, did a pretty deceptive sales pitch. All I wanted was carpenter bees and paper wasps out of my house and yard. The sales dude was like, "oh guaranteed we'll get rid of them." They did seem proffesional during the first visit, they removed some cobwebs, not all though, but I thought it was okay, first visit. They sprayed stuff to rid us of our pests. While the wasps were still there after 3 visits, I let them keep coming because I believed that the treatment would take time since it was sprayed. Well, what do you know we still have wasps! We still have anthills! I don't know what they did, I literally told them to get rid of them and keep the ridiculous amount of money they ask for this service (now, it would be a reasonable amount if they got rid of the bugs). It's been over a year, and this stupid company came again and did a light spray over everything. They always miss my Gazebo and shed next to my house for no apparent reason too, I have to point it out. Shouldn't it be part of what I pay since I walk there to get tools every day? And the best part was that a wasp landed on their truck right on their logo. I immediately whipped out my phone to take a photo, but the wasp was probably working with Adler to make my day horrible cus it flew away. Absolute waste of money, if they come to your door tell them to leave the neighborhood so your neighbors don't get tricked. They offered me a complementary visit, but my hopes aren't high. So, in summary (sorry for my poor writing skills), Alder DOES NOT get rid of your pests and SCAMS you of your money! You'll do better swatting wasps with a tennis rack than calling these hooligans.
