Everything was fine until I went to the meat/chicken/seafood counter . Leo the "seafood supervisor" per his tag, poor communication, poor customer service and overall just bad. Asked for something to be filleted thinner to which he said nothing , not yes or no ... just raised his eyebrows and went to work on the scale for pricing . Never told me the pricing would be higher for such service , just went on and asked for the amount of pounds I needed and went to work. Zero words came out of his mouth after that , took the product away , filleted , wrapped it like it was on fire (very poorly and in a hurry), slapped the tag on it and handed it to me. Granted I paid the extra charge without hesitation, I asked for extra service , but a simple nod , acknowledgement , explanation of a price increase , anything ... mane even a greeting , I got none of the above. instead I got a robot in human form. Simple customer service goes a long way. Just a heads up for management. Other than that , store had everything I needed , everyone was kind and left without incident. read more

I come here for odds and ends, and sushi. I do most of my shopping at Trader Joe's or Walmart Neighborhood Market. This store is clean and always pretty well stocked. The sushi here is also good quality and they always have a nice assortment. Parking isn't ever an issue at this location. I don't mind coming here. read more

I grew up in La Mirada and have been visting this grocery store just a short walking distance from my family home for many years. It used to feel like a welcoming, neighborhood store with good selection and reasonable prices. This has changed markedly in the last few years. During a shopping trip here on a recent evening, I had an awful encounter with a young checker. I was buying beer and did not expect to be carded (I'm 35 for reference.) But upon seeing the beer in my groceries, the bagger loudly asked the checker if he planned to card me, noting there had been several instances of secret shoppers catching employees not carding...."They got [so-so's] dumb a**..." Awkwardly, the checker then asked for my ID. All fine. Profanity was a little inappropriate but whatever. But then the two proceeded to have a conversation as if they were in the break room hanging out and not literally inches from me...the checker began joking with the bagger how he "knew his ages from looking at people" and "only didn't card if they didn't look obviously old like no white hairs" (I don't have white hair for reference) & "only if they don't have a bunch of wrinkles dude." Laughter. This type of commentary went on for a few minutes while they continued to ring up and bag my order. I just stood there helpless and mortified. Again, I know I definitely don't look under 21 but either card me or don't...no need to have a very dehumanizing and humiliating conversation about it a foot from me. Handle yourselves like you are on the floor at your customer service job and not hanging out in your off time. It was beyond rude and I was nearly in tears as I left the store. I happened to run into the manager on my way out and mentioned the interaction to him. He was apologetic and said he would take care of it. I wish I could say this was an isolated incident but it was the culmination of many unpleasant interactions with employees at this store. Many are young, disgruntled & unhelpful. Giving attitude when asked a question, being generally unfriendly or rude. There are a few that are kind (a tall young man that works in the produce department and a few of the checkers) and the two stars in this review are for them only! Other issues with this store of late include frequently broken self check out stands & long lines without management working to open more lanes to alleviate wait times. Also, the store is extremely cluttered with product displays. It's tough to maneuver a cart or stroller through without having to dodge a giant product display in the middle of every open space possible. And the prices here are the highest of any store in town (compared to Stater Bros just around the corner or Trader Joes up the road.) The whole shopping experience has just become really sub par. Sad to say, I've begun avoiding this store unless I absolutely HAVE to go here. I'd rather fight the crowds at Trader Joes up in La Habra for a better product selection, WAY better prices and WAAAAY nicer staff, just an all around much more enjoyable weekly shopping spot. I am writing this review in hopes of grabbing management's attention because I truly feel this store is an important part of the La Mirada community and would hate to see it lose business to adjacent competitors en masse, especially in the current economy where many grocers are having to close locations due to poor performance. read more

I can't believe I haven't reviewed my favorite grocery store! Where do I even begin? The location is great for me. The store is always clean and there's always someone restocking items. There's a sushi spot and a deli and bakery and meat department and flower place. There's even a Starbucks! The rewards program is fantastic. The cashiers are wonderful. They always treat you like friends and they're very helpful. I come here on a weekly basis for anything I need because I know they'll have it. They're reliable and reputable. If you want good quality food that will last while stacking up points for rewards and free items, this is the place to be. read more

This Albertsons is the worst grocery store. DO NOT COME TO THE LA MIRADA STORE. The employees are rude. The self check out employee told me "I don't know what to tell you" after my total did not seem right to me. 2/7/2025. Instead of helping she was just frustrated with me. What kind of service is that. The employees know those checkout screens like the back of their hands, but to customers its confusing because sale price might be at the bottom of the screen. Also a $5.00 Friday deal was all varieties except one. Just so happened I picked that one. What a joke, it's a scam for sure. Im sticking with Stater Bros from now on. Horrible service at the Bakery. They called the day before my son's bday and informed me that they didn't have what I asked for when I ordered a week ahead. When I went to go pick up the person had me pay before I got the cake, however when I was in line paying there was a lady with the cake and the tag to pay? Why would you let someone else take the cake and wait for me to pay first? I find it interesting and very rude service. The cake design sucked when we cut the cake. I had an official Coca Cola coupon on my phone that explicitly says it's for Albertsons and they told me at checkout "We don't scan phones." Then they repeatedly talked over me while I was trying to explain it's an official coupon. Every other grocery store I go to has no problems with phone coupons. Oh my god. I just left this Albertsons and normally i'm so pleased with it but there's this one lady who works near the self checkout machines that has such a HORRIBLE attitude. She was on her phone when I was trying to get her attention to help and ignored me, and when I finally got her to help me she gave me the worst attitude with zero help. I asked her how I use my coupon in the app and she didn't help show me or anything and just brushed it off. She was very rude and NOT someone who should be working in costumer service. We ordered the beach themed cake and look at how cute this is!!! The whipped cream frosting was so good!! We ordered tres leches with custard and strawberries in the middle and it was amazing!!! It was not overly soaked and the strawberries were nice and cold still so it was perfect. The online order was pretty simple they had pictures of the designs the only down side is that they don't have the tres leches option on the website but I put it in the free text and they verified they received my order and they let me know the tres leches option is an additional charge which was ok still a good price $61 for a half sheet! The cake was a hit at the party everyone loved it and it was perfect because my sisters favorite song is "vamos a la playa" so she absolutely loved it! My mom got to the front of the line with her groceries when suddenly the power went out. They said she could pay with cash but she didn't have the cash. She came home got the cash and I offered to go back for her (by her telling, the cashier grew increasingly rude to her as she tried to get the cash together to pay for our groceries. So I figured I'd give her a break and come at it fresh. They weren't letting people in--understandably--but I politely explained the situation and the young man turning people away said he'd go inside and check. I was told by two other people inside that they weren't able to help. But we've got the total. We know how much it should be, we've got the cash. "But our registers are down, we'd have no way of processing the transaction." "Then why did you tell my mom you'd hold onto her groceries if she went home to get cash?" "We can't even process cash, sir." "But why did you send her home to get cash then? Why did you tell her you'd hold her groceries?" "I don't know." I'm willing to give a business, a branch, a store a LOT of latitude with stuff like this that's outside of their control and creates a lot of stress and chaos for their management and staff, but sending a 70 year old woman home to get cash when they'd just have to turn her away again when she comes back is a special kind of ineptitude that I'm having a lot of trouble wrapping my head around. read more

Came in on Wed 7-16, with the intention of getting fried chicken for the family. At 5 pm there should be more than 1 person working the deli and hot food. Not only was the time management an issue so was management in general. The young man said it would be 20 mins for friend chicken. Not including fries and also chicken strips, plus the pack of jumbo legs that they ran out of. I went to get a refund after finishing my shipping, putting my groceries in my truck and also dropping them off back at my house, yes I went back home then came back and it still wasn't ready. Apon getting a refund the young girl asked me if the only reason was because I had to wait...... When you have young kids at home, and have waited longer then 20 minutes to fry chicken, yes that's my reason. So I placed my order at Stater bros and picked it up right away. Managers should be trained not to be sarcastic, and also to train employees on time management. If not maybe they shouldn't be in that position....... Albertsons is close by, so it makes it pretty convenient. The meat department, compared to Stater Brothers is like night and day. At Stater Brothers, you have plenty of people to help at the meat counter. At Albertsons, I asked for a cut they're advertising as a special. The one guy walks over, looking among the shelves. Says we have to cut some, the meat cutter is on break. I continue shopping, come back, they ask me how much I want. What I want is to select from at least a few packages to get the leanest cuts. Ordered online for pickup just two white cakes and some fried chicken. I placed the order a couple days in advance. Day of I go to pick up early evening and was never informed that they didn't have two white cakes. They just replaced them with a bday style and a Christmas style. I was left with no time to go elsewhere because I was never notified. I was stuck with these cakes and had to try and take the icing off. I tried to get some type of refund and they denied it. The fried chicken wasn't great either, chewy. I won't ever be back to this store. Customer service fail. I don't recommend ordering curbside from this location. read more

Obviously I'm a glutton for punishment. Either that or the royal elegance cake used to be so good that I can't let go. I ordered a cake again. A 1/2 sheet royal elegance with 1/2 lemon and 1/2 raspberry filling complete with cream cheese frosting. I don't which was the greater disappointment, the lack of filling or the whipped topping frosting. The filling was so thin it really didn't matter which side you got. You couldn't taste anything but the cake. I hate whipped cream frosting especially when I am expecting cream cheese!! I love cake and have never turned it down. This cake ... it has been a very long time since I have been to Albertsons. The sale on boneless ribeye/lamb prompted me to visit. oh, and they have halo top ice cream but it is quite expensive. I love the plaza it is located in. It has ample parking and the neighborhood/crowd is nice. The store is kept clean on the outside and inside. I love the layout and organization and foods/beverages. It does not ever seem cluttered or make it difficult to find things. Staff do not automatically ask if you need help with something but every time I do need assistance, they are always helpful. *The man in the meat department is always so helpful and provides good service. When I did not see anymore pre-packaged lamb out, I asked if there was anymore. Normally, they would just say "whatever is out is out." He informed me he will cut some more in the back once he finishes with his first customer." He came out with nicely packaged lamb soon after. I am a fan of the speedy check out design with a short rotating belt that moves your items forward. This allows two registers for folks with items 15 or less. I will continue to visit this location since it is the closest to my house and the store is very pleasant to shop in. read more

Love shopping at an Albertsons. I've been going to this Albertsons when it was an Lucky's which Albertsons acquired in around 1998. Good times though. And I'm obviously still shopping here. This store is pretty convenient. The quality of their products are very fresh. They can be expensive, but you do get what you paid for. Whenever there's good sale going on, I always go for it. Meat: For the BBQ on the 4th of July, I got 3 lbs of marinated flap meat from the butcher which it was my first time getting meat from the butcher ever. My parents, brother and sister really love the flap meat a lot. I also got some Foster Farm's half breast chicken which is so good. Organic produce: Really love their organic strawberries. My parents thought I was crazy eating some organic stuff. And I'll be buying some more organic fruit soon. Customer service: Excellent! No questions asked!! There's constant price discrepancies here! It's very frustrating to buy things here, be ok with the price on the shelf, then it rings up for double the cost! Or the app doesn't add the coupons correctly and you are mischarged. And when you bring it up to the staff, they are never "oh sorry about that, let me fix it" they make you feel stupid as if you don't know how to use the app. Yesterday, we bought buttermilk. The shelf said $1.99 for a pint and $2.99 for a quart. The PINT rang up for $3.99!! We walked a cashier to the shelf and stood there for five mins with them going "hmm that's weird!" With no offer to refund the correct amount. I'm always at this stupid store because it's the closest but I'm constantly ripped off here!!! There's a rule that grocery stores can't do that right? Where do I report this kind of crap!! This never happens to me at Ralph's.. and this doesn't even happen to me at Vons which is a sister company to Albertsons!! So why is it THIS location that I always have to verify my receipt, then have to GO BACK inside to fix it while my groceries are getting warm or melted??? Why. Honestly. read more

I wish this supermarket was open 24/7 but sometimes you can't always have what you want!! I come here and shop for most of my groceries only if they have sale items!! When they have a sale it really is a pretty good deal. I would recommend checking your newspaper or going online to see what the sale is and also cutting some coupons from the LA Sunday paper. After you do all that than come to Alberstons and go do your shopping!! This place is pretty big with large isles to go and look through. The fresh bakery section looks pretty nice but I still haven't tried anything from it. But it does smell pretty yummy!! The parking isn't a problem and the lines are pretty fast !! Closest Albertsons to us. We used to shop all our groceries here prior to the La Habra Walmart upgrading into Super Walmart a while ago. Pros: Never crowded. Abundant Parking. Good Booze selection. Fresh meat area compared to La Habra Walmart. Cons: They used to have meatloaf in their Deli area. Mrs. loved it. They discontinued it couple of years ago. My visits have been infrequent since then.
