I have been waiting to write this review to see how my purchase turned out. I walked into Alberto's 4 months ago as I was needing a washer and dryer set without the price tag of a brand new one. Right when I walked in I was impressed with the staff's expertise and selection. They also have an impressive warranty. We bought a pair of washer and dryers from Alberto's for about 500 hundred dollars. The dryer never worked consistently. We paid for one of the nicer dryers they had but the one that came was not the same one we picked out. When they came to try to fix it, they'd make it work while they're at our house and as soon as they leave, it would stop working again. This went on for months. We still don't have a dryer that works. We were trying to get a good deal but it's better to go to a reputable place that way at least if things don't work as they promised they are under warranty. read more

Found this place based on positive Yelp reviews. Picked up a used Maytag washer and dryer there for $270 including free delivery (within 20 mile radius) and free installation. They delivered them the same day I bought them. They came with a 30 day full warranty and after that Alberto's only charges for parts if anything goes wrong (or if I provide the part they will install it for free) for as long as I have the appliances. I dealt with three different people including the delivery guy and everyone was extremely nice and very helpful. I highly recommend going to Alberto's. read more

What a breath of fresh air! We were a bit wary pulling into someone's driveway, because we couldn't see the large warehouse from the road--it just looked like a house at first, and we almost didn't stop. SO glad we did! They waved us back to the warehouse and showed us all the options available. I believe most of their inventory is gently used, but they clean everything up so nice it's hard to tell unless you look really close! They were so easy to deal with! Yes was the answer to almost all my questions. FREE delivery, FREE hookup, FREE 30- day warranty, FREE service calls for life! They delivered it the same day, too! The delivery guy even said that if we had any problems that they would come out and take a look to determine what was wrong at no charge, we could source the parts on Amazon, and they would come back out and fix it at no charge-- for life. I didn't have to lift a finger. The delivery guy even started the washing machine up and ran it through a full cycle to make sure all connections were tight and explained the noises-- he said if we ever heard any different noises to call them. I own lots of rental property so I need a constant supply of working appliances that run without any problems and are clean and new looking. Look no further than Alberto's Appliances!! They have been my sole source for appliances for over a year. I stopped buying appliances from Craigslist because I never knew if the stove, fridge or washer would work once I got it off the delivery truck. I love the inventory which Alberto's Appliances offer. Their appliances work great and they offer a warranty on what they sell. If it breaks during the warranty period, they'll fix it or replace it --now that's incredible service. Delivery and installation are free. I stopped shopping anywhere else-Alberto's has everything I need. Luis is very knowledgeable about his inventory (which is always changing) I love it that I can call him and tell him what I'm looking for and he'll call me back and tell me if he has it. We purchased a used refrigerator from them a year and a half ago. I supposed it worked fine up until about a month ago. I naturally decided to call them to come check out the fridge since we had bought it there. I called them on a Monday and the young man (can't remember if his name was Luis or Mario) told me that there was no way they could make it out that same day. To be honest I didn't expect them to since most places will take at least a day or two to make it out. He did tell me that it would be until the next day (Tuesday) when they could come out. I asked him to please call me before they headed out since I would have to leave work to go meet them. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday came and went without a call. Sucks!! Not that I waited for them but it's not easy trying to find someone to work on a used fridge. Friday rolled around and I was pissed to say the least. The gall!! I called up and the same guy answered the phone. I told him that they were supposed to of been out to check my fridge on Tuesday and that they never came. The only thing he asked for was my name again and that they could come out that same day BUT it would be late in the evening. WTH? No attempt at an apology (not that it would of done any good) I figured I had gone a week without cold beer and bologna so I agreed. Well, they finally made it out around 7PM but turns out my fridges control board was shot. The parts were almost as much as I had paid for the damn thing!! I said "screw you and your fridge". Thinking back I think I was the one that got the screwing. I would agree with most all of the reviews in that they jump when it comes to selling their appliances but their SERVICE definitely does not mirror their "professionalism" as to when they're trying to sell you an appliance. I purchased a used refrigerator from Alberto's about a year ago. It was delivered on time and they took the old one away. A few days later, it started making sounds of distress. I called, they sent someone out and replaced the fan (that's what was making the noise). Problem solved! Fast forward to about a week ago, my washing machine would not spin, nor drain. I went to Alberto's to see what a replacement would cost, but decided to have them come and take a look at the old one, first. Michael just left. All fixed. Sort of an industrial park road, the warehouse is behind another building. I'm not gonna lie, as a young woman I was a little nervous when I pulled up there alone. My boyfriend was on the phone with me and told me to just go check it out. I'm so glad I did! He was so friendly and helpful. I told him my budget and he took me around to several options. I got a great washer/dryer set for $350. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the hook up was done poorly -crossed lines caused a leak- but my handy man fixed it for me. Really watch for the sign or you might miss it, as it is set back a little further from the road and hidden by some greenery. We shopped around a lot for a cheap fridge. We want to the Sears outlet, as well as Craigslist. But Alberto's had the best prices by far. We got a stainless steel side by side for $400. They delivered and installed for free. Delivery schedule was several hours off, accounting for my missing star, but generally something I am willing to forgive given the deal. We also had a problem with the freezer about two weeks after we got it. Turned out to be something really simple, a spring that had moved turning transit. I did have to call 2x to get a service appointment, but once it was scheduled they showed up on time and were very pleasant. Fridge comes w 30 day warrantee on parts and lifetime labor, so very pleased with entire experience. Inventory varies daily, and they certainly had higher end products. Ok, if you are coming here for some perfect, luxury service, go and pay full price at Sears or Best Buy!?! They have a separate, specialized service department for that price tag!!:) Please, understand that you get what you pay for. With that in mind, I spent $150 on a washer/dryer set that was brought to my apartment for FREE. The Dryer worked like a dream. The washer after time needed to be hand-cranked(oops-i paid 150 for a washer and dryer!) But it still works like a charm and cleans very well, and I plan on having them pick it up when I am done with it. So, 150 bucks for 4 years of usage and then free drop off and free pick up = Score. read more

These guys are great. We moved to a new apartment and needed to provide our own appliances. Alberto's had a selection from generic brand traditional machines to name brand front loading high efficiency sets. The top of the line HE models seemed to be going for $500-600 a set. I nearly went with the high efficiency, but ultimately decided to go with a traditional set that looked like good quality for $324 with tax. Our price all-in was very low and they delivered free within 2 hours of our move in. Both the salesman and the delivery/installation guy were friendly and helpful. We've had the washer & dryer for about a month now and they're working well. They offered a 30 day parts & labor warranty and lifetime labor warranty. Not only that, as I talked to them about the parts costs of repairing the fancy electronics in the new HE machines they quoted prices for parts like main circuit boards that are about 25% of what most places want to charge for a new part (used parts for sure, but the point is they're going to make upkeep on their machines as reasonable as possible!). The location is a shed behind a house. Not much to look at, but they're focused on refurbishing machines and providing good customer service and I can't argue with that. read more

I had bought a washer & dryer here 4yrs ago and was very pleased with the service & set. I then recommended to my mom to get a washer/ dryer set from Alberto's. Well she has hard a bad experience. She purchased a Kenmore washer/ dryer set. They delivered it and the delivery guy scratched & damaged her floor. Then less than a month later her washer started over filling and wasn't working properly. She called Alberto's and it was still under the 45 day warranty. They sent out a repair man & he said they need to order a part. Then 6 weeks later a repairman comes only to say he has the wrong part. Now they are saying that they need to replace the washer, but her Kenmore series they don't get very often and they want to replace it with an older model. The washer was purchased in March & it's mid- June. My mom still has no washer. Crappy service & crappy products. read more

Back in August I moved into a new place. We had a used drier from a family member, but were in need of a washing machine and refrigerator. However, we weren't ready to buy something brand new. We started with a washing machine from Alberto's. They had so many to choose from (sets or singles) at great prices. I'd been doing a ton of searching online (craigslist, etc) and these prices were definitely better, and they guaranteed the appliances worked and they could always fix any issues we might have in the future. So, a week later we returned for a fridge. Alberto was very helpful in trying to give us what we said we wanted and was even willing to negotiate on prices a bit. Major bonus: they delivered it to our house for free!! A few weeks later the fridge side went out. We called Alberto's and they had someone come out to fix it. Another two weeks went by and the freezer side went out. The next day they had someone come look at it and decided to swap it out for a different (extremely similar if not a little better) refrigerator. I love the lifetime labor warranty and since they have so many parts, they sell used ones cheap when they come and fix your stuff - at like 1/4 the price. An outstanding little company. They were extremely friendly and informative in helping us pick the best washer-dryer (for only $340, a fraction of what we would have paid anywhere else--they take credit now), and delivered it to our (third-floor!!) apartment the next business day for a minimal fee. After a couple days we had some problems with water leaking into the tub and we called them--even though the problem was with the valves (so, not with the washer at all, but with our apartment's plumbing), they still came out across town and replaced the entire set of valves for free. Throughout the whole process the guys (we worked with Arthur and Hiram) have been tremendously helpful, polite and friendly. It's places like this that convince me of the importance of finding and supporting local businesses instead of the big box stores--I'd strongly recommend Alberto's to anyone who is looking to buy a washer-dryer or similar appliance. read more

Wanting to support local businesses, I bought a set of the plain-jane models: I think I spent like $450 total with delivery. Before picking this pair, I made sure to ask how old they were. I asked this question to get a feel for how old the motor, belt, other wearable parts would be. I was told the set was under 10 years old (I think the salesman said "6 years old" but it was definitely single digits: I wouldn't have paid $200 for a washer or dryer over 10 years old). Fast-forward 9 months, and the dryer motor failed. Just looking around to price replacement parts, and after some internet research, the model number indicated my dryer was built BEFORE 1996!! Wowza! That's about a 15 year error, there... Needless to say, the replacement motor cost almost as much I paid for the whole friggin' dryer, so...Not going down that route. Dunno if this normal for them, but I was definitely misled. Be sure and ask the salesman to PROVE to you how old the dryer is before. People on craigslist are more honest than this salesman. Edit: Just pushed the dryer back from the wall to move it, found that the installer secured the exhaust vent tubing with a plastic zip tie...huh? Dryer exhaust is hot. I wouldn't think a PLASTIC zip tie is up to code, much less that it seals worth a darn. Hose clamps are used for a reason. And they're cheap. read more

I recommend using Alberto's Appliances. They accommodated a couple of bumps in the road, offered to take off part of the delivery fee off when there was a little leak and later came back out to correct another issue.
