We stayed in Bruges at the Albert I hotel as our home base for our 6 nights in Belgium. This was a brilliant choice, it was a great hotel in a great location. It was about 10 minute walk to the train station, so it was very easy to take day trips to other cities.
The hotel is so lovely, as is the staff. Our family room was pretty big, very big for Europe. It had a king (more like Queen for American size but that's still great) need in the main room, with plenty of space in the room. And the bathroom had a bathtub!
Then there was a door with a smaller room with two twin size beds, a chair, a sink, and another room with a toilet! That was incredible! My son said that smaller room was the same size as the hotel room we had in London!
I would call this a boutique hotel, it's small and charming with a lovely breakfast. Christine at breakfast was so friendly and helpful. Everyone at the front desk were friendly and helpful.
Even traveling with a 7 year old boy, everything here was easy.
We loved Belgium, loved Bruges, and loved his hotel. Everyone should come here! read more
