We had two nights in Bruges and booked somewhere walkable to to stay (driving in the old historic town is really not necessary or convenient).
We parked underground a half a block from the hotel, and left it there for our stay.
The hotel is very small and quaint (24 rooms or so). It is a restored former warehouse from the 14th century. We had a three bed family room that was unbelievably comfortable and large. The windows faced onto the front street, and the view was so pretty and the area was very quiet. The beds were exceptional, and we wanted for nothing.
The owners run the place and are so kind and helpful. They have made every room unique and just touring the place was full of surprises. The owner gave us a history of the place as he set out our morning breakfast each day. The included breakfast is over the top generous and quality home baked goods, coffee, eggs, fruit, cereal, meat, cheese, yogurt and more.
The high lite was the breakfast room which is a full brick former silk storage warehouse and is amazing. It is a must see.
This place is an attraction all on its own, but Bruges is unforgettable. read more
