After getting a UTI and using the prescribed antibiotics it came back within 2 days, was put on another antibiotic and it came back again. Tried a third and sent in a culture and was told on a Monday he had an antibiotic resistant strain of bacteria UTI and it was quite serious. Mr Massey said he would make sure he put in a prescription for the antibiotic to cover him until home health IV antibiotics was set up. He said that would be either Wednesday or Thursday. Nothing was put through, daily we called their office, our pharmacy called twice and the receptionist at Dr Yamada's office said we needed to be patient. Well by Thursday his UTI got worse and he ended up in the hospital. They immediately screened his infection and put him on the correct IV antibiotic and had home health IVs for 10 days arranged for the following day. This office was nothing short of negligent in their care and follow through.

At appointment time, a nurse guy brought me and gave me a cup to pee in for testing. Then checked my bladder for urine retention after. Then waited about close to 30 minutes to see the PA i was scheduled to see. He apologized for the wait and then asked about my history and symptoms. He was able to conclude that due to my negative tests and my posture, that i was most likely having on and off symptoms due to nerve related problems. He recommended me to see a physical therapist and try a standing desk to alleviate the symptoms. A lot better than doctors that would push antibiotics/meds despite negative results. Hopefully I don't have come back here again, but I would recommend this urology center if you are having urological problems!

If it's an option to request him as your PCP, I would highly recommend you do so and I promise, you won't regret it!

My dad wanted a second opinion and we went to USC Keck where the MD there wanted to take a very aggressive approach that included removal of an organ. He didn't even look at my dad or ask him questions. Back to Dr. Dikranian we told him of the opinion and he did not agree. We agreed with Dr. Dikranian as well. My dad had two procedures to get the situation resolved. Unfortunately my dad didn't take his medicine as prescribed and had to be taken to the ER. Dr. Dikranian was in communication with the hospitalist and the issue was promptly resolved. We are really thankful for Dr. Dikranian for his knowledge and his incredible bedside manner. We also appreciate his bilingual staff who make us feel welcome and the ease to make appointments.

I made an appointment with Aaron M Krug, M. D. at the Huntington Urology Specialists. Was able to schedule an appointment in less than a week. Dr. Krug completed an extensive evaluation. I had a sinus procedure earlier this month, and will admit my experience was decent. The only…read morethings that I did not like were the following: 1. I was told to check-in for my procedure at 7am with my procedure being at 9am. When I arrive at HASC, there was no receptionist at the registration desk to check me in. I and a few other patients had to wait for like 30 minutes for a receptionist to show up. The Pre-Op nurses called me around 7:27am asking if I was running late in which the receptionist, Rosie, just arrived. I told them there was no one at the desk to check me or others in when I arrived and that she is now backed up. I don't know if she was on break, in the restroom, started later, or whatever the situation was I found it very unprofessional. From someone who has worked in healthcare, there should always be someone manning the front desk at all times; when I worked we always had someone to cover. 2. I and my mother felt the PACU nurse, Wafaa, bedside manner could have been better as she was very blunt and seemed stressed. I don't recall my surgeon visiting me in PACU but I was probably still under anesthesia. 3. For me being at 6'1"-6'2", the gurneys were too short to the point where I can feel I was sliding down. I bring this up more as a patient safety concern and understand that each facility differs with its resources but that shouldn't mean anything that compromises patient safety. To add to patient safety, I don't recall a timeout being performed in the OR but idk if I can't remember due to the anesthesia. 4. I was told that I would be getting a Post-Op call the next day but never got one. I had to call today to speak with a nurse regarding my Post-Op recovery (which is going well). Other than these, my procedure went very well. My pain was brief. The rest of the staff were very nice and helpful; I got a ton of Post-Op supplies to help me in my recovery. I would definitely go back to HASC for outpatient procedures and hope that these areas improve for patient safety, efficiency, and comfort.
