I was pleased by their location. It was the most convenient of all in my area. The 2 stars I'm submitting is solely based on the 2 pluses I personally encountered. The initial contact I had with the shop via telephone was with an actual person whom answered the call; it wasn't an automated recording, making the customer feel the shop offers a more personalized service. The owner's involvement and attempt to make things right after lack of communication and untruths holds the value of the second Star. I scheduled my appointment with Bob for 830 am the following morning. I arrived on time and communicated the maintenance services I was hoping the shop could and would perform. Bob and I discussed the services and he provided me with an estimate focusing primarily (75%) on labor with an understanding there would be additional charges for parts that would be communicated later. I was not aware the cost of parts would NOT be presented to me until I picked up my truck and I was presented the final bill for the services performed on my truck. Bob told me at the time of drop off I would receive a phone call for the cost of parts (fluids) which I never did. The maintenance estimate for my truck was for 4 1/2 hours of labor. I left the shop at 9am after explaining I had to walk to and from my home (2 1/2 miles one way) for drop off and pick up and should any additional work or parts be necessary I would need to be called by 4 pm in order to arrive promptly by the time the shop closed to pick up my truck (5pm). Because I did not receive any calls by the agreed upon time of 4pm I started to walk to pick up my truck. While walking to the shop I received a phone call at 421 pm but due to the urgency to meet a timeframe and because I didn't recognize the phone number I did not stop to answer the call. I later learned it was Bob. When I arrived at the shop at 440 I was surprised to learn my truck was not ready for pick up. I was informed they weren't even halfway done with it ? Which meant only 2 of the 4 1/2 hours were completed. Bob told me he left a message that my truck was not completed and it would need to stay overnight, but in fact the message did not say that. Not that it matters at this point but his message only said he had some information about my truck and it was obvious they were going to hold it over til the following day. No mention of not being finished which could have meant because I was unreachable or because Bob thought I wouldn't make it to them on time they would hold it over. If my truck was not even halfway done by the time I arrived to pick it up at 440 I'm finding it hard to believe that no one knew before the voicemail Bob left for me at 421 that my truck would not be finished by closing. Basic math tells me otherwise. Leaving me with many unanswered questions that will never get answered. Perhaps I'm guilty of comparing "owners" "shop managers" "service writers" and "technicians" to my husband and son and I hold them accountable to similar work ethics. The buck stops with the business owner. To excuse yourself from the lack of communication and staff professionalism is wrong. Employees should be trained that every customer deserves the same time and treatment. My family and I appreciate the "discount" and the comp tire rotation. Unfortunately our final bill was still far more than discussed but will accept it as a learning experience and will demand prices for ALL parts And Labor be communicated by other shops prior to signing any agreement. Thank you Jason for offering a car rental but that wouldn't have done us any good if I needed to transport my husband in the 26 hours you had possession of my truck for 4 1/2 hours of labor. My truck isn't just a vehicle that can get me from point A to point B like any other vehicle. This truck is custom tailored for my husband's now disabilities and needs. It transports him, his motorized wheelchair and hoyer lift to and from places. I also appreciate the offer of a "ride" but that didn't make up for my time my energy and my trust and faith I lost in your shop. My hopes are to educate Any future customers They should definitely ask for a detailed cost estimate including labor AND all parts as to avoid any shock in any additional charges to their bill and hold the shop more accountable to communication. So I sent it back, even paid for return shipping. Stupidly, I paid using Zelle (probably the red flag that I should have seen) and so now I'm out the money, AND the part lol. miracle workers, take it in for misfire on 2 cylinders, water in cylinders, exhaust gasses in the…read moreradiator coolant and over heating, confirmed by another mechanic that refused to work through the extended warranty company, the extended warranty covers power train only and i confirmed they will pay to do the gasket if needed, counter guy kept giving me a price to replace the had gasket at like $3k and the radiator has a small leak and that would need replaced as well, he said they have pictures but i never got them either by their web login thing or email, never saw it, radiator not covered under service warranty. the counter guy mentioned blue devil a couple times that it worked on his car, I just wanted the gasket done under the contract and i will pay for that radiator, $1900, they did the radiator and wow, the misfires are gone and the head gasket miraculously fixed itself, I just dont get how this could happen??? on 2 other notes from previous service work done here, Before Ralph sold the place I never had an issue, but since then my son took his 98 ranger in to find a vacuum leak, they said it was done, paid the bill, when he picked it up the ac vents didnt work, took it back and there was an entire foot of hose that was corroded and fell off, guess they didnt take a test spin. 2013 expedition transmission service, probably not a big deal but worth mentioning, they did a filter and fluid swap, it calls for Mercon lLV, they used type F fluid. Just lost all confidence in this place now. As of today misfires came back cylinder 2 and 3. Same 2 cylinders in question iriginally, Overheating badly. Water in oil. Guess the problem was not address/fixed properly by a radiator replacement, Less than 1000 miles after so-called repairs.

No responsibility was taken. On the third vehicle, interior parts were broken during the visit. I wasn't informed at the time and only discovered it afterward. When I asked about it, I was told that "cars get old and brittle and things break." Again, no offer to repair or replace the damaged parts. I understand older vehicles can have age-related issues, but proper installation, communication, and accountability are important. After multiple issues and the same response each time, this will be the last time I bring any of my vehicles here, and I won't be recommending this shop.
