I'm writing this review from the perspective of a small, well behaved, dog owner. I'm sure the non-pet rooms in this hotel were MUCH nicer than what we ended up with. There are only 2 dog rooms in the hotel and they're both on the main floor next to the entry way. As far as the room itself, it was just ok. We found the bed to be quite uncomfortable and the room to be too noisy for our liking. Also, when we asked several times for tea and hot water from the male front desk man, he seemed very irritated.
After the first night when I asked the same man at the front desk if we could have another room, he told us he'd move us upstairs right at that moment. I happily accepted his offer and told him I'd be right back with our stuff, after I went back to our room and packed. I did so, only to return and have him tell me that we were already in one of the two dog rooms and he couldn't move us after all. This was really aggravating considering I had reminded him that we had a dog when I requested he move us.
We stayed 3 nights here and decided to extend our stay in Brugges, but we found a much nicer hotel that gave us their best room even with our dog! After the crappy service from the male front desk worker, I would never bother returning here. read more
