They closed this location. They are gone. (December 2025) It's too bad because they could copy some keys that standard places could not.

Could not cut a simple Toyota Camery Key , .they do not know how to cut basic automotive keys.

Customer service is awful. The technicians have been to my mom house twice because of poor performance. Telling her what to do and how to do it. It's their job to assist customers, that's what they are getting paid to do. Do your job correctly, satisfy your customers so you don't have to come back a second time. read more

I've used Alden twice, once in the past for lock replacements at a two family and today for help reprogramming an electronic entry panel for a 7-unit building. The experience today led me to write this review (although the last experience was also good) as the technician Jay was a true pleasure to work with. For starters, he was accommodating around timing and very prompt. He knew what he was doing with the pabel but even more importantly he was exceedingly patient with me and showed me how to do everything so I could fix it myself in the future. He did everything he could to help and was a consimate professional. Also, while I'm at it. I read the other 1-star reviews and I feel as though these people misunderstand what kind of business they're dealing with. This is a security company that deals with locks, cameras, systems, etc. I'm sure they're happy to cut keys but that's kind of like going to a mechanic to buy window washer fluid. 5-Stars read more

Charged our landlord well over market price (ie. $280 for a front door lock set that costs $150 at Home Depot) for locks to be changed. Tremendously overpriced and the work was very okay, nothing extraordinary. I would recommend coming here to have a key cut, anything else I would steer clear. read more

I brought my safe in to have the lock-popped after I had lost the key for it. The staff was extremely courteous, friendly and helpful. They open the safe relatively fast. It was a lot sooner than I anticipated it would actually take. They're generally nice and kind people and i would highly recommend them. read more

Stopped by to have keys cut. They were closed Saturday even though they have no signage to their hours and nothing on their phone system. When I tried to call them during the week to make sure they were open and would provide my service they didn't answer the phone. When I stopped by to take my keys to be cut two clerks stood around and eventually took my blanks to a grey haired guy who came to the front and just stated "I won't cut these here". I left and went to Winters Hardware in Cushing Square in Belmont, MA where they performed my service without question for a mere $1 per key. There are so many other choices for locksmiths in the area, I see no reason why you would pick Alden. read more

I always use Alden's......quick, smart, efficient, and not pricey. I had to have a tumbler changed in my front door. They arrived on time and were done in literally 15 minutes and made 6 keys, all of which worked. I most highly recommend this company! read more

My front door was popping open on its own so I called Alden. Ed came over and fixed the door in a jiffy. We then decided to have dead bolts installed for added security so I called Alden back and asked them to send Ed back. Quickly installed deadbolts on two doors. Everything works great, Ed was on time, polite and cleaned up as if he was never here. Can't ask for more than that! And all at an affordable price. read more

I did a quick search on the internet for a locksmith for my business. I needed my locks changed out. A few days later the locking mechanism started to fall out of the front door. I called back to have the lock fixed. They charged me another service fee of 106.00 to fix their own work! Riddle me this... How can a lock that worked be replaced with another lock that falls out of a door not be the responsibility of the locksmith who replaced it??? Baloney! read more
