My girlfriend and I spent two nights here and absolutely loved it. The hotel is right on the canal, and our double window (room 12) opened right onto the water. What a view! The room was small but comfortable and cozy. The bathroom was TINY - hardly bigger than an airplane bathroom, with a shower that's about two feet square and doors that don't offer much privacy from the rest of the room. So if that's an issue for you, be prepared. But, seeing how Bruges is a medieval town, I suppose tiny bathrooms are the norm in most hotels. Completely worth it, considering the awesome location!
WiFi access costs €5 for the whole stay and includes use of the house computer in the lobby. The hotel serves breakfast, but we didn't try it. Too much to do!
Short walk to market square, the famous belfry, and shopping along the Wollestraat. The windmills are about a 15-minute walk in the other direction. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby. We walked all over Bruges from our base at the Ter Reien, and we didn't use taxis at all (except to get to and from the train station).
We had a great stay and will definitely be back. read more
