Still one of my favorite Aldis to visit! I think the customer service here is on average the best among the many Aldis I have visited in the Southland. Honestly, if there was a survey system, I wouldn't be surprised if it ranked high/ was a leader in customer service. I think the staff here generally are more cordial or it is just the management who is treating them better. (-): Only downside of this Aldi is like most Aldi, by a certain time during the day, the bananas might be sold out! Was in the neighborhood for a class so I decided to check it out before making my way back to my 'hood. Found a great spot to park, shaded and not too far from the entrance. I really don't mind the walk but in this 90+ heat I'll park inside the store if they'd let me. Not a fan of how the checker stacked my stuff back in the cart but I appreciated her moving the water from the other one. I had encountered male checkers from other stores who told me to move my own water. But I digress. It's pretty much the same as the Aldi by my house but they don't have the anything bagel. I like this particular ALDI's it's almost never crowded and the parking lot is HUGE. The baskets are always in place and I never had a squeaky or lopsided one which is great. It's clean inside and they always stocked up on wipes to clean your basket. The veggies and fruit are always fresh. The shelves are nicely organized and clean. It's clean everywhere in there. Customer service is good. The only thing is that prices are although good and fairly low price they are raising. They always have new interesting items. I didn't give it 5 stars only because they had no baggies for the veggies/fruit all of them were empty. But in general it's a good store. read more

Wow ! It has been awhile since my last review, anyway it's good to feel good to start a new page. Today I would like to take a comparative view of my one of favorites super markets. I happened to go groceries shopping and I ran into these deals the same item was on sale at Aldi and Foods for less. They were both on sale , Foods 4 less was $5.99 lbs while at Aldi was $4.99. But if you compare the qualities of these stores. Obviously the Aldi was a winner. It was fresh as it just cut and delivered . The Aldi is not just for selling meat , but it has a plenty of varieties of different products as you can see them in any of supermarkets around. The service here is quick and sufficient even though they don't have a lots of employees. You will be in and out in no time. Well ! For sure I would be back more to find more good deals. read more

The cashiers are fast, butttttt the store has no positive energy in it whatsoever and no customer service. The cashiers might as well be replaced by robots. They only know people are there because there are things to scan. No hi, hello, here you go, how are you, no words at all. Not even a smile. I think a robot would have more personality. I felt invisible, and was left hanging while I had to switch lanes because of a faulty register. I was supposed to be next but good ol jayke didn't give me a second thought and I had to wait for two customers to finish paying. And those customers knew I was next and didn't say anything. I frequent this location during my breaks at work and the store is always clean and stocked with many comparable goods that you'd find at Trader Joe's - rumor is that they're sister/brother companies. Who knows if it's true! What's great about this market is that they have everything from fresh produce to dry goods, as well as miscellaneous home items such as an air mattress that was on sale for $40, online price $70-80! Steal! I still think about that air mattress; I'm hoping it's there in the next week. I dock one star because of my experience today with the cashier service- I usually checkout my groceries with a younger gentleman in his twenties maybe, always friendly and efficient. Today however, the woman at the register stared me down (my work badge) and was passive abrasive... for no reason. Hope she has a better week ahead! All in all, hope this store lasts awhile. This is only the second time I've been inside an Aldi. The first was about a year ago on a whim stop on the way to Vegas because there was none close to home. But now there is one, and I'm so glad. Aldi is a supermarket discount chain with origins in Germany. I've been to Germany, and if there's a few things it is known for, it is their commitment to all things sustainable, their engineering designs, and VERY clean, open spaces. They brought all that to America in the form of Aldi. But disclaimer - they specialize in their generic brand. So you'll see boxes, cans, displays of all the brands we know and recognize, only.. they're not. And their prices will reflect that also. So if you don't mind generic, I highly recommend stepping into an Aldi. For all that must have brand names, there are only a few, maybe less than 10 percent of stock, that are your brand. In addition to groceries, they also have a few home goods, little knick knack basics, and my favorite, sections of European or German products. Everything is reasonably priced, aisles are wide, no crowds to fight for parking space, and I swear, this is the probably the most organized and cleanest supermarket I've ever been to in the States. Or maybe even anywhere. Don't forget your quarter for the cart. Refunded when you return your cart. read more

I will never go to another grocery store again , the first time I visited an Aldi was in Texas and decided to go to the one near me. Everything is very cheap it's no exaggeration when they say you save up to 50% off . The store brand is very good I have no complaints . The carts are used with a quarter and in order to get it back you simply put the cart back in the place it belongs it's a best idea and you dont have carts all over the parking lot. Today the check-out girl in the 1 o'clock hour was a bit rude when she assumed I was taking a cart that she placed my groceries in after I paid, she tells me- you need to leave that there. I had to tell her I was not taking the cart but moving it over to the counter to put my groceries in the bag. I can't count how many times I've walked into this store and walked back out because the line stretched to the back of the store because only one register is open. I've seen this so many times, I don't even consider shopping there. This is not a virus issue. When I go to other grocery stores in the area, when the lines get long they open up other registers. I come here all the time, weekly stop for cheap groceries. Normally my visits are great, however this last visit missed the mark by a long shot. You guys need to communicate with your customers as SOON as your systems go down. Over half an hour of shopping inside your store no mention of cash only, no signs at the door, nothing. So here I am at the checkout line when I hear cash only. I walked out! And I hope you enjoy putting all my groceries back! If you had communicated like most places do, you would have saved me the wasted time and causing a disgruntled customer. Horrible job on your part guys. I love this place. It's cheap, the food is good, and I can walk out with two bags of full of food and only spend 30. But for this to be a good review let's get honest. The good: Great prices. Nothing I get there is rarely over 5.00 and that's usually because I'm buying a small cows worth of meat. Delicious brats and some of the best strudel I've bought in a store. Honestly, get the ones on the freezer that says deutche on them and prepare as directed! Amazing. Great collection of gluten free options. Best prices on nuts and dried berries. The bad: Produce is not always the best but it's cheap. And if you are very picky and need certain brands of items this is not for you. So, unlike a lot of people, I was not excited for this store to open up. You see, Aldis have been around in NY (where I am from) for over 20 years. I went once, back when I was a teenager, and it sucked out loud. Everything was gross. But, I had read recently that Aldis now have nearly all organic produce and I figured what the heck, I'm going to give it a shot. I got there right at 9, as it was opening. There were about 8-10 people there waiting but it wasn't too bad. They opened right at 9:00 am. Since this was my first time, I decided to go down each and every aisle. I was super impressed with their selections of snacks, candy, breads, bakery items, etc.... The fruit and vegetables were all looking super fresh and I got a ton. (99 cents for a pint of blueberries?!?!?!?!) Their meat selection isn't huge, but they have all your basic needs. Here's the best part. I got a ton of produce, several meals worth of meat, loads of snacks, plenty of sweets, and dairy. The total came out to $70.59! Seriously! The staff was all super nice. I remarked to my cashier that I had forgotten Eggs, she ran and grabbed them for me. You do have to bag your own stuff there (and don't forget your reusable bags because they don't have any) but there's an area right past the registers that looks like a giant folding table at the laundromat and you can bag there. It's pretty convenient. All in all, I am super impressed. I will not be shopping anywhere else from now on. read more

I was really happy to hear SFS had a new grocery store in town.The hype I have been hearing is that its a low cost and carries organic selections. First of all, I hate bagging my own food and they have a counter where you can do that. Second, you need a quarter to be able to get a cart. However, if you are like me and don't like walking the cart all the way back to the store..you lose that quarter. They should at least have a shopping cart hub for those that choose not to. What I noticed is that mostly every item in the store is highly processed or long term shelf items. Brands I have never heard of. This would not be a problem if the ingredients were clean.They do have some organic selections but not much of a savings. Fruits and vegetables do look fresh but not much of a bargain and I suspect they are all GMO since a tomatoe was a size of a grapefruit. I was very disappointed. Looking at everyone else's shopping cart...they were empty, too. I decided to grab a couple of bottled waters just to show some support for my community and a lady told me not to buy the water. Say what?That it tasted really bad.I am very disapointed. We need real food in our community not "food like" products. I could have gone to the 99 cent store. read more

I was skeptical about Aldi. Didn't know what to expect. I drive by this Aldi twice a day. I was a tad lost with the quarter thing. I heard about having to put a quarter in but wasn't sure how it would work. It's so easy, push in a quarter and the link to the other carts unhooks releasing your cart. Don't fret, your quarter stays with you the entire time. It's true what other Yelpers said, not a huge selection and about 80 percent of the items are their own brand. But you cannot beat these prices! Chips are so cheap and actually delicious (tried the tortilla chips). Avocados from Mexico are $0.29. Loaf of white bread is $0.85. My parents couldn't believe what I paid for everything I brought them. They are going there tomorrow! Don't forget your bags. I forget them every single time! If you are in need of a bag, they sell a very nice and roomy one for $1.99. Lastly, you put your items on the belt as you normally would. The cashier charges each item and puts them back in your cart. Once you pay you can pack it out in the baby-changing style table along the wall right after the cashier. Or if you forgot and refuse to have to buy any kind of bag, just walk out with your cart as is! You don't have to feel like a cheapskate for leaving with your items without packing in bags. It is a clean and well stocked store with many different items to choose from. The lines are busy with a wait, but otherwise a food store.

This is the beat place to buy your chopped salad supplies. Avocado prices can't be beat. They have a very good vegan cheese and their soy chorizo is only 1.29. They have the best prices on cereal without dyes or crap ingredients all for under $2. Their coffee is under $4 a bag. Chips without dyes and crackers, snacks all under $2. A 3 pack of roasted seaweed is always 99 cents. Excellent prices on bread. Creamer and milk, including organic almond and coconut milk are cheapest here. Sometimes their pizza is a great price. Produce is hit and miss in terms of quantity and selection, I tend to go to Sprouts for that. But definitely worth the quarter in and out for carts and bagging your own groceries as the prices for high quality foods are unbeatable. read more

I was excited to have a market somewhat close to my house that wasn't Food 4 Less (I hate that place). Was making chili beans one day and decided to come here for the first time to buy all my ingredients. I love the idea of paying the quarter and getting it back once you return your cart. However, that means if you park across the parking lot you need to walk your cart back to the entrance since there are no cart stalls planted around the lot. I don't mind it though! Ive only been to this location, but it is clean, has a friendly staff, and has great prices! Since I've only been here twice I have not gotten used to the aisles and where you can find what you're looking for so it's been a lot of going back and forth the past couple times. I love this place and I would like to continue coming here, though! I was a little disappointed the last time I came because (correct me if I'm wrong) I could not find any ice! Just opened up today, lots of employees walking around making sure everything is good! Place is modern and nice, has wide isles and good lighting. It's Air Conditioned inside. There are about 7 registers located at the front next to the entrance/exit which is convenient for leaving but the lines might build up near the frozen section. I love this store, because I have been used to ALDI stores and their sales concept since I was a child. Their no-nonsense low pricing without having to use coupons is great. Every customer gets great prices without having to use coupons which are designed to give discounts to those who clip them and all others without coupons are paying inflated prices. Their store is clean, the isles are wide enough for 2 people to pass each other without problem. There are no product displays obstructing the aisles as you move through. Most of the food is based on the GERMAN heritage of ALDI stores and this is the only place where I can get a real German Black Forest Style ham that is not soaked in sugar water like all the American grocery chains are selling. The produce section has room for quality and pricing improvement though. First time shoppers will be confused over the fact that you bag your own groceries, get used to it folks, it reduces operating costs and brings product pricing down. Also, you need a quarter to unlock a shopping cart and you get that quarter back when you return the cart to the storage. This is a concept in use in Germany for more than 40 years and it keeps the carts from being left all over the parking lot by LAZY and careless people, dinging up your car bumpers and doors. My friend was raving about this chain, so instead of running to Target, I came here to shop for grocery. Since this store was brand new, they were clean and well kept. Understandably they have a small selection, but they had most of the things I needed, e.g. veggie trays, chips and dips, etc. They even have baby food like apple sauce and sweet potato. They didn't have prune baby food so I had to stop by Target, it was worth exploring. While waiting for the cashier at Target to scan my stuff, I realized how quick and efficient the Aldi cashiers were. The price differential between the two stores were huge too, with Aldi having a better price. Depending on your needs, Aldi may be a better choice than Target. read more
