We stayed at the Hotel Diana during our guided trip to Italy. Although it seems to be on a quiet narrow street, this street can be busy and noisy at times.
The hotel is an older building and all the rooms seem to be unique. Our room was smallish but clean and comfortable. We were not fond of the bathroom which had a smallish tub with only an annoyingly half shower doors and a shower head on a hose that had a mind of its own.
Two complaints.
The closet rod in our closet was so high that even 6' 2" tall Mr. Rinky had trouble reaching it. There were hooks in the small hallway that I used to hang my jacket. The room safe easily fits two laptops---our iPad and Mac Air (not sure if they would accommodate larger laptops).
The 2nd complaint--not many electrical outlets.
Our tour included buffet breakfast and some meals. The buffet is pretty basic :
tea or coffee, juices, cold cereals. breads which could be toasted, eggs (scrambled or hard boiled), bacon, sausage, yogurt.
We found the staff to be friendly and helpful, especially the servers/bus people in the dining room. The front desk staff were helpful with info and calling taxis for us.
The Wi-Fi is very iffy. Some people in our group had great reception and others including us had very poor intermittent service. It also took awhile for the staff not to charge us the standard 5 Euros a day since our group plan included free wi-fi.
The location was great ---close to the train station, museums, ristorantes... read more
