I totally agree with the last review. A friend referred Alberto to me after he repaired someone else's bad work. Based on what I saw, it appeared he did good work. However, after I hired Alberto my friend commented he had one issue at the end of the job where he alleged Alberto broke something but Alberto argued with him and blamed it on someone else. My friend corrected the problem himself.
First thing, Alberto is a good salesperson and pretends to listen to you and tell you what you want to hear and what he's going to do. He'll say one thing but his crew will do something else and then he'll blame it on you. Obviously, there is a lack of communication between Alberto and his crew. You can even have landscape plans like I had and he suggested a slight change and then put partial blame on me because I agreed with the professional/Alberto.
Everything from the brackets being placed at a slight wrong angle, which if you're building a square structure is a no no, to the wrong slope of the concrete, Alberto placed part of the blame on me for some reason he devised.. He even repaired a section due to an incorrect slope and suggested I pay half of the costs. I agreed thinking he' d accept responsibility or realize it's good customer service. Again, his crew messed up and the color is not even close (splotchy) and they brushed it in a different direction as the original brushed concrete. It was the same crew (his son) who did the work so it was not like he did not know. When Alberto came out he said his son brushed it in the direction he did so the water could flow better. Really?
If you want a flat piece of concrete, maybe a sidewalk, without any concerns for slope or detail, then Alberto and his crew would be okay.
FYI-This appears to be the same Alberto's Concrete as other Yelp entry given the fact that both phone numbers listed are the office numbers listed on the business card I have. read more
