Management neglect's the birds of proper perches, enrichment and environment. When I asked if it could be approved by management to buy a new perch for the bird, it was refused and I was told I could not. This is a form of abuse/neglect. This is comparable to being put in a room without a bed and being asked to hang from the side of the wall by one finger to sleep. As an establishment that is responsible for teaching people how to properly care for animals, this is disappointing and inhumane. It is not okay. Birds require research to properly provide for and not doing so is neglect. Enforcement has been contacted to look into this establishment and the neglect/abuse at hand, as to this being only one area that needed work. As a bird owner/rescuer from establishments such as this, you can see that both the conure on the left and cockatiel do not have the proper perches or the environment they need to be comfortable in a cage all day everyday. To anyone who understands birds needs please help me in being the voice of these birds that are not able to for themselves. This is not okay.

On December 13, I took my dogs to the Tractor Supply VetPet clinic and want to start by saying the…read moreveterinary staff from PetVet provided excellent care. I was very pleased with the service my animals and I received during the clinic itself. Unfortunately, my experience immediately afterward was disappointing and unnecessary. While in the store, my dog had an accident. I was prepared, cleaned it up immediately, and then walked around the store and outside looking for a trash can to properly dispose of the bag. There were none available. I politely approached the two employees working the front counter and asked if there was a trash can I could use. One employee explained that the only trash can was behind the counter. Out of consideration for the employees, I hesitated to place a waste bag there. At that point, the blonde other employee responded with visible disgust and told me to take the bag to the men's restroom. Being met with a nasty look and an immature, dismissive response was unprofessional and left a sour impression. Considering Tractor Supply was hosting a pet clinic that day, it is completely reasonable to expect that accidents may occur and that proper waste disposal options would be available. Even more importantly, customers who responsibly handle their pets should not be made to feel uncomfortable or embarrassed. This situation could have been handled with basic professionalism and courtesy. Instead, the behavior at the front counter overshadowed what should have been a positive experience.
