I followed the instructions up until the time it starts saying to plant the strawberries. In this particular kit that was purchased, it did not include the berries. Sometimes there's a manufacturer error, so I reached out to tractor supply where we purchased it. The person that I talk to says it does not include strawberries. I explained that it says it on the instructions. We brought the instructions and the plastic red container to the store. We were met with arguments about the product. Which is not our issue as the consumer. It would fall on the business to reach out to the manufacturer. Instead of exchanging it or checking to see if other packages included strawberries, we were told no refund unless we bring back the dirt. Really? So that's exactly what we did, drove back home gathered the dirt and returned it. As a person who works in customer service, I would've said just keep the dirt and refunded the money. It's absolutely insane that this company asked us to return dirt in order to get a refund.

Star - Disappointed by My Experience at Dixie Auto Parts in Athens, AL…read more About 6 weeks ago, I called Dixie Auto Parts looking for a used 42-inch Toro zero-turn mower. A young man told me they had just taken in a 2022 or 2023 trade-in, in decent shape, for $1500-$1800. He took my name and number and said he'd call once the service department looked it over. I followed up multiple times. No update. Eventually, I stopped by in person. After waiting outside in the heat with a 2-year-old while he spent a long time with another customer, he finally walked me out back--half a block behind the building--to look at an old, dilapidated mower that clearly wasn't the one he had described. He said it hadn't even been serviced yet and might be 2 more weeks out--by now it had been a month and a half. When I questioned the discrepancy, he shifted to trying to upsell me a new mower I didn't ask for--never mentioned financing clearly, and I was prepared to pay cash. I left feeling dismissed and strung along. Maybe because I'm a woman. Maybe because I didn't "look like a buyer." But I was serious, polite, and ready to purchase--and I was treated like I didn't matter. Dixie, if you're reading this, I'd still appreciate a proper response--or at least an apology.

Purchased a mower from Dixie in late 2023 after shipping issues through Home Depot…read more Drive belt had issues last Thursday and they came and picked it up within 30 minutes of service call. They replaced the drive belt and replaced and sharpened new blades. First time I turned the mower back on yesterday the blades wouldn't engage. I was concerned my phobia of service shops was materializing with the blades working prior to service but broken afterwards. Especially considering a common mistake in drive belt repair is disconnection or damage to the PTO and/or associated wiring. BUT, they sent out one of their experienced drivers this morning and he fixed it on the spot. No additional cost. Extremely grateful for Tim. Incredible customer service and my trust in the shop is maintained. They will make it right if something goes wrong which is hard to find these days.

Their attitude to after-sale service customers is very defensive & confrontational when asked about charges. The quality of their service is pretty good, but you can count on at least a week wait. Ordered common parts take a long time to arrive. Basic service includes unnecessary parts such as new plugs after 45 hours run time.

When I went to pick it up I was told I would have to pay for the part "that I didn't get" and the labor "that didn't happen" or I could NOT get my mower back. Each time I spoke to them I was met with an arrogant attitude. I will NEVER patronize this business again..... How it has stayed in business this long is baffling to me.....
