LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!!
I know I sounded that an infomercial on that one but forreal.
I liked everything about this place except one thing which was air conditioning.
If this is your first time in Rome, I highly recommend this hotel. If you are looking for a bougie experience, then this hotel is not for you. If you are on a budget, want to have that Rome-y ancient vibe, be close to the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, etc, then this is the place for you.
We came to Rome during the President's Day weekend of 2019 so technically it is their "winter" but for some reason the weather was high 50s and mid-60s, so essentially, it was warm to have the heat in the building. So essentially, I was obviously hot and there was no way to control our own temperature so we opt in for having the balcony doors/windows open - it was very noisy outside during the night and early in the morning. But that is not a big deal to me because like I said I liked the location.
Things I liked about this hotel:
-taxi service. We were picked up from the airport because I did not have to have the hassle to take a train and a bus to the hotel and in those cobblestones. Flat rate fee of $50 if you are coming in during regular hours but it's $60 if you are coming in super late or super early.
-great front desk staff. We were greeted with a smile as soon as we got there! The front desk is so helpful with everything! We bought bus tickets from them, booked our taxi, etc. You can also ask them for a great wealth of information you may need. Ask and they have an answer. You can leave your keys with them if you are sightseeing for the day. The front desk is 24/7 so when you come back, just say your room number, and they will give you the keys! You won't lose your keys that way! They gave us a great room on the 4th floor with a balcony overlooking the street and Hadrian's temple!
-Views. If you are on the 4th floor, the view of the street is really cool.
-Price. It's pretty affordable but I can see this place being expensive in the peak seasons.
-Efficiency. Lots of outlets, appropriate amount of amenities, etc. Yes the bathroom and rooms are outdated but this hotel is literally next to Hadrian's Temple, like it fitted the scene. If you want new and fancy, go somewhere else. The bathroom is suffice for me in my opinion. It's got a shower, a bidet, a toilet, and a sink. Room service comes everyday to clean! It's got a tv, 2 bed stands, a huge closet, and a desk. Building has an elevator and it is next to a pharmacy so if you forgot toiletries, they gotchu next door!
-Next to restaurants and 5 mins walk to the Trevi and about 7 mins walk to the Pantheon where all the restaurants are.
I will stay here again when I come back to Rome!!! I actually loved this place a lot, it had everything I need plus more around the hotel.
We never tried the breakfast on the top balcony but I will next time I stay here! read more
