We had the RV dropped off at a military base and it was agreed that they would drive in on base and set it up. The guy who delivered didn't have a CA Real ID" and they wouldn't let him in the base. We needed up having to set it up and there was some issues with the hook up hoses. We had to purchase a hose and it still leaked. I left a couple messages and emails and got no answers. We ended up figuring everything out and had a great time. The guy brought his passport and picked up the RV with no issue. It took several calls after the rental to get ahold of someone about the issues we had with the drop off and set up. The only reason we got a return call is that I indicated that I was going to write a review. All in all, not such a bad experience that I wouldn't rent from them again. Now I know how to navigate the conversation of what our expectations are.

I ended up being another victim of a ridiculous insurance claim that had completely no merit. $1,500(RVShare deductable) was charged 2 months after the trip. And on top of it all RVFunRental didn't even tell us there were any issues. Walked the RV upon return and noted everything looked great. In fact we were the ones who had issues with the RV during the trip. Details below.... First red flag, RVFunRental did a bait and swap with our RV a few weeks before the trip. They said the previous one had issues and gave us a different one. At departure, we met with Greg from RV Fun Rental in Mission Viejo. This is how they service OC clients, meet in Mission Viejo with the RV and a car towed behind and then use the car to return to their office. We walked the C20 Entegra Class C with Greg from RVFunRental and the RV was very dirty (2nd red flag). We took photos of the RV before, inside and outside, and decided to move forward with our trip. Once we arrived at our destination and tried to start the generator it would not work. We called RVFunRental directly and they tried to walk us through a fix. Nothing worked and a mechanic could not come to our location. We had to deal with no AC or power with the June heat. It was very frustrating! Basically, a glorified tent. We coordinated the return of the RV with Greg to meet in Mission Viejo. Greg walked the RV with us and we informed about the issues we had with the generator and AC during our trip. It was very hot and unfortunate that the generator would not start. He apologized for the inconvenience and noted they would do their best to make it 'right'. He then proceeded to hook up his car to the RV(tow his vehicle using the RV) and drive back to their office located at 1553 S. Coast Hwy Oceanside, CA. The drive from Mission Viejo to Oceanside is about 40 miles. I tried to coordinate with Miguel from their office about our trip issues and a refund but nothing prevailed. He ghosted me and said he couldn't do anything. So I paid $1,805 for the RV and had no power basically to the RV! No refund or partial refund was ever given to me. RVShare and RVFunRental ignored my claim issues. A few days later we received an email from RVShare stating that there was a claim against us. I replied saying they MUST have it wrong since we were the ones who had issues. A month or so later RVShare again reached out and said the claim from RVFunRental was still open and that it is regarding "..the ABS light and traction control light coming on. This could indicate overheated brake components from improper use, harsh braking, or incorrect driving practices." We had no issues with braking or driving during our trip. The actual RV drove just fine. My husband, who drove, has a class A license and literally drives large vehicles for work. We have also owned RV's before in the past. To say we 'improperly used the brakes' is insane! And on top of it, as noted before, Greg used the RV after we returned it in Mission Viejo to tow his car back to their office. If there really were issues after our reservation, why would he proceed to drive the RV 40 additional miles towing a vehicle! I have been battling with RVShare as well since they deemed the claim OK and charged me the $1,500 deductable. RVFunRental's claim for this repair was $4,290!!!!! Absolutely insane that they are claiming we caused this damage! We literally had no issues with the brakes. RVFunRental has done this before to other renters as well. I added the reviews/ complaints from the Better Business Bureau below. PLEASE PLEASE do you own research and understand the RVShare insurance. It's very easy for 'owners' to submit claims and note that it was caused by the renter. It's an easy way for them to get money to fix outstanding issues, maintenance, etc. on their RVs. Smells A LOT like insurance FRAUD. I would NOT recommend using RVShare and would definitely not recommend using RVFunRental. I feel completely taken advantage of. Don't WALK, RUN away from using either of these companies. And if you nonetheless rent here, I urge you do the following: (1) Thoroughly review and photograph (time stamped) the trailer/vehicle and raise any flaws before you drive away. Otherwise, you might be accused of doing damage you did not do, as we were. (2) If your fully-functional vehicle mysteriously will not hook up to the Airstream trailer, forcing you to rent one of their pricey trucks at the last minute, be suspicious. This happened to us. On our return, we had our vehicle evaluated; it was fine and unlikely to have been the issue. (3) Check to make sure the hot water and heat actually work before you drive away. We did not, and we had no heat or hot water (do not know if it was user ignorance, or the trailer). Either way, we were offered no discount. (4) We received towels and sheets, and nothing else. Ignore the fancy website photos. No plates, cups, utensils, let alone corkscrews or cookware. Bring your own. (5) We wanted to rent the smaller Bambi trailer, but were told only the larger one was available. Unclear now to us if that was the truth, or what stock this company actually has. Caveat emptor.

TOILETs OVERFLOWED leading to sewage spills in the Bathroom floors. It was the worst nightmare. We had to shut off water mains and pumps too, to stop it. Due to which we had no water at all to use at any of the taps. This RV was the worst of all the RVs we have rented so far. On top of it the OWNER WAS NOT HELPFUL and WE did not get any Roadside service or RV repair done to fix the issues. During the return, we found out that the owners had known about this issue and still rented it out without repair. Toilet and flush issues. Emergency exit window latch broken, hydraulic leveling jacks not working, The SLIDE OUT was also an issue it never really slides in completely and has to be pushed inside from outside of the vehicle. Just a very poorly maintained vehicle. Lastly, the owner agreed to provide us a compensation when confronted about so many issues with the RV. But till date (which is 2 months ) after the rental. NO PARTIAL REFUND or COMPENSATION provided just FAKE promises. Our RECOMMENDATION to future renters- avoid renting from RV RENT CALIFORNIA : RV are not maintained and customer support when you are on the road with their RV is non- existent ( you can text and call, leave voicemail and expect no response). And they have zero customer care and appreciation- they knew the RV had issues ( still rent it out) and when confronted - lied about compensating for the issues. This is a good faith heads up to future renters.

We were stuck in 108-degree weather for over 4.5 hours with three small dogs, my wife, and my son. We also had issues that I had to fix myself with water in the diesel fuel. We missed almost all of the spots we wanted to stop at and had to drive some 10 hour days. It was one of the worst experiences we had. The table in the center was broken and fell into my wife, bruising her leg. If there were smaller kids, they might have been in serious trouble of getting hurt. All of the drawers had to be duct-taped closed. We had to put a paper on a window because the shade was missing. The front windshield was cracked, the fender was missing as the last renters knocked it off. They tried to charge us for this. The door going into the bedroom was broken and could not be closed during travel. We had to Jam a rag in to keep the door from slamming open and closed. The refrigerator failed on the three days causing all of our food to be thrown out. The passenger-side mirror was taped and kept falling and going out of position, which was very dangerous. This RV should be taken off the road; it's unsafe in its current condition. I could go on and on. I did cause damage to the awning, and our insurance paid for it. I have tried emailing for weeks and have made four calls for weeks on end, and Meaghann and Failenn have not had the common courtesy of responding to us. Avoid the company like the plague. Luck and perserverance help. If you do snag a spot, you will find great camping sites on the bluff with absolutely stunning views. The crash of the waves at night drowns out any city sounds that might otherwise be heard. It's so peaceful and just lulls you to sleep. Beach access is relatively easy, but there quite a few stairs to traverse. Sites are clean and the grounds are well kept.

I lucked out and found a super close parking spot in the neighborhood across the street. The beach itself was VERY short compared to sand length at other beaches so people were almost on top of each other. There was a pretty intense drop off about half way down the sand so it limited space for people to put down their stuff and lay out. I'm not sure how normal it is at this spot but there was a TON of rocks. It was way too much to be able to enter the water without having them beating your feet and ankles. My friend was bleeding after trying to check out the water. The surf was also a little intense that day so I'm wondering if that had any effect on the rock situation? This was a very clean beach with restrooms at the bottom of the ramp from the street so it did have that going for it but we decided to leave and head for a beach where we could safely go into the water that day. I'll have to come back another time to get a better idea.

We own a travel trailer and a 5th wheel, but our tow vehicle was out of commission. Despite this setback, we had a camping trip planned with a few other families. We reached out to JaeBug Trailer Rentals and received a response immediately. Booking was super easy; they were incredibly accommodating, especially since we had many moving parts and I can be a bit high-maintenance when coordinating these types of things with other families. We rented the 36' Genesis Supreme toy hauler, which was in pristine condition! Even though we brought everything from our travel trailer, they provided all the necessities and even had the beds made up. It literally came with everything you would need as a starting point. Where we were camping, it was HOT (high 90s to the 100s) during the day, and the A/C was amazing! The "master" bedroom had a REAL mattress; it was so comfortable, I didn't want to get out of bed. Not only was the trailer itself fantastic, but the customer service was also exceptional. The team at JaeBug Trailer Rentals was always available to answer any questions and went above and beyond to ensure we had a perfect trip. The whole process was very transparent. Was enough to win our business again. But we got into trouble twice, we hit a diamond road sign (which was not visible from the rear view mirror) and we were hit by another truck on the avenue of the giant which broke the driver side mirror. We duct taped a plastic mirror purchased from NAPA and completed our trip. We reported the incidents to AdventureKT (Which you always must do, it is not only the right thing to do, also it helps you and AdventureKT both to handle the situation, no one likes surprises right, when you are an adult :)). When returning, Chris took the video and picture of the slightly damaged vehicle. And told me they will follow up with me later on. We took outdoorsy third party insurance, where we hit some roadblock. But Chris and team went above and beyond to work with me, because if outdoorsy didnt pay for it, it would have been our responsibility. They kept in touch throughout the process and at the end with their help, outdoorsy approved the repair. This is very important, because it was on of the situation where AdventureKT was in loss, they couldnt use the vehicle for few days. But Chris kept his cool. One day i was upset and I was close to loose my cool, but Christ was professional with his assuring voice and did whatever he promised to do, in this not so ideal situation. Will rent from AdventureKT again, but do read the fine print of the insurances, which I was offered to purchase from outdoorsy.
