We finally needed our septic tank emptied (after 10yrs) and Aardvark came highly recommended. From the initial contact (called us back within an hour of leaving a message) to them pulling out of our driveway (took about 30min) they were prompt (10 min early), professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and educational. Jasen walked us thru filter maintenance and recommended two six inch risers to bring the caps to ground level (we had to dig down six plus inches to find the caps). Mark was busy with the auger breaking up the solids to make the removal easier and Jasen was running the hose. They cleaned, inspected (the filter), and provided a great service! Mark, the company owner arrived at our house very early for our appointment. By the time we got home, he had already located the septic tank and finished pumping it. To get to the tank lids, he had to dig down about 3 feet, manually remove the concrete lids, both weighing approximately 150 lbs each, pump the tank and then refill the holes and replace the heavy covers. He did all this by himself. I have never met such a conscientious contractor. Needless to say, we were extremely pleased with Mark's work, and will call him again with any septic issues. This is the second time I have used Aardvark Septic. As before, Mark was his very professional and courteous self. Mark had to dig up the septic tank access and the septic tank filter access. Mark found that my septic tank filter was clogged. After cleaning the filter the level in the septic tank dropped significantly and Mark told me that we did not have to pump the tank. However, I asked Mark to go ahead and empty the tank just to be on the safe side. It is very refreshing to have a contractor be so honest and help the homeowner understand the problem. Highly recommend Mark from Aardvark Septic Pumping (256) 604-9681. I called him Friday to do some preventive maintenance pumping of my tank. He gave me a 0800, Monday appointment and was on time and ready. Happily found the tank, which was buried deep, and dug down to gain access. Mark placed dirt on a tarp so it would not cause problems with the lawn. Excellent service. I'm glad we got the preventive work done so I don't have to worry about it overfilling.
