Great communication and really helpful. Fast too! Gary cares about getting the job done right! I had a shattered mirror with a wooden frame, oval in shape. I was able to bring the empty frame in to Gary's shop on a weekend and he got it fixed beautifully for me right away. Then, he spotted a minor flaw in the glass after he had already made the initial replacement. It was small enough that I may have never noticed, but Gary did. He instantly made plans to redo the piece at no extra charge and still got it back to me the very next day despite clearly having other projects and obligations. Great service, great attention to detail and willing to go the extra mile. He even attached new very sturdy hanging wire for the mirror as the mirror's glass had broken when the old wire (after more than 50 years of service on the wall at my mother in law's house) suddenly snapped. She will be very excited to see this mirror whole again. Wonderful! read more

Great service by Gary, who took care of my broken window, which was pretty large. I sent photos, we had a quick chat over the phone, and it all got taken care of seamlessly. Thanks so much! read more

Wow. Absolute last minute decorating issue. They came through and were immediately responsive and very fair priced. The best.

We hired Gary Birch TEN months ago to install a shower door. After he installed the door we called saying there is a leak where the two pieces of glass come together. Gary said he would install a vinyl door gasket. We have been waiting for TEN months. At first he said he was coming but now he doesn't return our calls and his voicemail is constantly full not allowing us to leave a message. SO FRUSTRATING! DO NOT HIRE THIS GLASS COMPANY! Gary the owner is unreliable and dishonest, takes your money and never finishes the job! read more

As we were getting our home ready to sell, we had an accident: a glass window which covers the top half of our "side door" was broken. Of course, we needed to have it replaced. A door to the basement which is covered with small glass panels, had 2 which were broken. Those were easily and expertly replaced by Gary. The side door was an altogether different situation. Due to the door being old and with changing materials, standards, and technologies, Gary first called various of his suppliers, then he used creativity, imagination, and experience to come up with a solution. VERY nice guy! read more

Gary was super responsive and addressed all our needs.. didn't make anything complicated..... we plan on using him for all our jobs read more

Gary helped us replace a window that had fogged over. He was very easy to communicate with, on time, and also very responsive to a date change that we had. Pricing was very reasonable, and came exactly on estimate. In our home Gary was super friendly with our dog and also had a good recommendation for a nearby hiking trail. #bonus. I would definitely use Gary for future projects. read more

Gary just replaced a large window in my house. He was responsive from the first cold call for help. No nonsense business with excellent results. Friendly, prompt and helpful service. I hope I don't have to call him again for a broken window replacement, though if I do need his service, I will not hesitate. read more

My commercial door on my shop got burglarized and the hinge broke, and glass needed to be repaired. Huge bummer. After looking for a glass/door company for 2/3 weeks with no luck this company helped me out and did a great job. The work was high quality, done in a timely manner, reasonable priced, and the work left my door in even better condition than when I started. Gary was professional, respectful, and wore a mask. I've had contractors or workers that I felt were creepy towards me and he didn't make me feel uncomfortable. Will be calling for all my future needs... although I hope I never have to see him again ;) if you know what I mean read more

I had an issue with a storefront door being difficult to open. Another local company wouldn't touch it unless They had installed it. The owner, Gary, on the other hand came out promptly to take a look at my issue. He was able to make the necessary adjustments and walked me through the process in case any of my other doors experienced a similar issue. I would definitely recommend using Alcoa Glass and know who to call first the next time I have an issue. Thanks! read more

We have a somewhat unusual window, and Alcoa glass was the only company around able to replace the glass. Although it took some time and there were unanticipated (and uncontrollable) delays, the job was done very well. read more

Gary helped us in a pinch when one contractor took the money and disappeared and another one scheduled but never showed up. And he did a good job on our old Victorian double hang windows replacing cracked glass. Communication was good, especially considering that we did it remotely (COVID). He showed up when promised. Gave us competitive price. Did a good job. That's what we needed! read more

After vandals destroyed our storefront leaving our store exposed and in shambles, we called Alcoa Glass. Gary and his team came out immediately. They boarded up the windows and cleaned up a huge mess, thus securing our business. A few days after, they installed new glass after reconstructing some walls and frame damage. A big thumbs up to Alcoa Glass and crew, good job. read more

One Friday evening, a burglar dismantled the front door of our local business, necessitating immediate repair upon opening for business the following morning. However, trying to find a glazier on a Saturday is no easy task, unless you call Gary at Alcoa Glass! Gary was friendly, and at my business within 20 minutes. He ably effected repairs and, considering this work was done on "golden time" he was reasonably priced. I will utilize his services again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to friends, family and business associates. read more

I made an appointment to get an estimate on a fairly large window replacement order. The day before they called to cancel but they promised they would set up another appointment for later in the week....never heard from them. I guess they don't service the Carmel area. read more

I'm so glad I chose Gary to install our new shower door and tub sliding glass door. He was able to order the materials pretty fast and did a great job on both. He was a pleasure to work with. And he even offered to help cut our mirror glass for a separate diy vanity mirror project. read more

I wanted to install some interior windows to soundproof my home. Alcoa Glass began the project: they visited my home and took measurements, they told me they would send them to the manufacturer, and things seemed to be going just fine. But after this visit, they ghosted me. I never heard back from them, and it seems that the manufacturer never received the measurements they took and promised to send in. read more

It had been a long fun night playing at Britannia Arms, when, on my way out the door carrying a guitar & amp, someone let the door go and smash ! My guitar case took out a glass panel about the size of an old record sleeve (lp). To make matters worse, the owners were all there..... -- Alcoa Glass to the rescue! Gary came out and secured the door overnight and the very next day installed some replacement glass that looked identical to the other 5pieces in the door. Gary makes it look too easy! I went to find the owner and when we came back - Bam - it was done. I mean in under 10 minutes. Great price, ridiculously fast service and the kind of problem solving know how that only comes with a well seasoned glazier. Call him for anything glass related, mirrors patios showers etc read more

I called Gary out to repair glass shower door hinges that required special care. He was responsive by phone, email, and text. He showed up promptly, fixed the door hinges, and was careful to wear a mask. We would definitely use him again. read more

Gary was the first (by days) to call me back when I was trying to decide between getting replacement panes or brand new windows for my cottage--a very small job , either way, yet he spent some very thoughtful time listening to my ideas and giving me support and suggestions over the phone. When he came out to measure he wore a mask, was friendly and polite, and clearly knew his stuff. His bid was very competitive, but I still wasn't sure what I wanted, and he was patient with me for weeks while I went back and forth. After installation I realized we'd had a minor miscommunication, but he courteously made everything right, without the least pushback or making me uncomfortable about it--I greatly appreciated that. I'm glad I gave Gary the work, and that he gave me such a beautiful view. :) read more

I called Alcoa Glass and Gary responded immediately. Although it was only a small project (two custom-cut pieces of glass), he not only agreed to the job but took care of it immediately. He is a true professional, communication was great, and he did exactly what he said he would. And the glass looks great! I recommend him highly. read more

Did a great job replacing a window in my house. Friendly, prompt, and professional. If my son breaks another window I know who to call.

We wanted to get a new window put in. Having never done this before, we didn't really know what we were getting in to. We called a few places and had people come out. It seemed like everyone we talked to saw us as a dollar sign. Then we talked to Gary at Alcoa Glass. He came out right away, looked at the work we wanted done and talked to us about options. Gary treated us with respect and instantly felt like someone we could trust. He kept us informed throughout the whole process of the timeline. If you're looking for someone who not only will do a good job but treat you like a valued customer, Gary at Alcoa Glass is your guy! We plan to tell all of our friends and family about his great service and work. read more

The wind blew an object through my living room window during a storm and I wanted to get it fixed asap. Called Alcoa and Gary said he'd come over in an hour. He didn't show up and it was getting dark. Called him, he said he had a flat tire and would come the next day. Why didn't he call and let me know? He did show up the next day, measured and gave an estimate and said he'd call the following Monday. He never called. I waited until Wednesday and called. He said he didn't have his binder so he couldn't tell me the status of my repair but he would call back later that day. He again never called. I waited a couple more days. Called, his voice mail was full so couldn't get through. Kept trying. Got through the next day. Again he didn't have his binder but would call back later that day. Again never called back. Going on the third week now and still have no idea what is going on. Tried to call, voice mail full again. Kept trying. Finally got through around 3:30 in the afternoon. He answered the phone drunk. He must have thought I was someone else when he answered the phone. He didn't say hello like normal people answer, he he answered by saying "you're not going to believe this." Then he babbled on with nonsense that made no sense to me. He finally said he didn't know who I was. I told him who I was and asked for the status of my repair. He couldn't tell me, he didn't have the information in front of him. I complained about how he has never called me back or given me any information on the status of my repair. He accused me of having an attitude and continued to babble on with nonsense saying he owed money and insisted he had paid them??? He babbled on about having a lot of good customers. Sounded like he hasn't paid his bills so was unable to order the glass for my window. He said he would call back. Of course after not being called back ever I didn't believe he would. I wanted to make sure he had my number. He said wait a minute and hung up on me!! I called back, someone else answered who said he would be taking over the business. I told him I have been unable to find out if the glass has even been ordered yet and that I have never gotten called back. He said he would call back. I asked when because I would have to give him a different number if he wasn't going to call until the next day. He assured me he would call me back that same day. This guy also never called me back. If they can't do the job the least they could do is have the common courtesy to say so. I could have had the window repaired by now if I had called someone else. This whole experience was totally unbelievable! I called Delta Glass and they came right out and will be doing the repair. read more

I called Gary after another glass place just couldn't be bothered to help me. He was so helpful. I explained my problem and he was certain he could help me. I wanted a mirror in my bathroom but there was an outlet on the wall. He told me my options and was willing to do whatever I wanted. Most importantly he showed up on time. He answered my calls or returned my calls right away. Even used texting when letting me know when he would arrive which I found helpful. Lots of places can put up a mirror but it's the person that shows up when they say they are going to show up and then gets the job done who is going to get my business every time. read more

We have a 29-year-old house with 33 double-pane, black metal-frame windows. Some of them had condensation, including a picture window in our family room. We got an estimate for replacing eight of them. It seems everyone installs vinyl windows now, and they would not have matched our remaining metal windows. We didn't want to spend a fortune replacing all of the windows. And since we like the look of our metal windows, we decided to just replace the glass. Gary at Alcoa came out and agreed that replacing eight panes would solve our condensation problem, and we can probably go several years without having to replace more panes. He and his associate did a great job and saved us many thousands of dollars compared to new eight new windows, and many many thousands compared to 33 new windows. They are great guys and do excellent work. read more
