WOW where do I even begin.... I wish I had taken the previous reviewers' advice and steered clear…read moreof RVFunRental. I ended up being another victim of a ridiculous insurance claim that had completely no merit. $1,500(RVShare deductable) was charged 2 months after the trip. And on top of it all RVFunRental didn't even tell us there were any issues. Walked the RV upon return and noted everything looked great. In fact we were the ones who had issues with the RV during the trip. Details below.... First red flag, RVFunRental did a bait and swap with our RV a few weeks before the trip. They said the previous one had issues and gave us a different one. At departure, we met with Greg from RV Fun Rental in Mission Viejo. This is how they service OC clients, meet in Mission Viejo with the RV and a car towed behind and then use the car to return to their office. We walked the C20 Entegra Class C with Greg from RVFunRental and the RV was very dirty (2nd red flag). We took photos of the RV before, inside and outside, and decided to move forward with our trip. Once we arrived at our destination and tried to start the generator it would not work. We called RVFunRental directly and they tried to walk us through a fix. Nothing worked and a mechanic could not come to our location. We had to deal with no AC or power with the June heat. It was very frustrating! Basically, a glorified tent. We coordinated the return of the RV with Greg to meet in Mission Viejo. Greg walked the RV with us and we informed about the issues we had with the generator and AC during our trip. It was very hot and unfortunate that the generator would not start. He apologized for the inconvenience and noted they would do their best to make it 'right'. He then proceeded to hook up his car to the RV(tow his vehicle using the RV) and drive back to their office located at 1553 S. Coast Hwy Oceanside, CA. The drive from Mission Viejo to Oceanside is about 40 miles. I tried to coordinate with Miguel from their office about our trip issues and a refund but nothing prevailed. He ghosted me and said he couldn't do anything. So I paid $1,805 for the RV and had no power basically to the RV! No refund or partial refund was ever given to me. RVShare and RVFunRental ignored my claim issues. A few days later we received an email from RVShare stating that there was a claim against us. I replied saying they MUST have it wrong since we were the ones who had issues. A month or so later RVShare again reached out and said the claim from RVFunRental was still open and that it is regarding "..the ABS light and traction control light coming on. This could indicate overheated brake components from improper use, harsh braking, or incorrect driving practices." We had no issues with braking or driving during our trip. The actual RV drove just fine. My husband, who drove, has a class A license and literally drives large vehicles for work. We have also owned RV's before in the past. To say we 'improperly used the brakes' is insane! And on top of it, as noted before, Greg used the RV after we returned it in Mission Viejo to tow his car back to their office. If there really were issues after our reservation, why would he proceed to drive the RV 40 additional miles towing a vehicle! I have been battling with RVShare as well since they deemed the claim OK and charged me the $1,500 deductable. RVFunRental's claim for this repair was $4,290!!!!! Absolutely insane that they are claiming we caused this damage! We literally had no issues with the brakes. RVFunRental has done this before to other renters as well. I added the reviews/ complaints from the Better Business Bureau below. PLEASE PLEASE do you own research and understand the RVShare insurance. It's very easy for 'owners' to submit claims and note that it was caused by the renter. It's an easy way for them to get money to fix outstanding issues, maintenance, etc. on their RVs. Smells A LOT like insurance FRAUD. I would NOT recommend using RVShare and would definitely not recommend using RVFunRental. I feel completely taken advantage of. Don't WALK, RUN away from using either of these companies. Never the less the electricity inisde never worked, we threw away food and had to sleep in the dark and couldnt use the toilet due to water pump not working w/o electricity. WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER and NEVER received a call back. It ruined our 4th of July, I wasted all my time waiting for the tech and calling for help.

Our 25' rental was home for about two weeks. It started off a bit rough but ended very smoothly. We lost a day because we held off on packing it up as we noticed the registration was expired by nearly two months. After phone calls and a trip back to the yard (the kid we rented from struggled to help us), we were told to go ahead and load up and go; if we got any tickets, they would take care of them. On one leg of the trip, there were 5 of us: 3 adults and 2 big dogs. Brother-in-law found the bed up above the cab to be roomy but a tad claustrophobic. We're not sure it can comfortably sleep two adults up there haha. I loved that we had a freezer (I made dog food and froze into packets), fridge and strong AC. The air was on for almost the whole trip (our husky overheats easily). The rig itself was full of contradictions: notes posted said to not work on the vehicle yourself but that you are required to do oil changes at 6k miles (we checked fluids and changed a wiper blade ourselves). Other notes said not to drive off pavement, yet you can get a Cruise America discount at KOAs (which are all located off paved roads). The windshield had a crack in it that we discovered the hard way when rain came in and leaked all over the passenger side. We got a discount of a day for this issue (we wish we got two days for the day we lost packing, but this was appreciated). We returned the vehicle to a guy more knowledgeable than the one we rented from. We let him know the issues we encountered immediately so we wouldn't be charged for them (black water showed full most of the trip even though we didn't really use the toilet, locks on storage door and camper door wouldn't turn easily, wiper fluid didn't spray even after we filled it, etc). Overall, we would definitely rent again from them if we need to take a trip with our girls. Pros: - easy online reservations - lots of storage space - big fridge (used about 4 gal propane in two weeks; not bad!) - microwave - Godzilla motor was powerful (guy said we returned it at 60k miles which is what they blowout at; glad we didn't know that before we left) - dog-friendly!!! - very clean - KOA discounts Cons: - all the contradictory notes - locks struggle in extreme temps - main bed really high (I got bruised up so much that I started sleeping with the girls on the table-bed) - bed above not fully supported; bowed under the weight of an adult - toilet a bit high - rig door didn't open easily - registration not updated (we didn't get pulled over though) - fridge kept going off (we think it wanted to default its energy away from the propane)

We rented the 25' V8, and it accelerated quickly and rode smoothly. We went to Death Valley and Phoenix and had the AC on, and the motor and transmission never fluctuated or got hot at all! We had the RV dropped off at a military base and it was agreed that they would drive in on base and set it up. The guy who delivered didn't have a CA Real ID" and they wouldn't let him in the base. We needed up having to set it up and there was some issues with the hook up hoses. We had to purchase a hose and it still leaked. I left a couple messages and emails and got no answers. We ended up figuring everything out and had a great time. The guy brought his passport and picked up the RV with no issue. It took several calls after the rental to get ahold of someone about the issues we had with the drop off and set up. The only reason we got a return call is that I indicated that I was going to write a review. All in all, not such a bad experience that I wouldn't rent from them again. Now I know how to navigate the conversation of what our expectations are.

The whole process was very transparent. Was enough to win our business again. But we got into trouble twice, we hit a diamond road sign (which was not visible from the rear view mirror) and we were hit by another truck on the avenue of the giant which broke the driver side mirror. We duct taped a plastic mirror purchased from NAPA and completed our trip. We reported the incidents to AdventureKT (Which you always must do, it is not only the right thing to do, also it helps you and AdventureKT both to handle the situation, no one likes surprises right, when you are an adult :)). When returning, Chris took the video and picture of the slightly damaged vehicle. And told me they will follow up with me later on. We took outdoorsy third party insurance, where we hit some roadblock. But Chris and team went above and beyond to work with me, because if outdoorsy didnt pay for it, it would have been our responsibility. They kept in touch throughout the process and at the end with their help, outdoorsy approved the repair. This is very important, because it was on of the situation where AdventureKT was in loss, they couldnt use the vehicle for few days. But Chris kept his cool. One day i was upset and I was close to loose my cool, but Christ was professional with his assuring voice and did whatever he promised to do, in this not so ideal situation. Will rent from AdventureKT again, but do read the fine print of the insurances, which I was offered to purchase from outdoorsy.

I have emailed and called several times with no response. I don't think this company is still in business. They still have a website and you can still book and pay, but no one on the other end. Terrible customer service if they are still open. I am screwed now because i have to book a last minute reservation with another company and my trip is tomorrow. This is the worst situation i have ever been in with a company. I would not book online. I would try to get someone live and if you cannot, don't book it.
